Sie wurde bei ihrer Einstellung scheinbar lediglich auf ihr Äußeres reduziert, aus einem Wrestling-Blinkwinkel betrachtet bleibt einem allerdings auch nichts anderes übrig."

Some of these women - like Maria Kanellis, Michelle McCool and first winner Christy Hemme - found their place in wrestling, in the ring or otherwise, and some still work in the industry to this day. Others never really found their way, and that was the fate of Ms. Giovanni. Unquestionably a good-looking woman, Joy was never a wrestler (her only match credit was a cameo in the Miss WrestleMania Battle Royal in 2009, years after her full run with the company) and was never really a valet or manager either, only briefly managing the Big Show. She essentially just filled a roster space to appear in bikini contests and the like, and unsurprisingly her run was brief."

It's also worth noting how useless Joy Giovanni was in Smackdown vs. Raw 2006. She had a popularity GM Mode score of a 12 out of 100. You never wanted her as a member of your brand."
