Starlight Kid

[10.0] "One of the Aces of Stardom, one of the best in ring workers employed and one of the best Joshis in the world, Starlight Kid is simply brilliant. The aura and mystique of her character is cool both when she was with Oedo Tai and now in Neo Genesis, her in ring ability is unmatched, you're never in for a boring match of Starlight Kid is involved."

[10.0] "Starlight Kid is one of the best babyfaces in Stardom (she did an excellent job as a heel as well), and one of the best talents in the world, no doubt about it. When she steps into the ring, you can always be sure you'll see an incredible match. Great character, charismatic, and an amazing performer. She did really well as a Wonder of Stardom Champion, and I'm looking forward to seeing her as a World of Stardom Champion soon, and hopefully as the winner of the 5 STAR GP this year or in 2027."

[10.0] "A career of constant progression and always being in the spotlight, from the inaugural Future of Stardom Champion, to her time with the high speed belt, to now having a really solid run with the Wonder of Stardom Championship. SLK has always been talented and the potential has been obvious, more and more she is adding to her move set and getting closer and closer to that elite potential that has been evident for years. Future World of Stardom or IWGP Women's Champion."

[9.0] "One of my favourite female wrestlers at the moment. Great athletic and in ring ability and a good character as well. She has the makings of a big star and should win the World of Stardom Championship sooner rather than later. Had a great reign as the High Speed Championship, won the Wonder Championship against one of her top rivals in one of my favourite women's matches; Hopefully, the future is bright and she continues to rise to the top of Stardom."

[9.0] "One of my favorite masked female wrestlers ever, she's very good in the ring and a really good high flyer and extremely talented in the ring."

[10.0] "One of the coolest looking pro wrestlers out there. SLK has been a favorite of mine for some time now. Rarely misses in ring. She has transformed from being one of the best in high speed to being an amazing technical wrestler. One of the best going."

[9.0] "I'll admit it: I was probably one of the biggest doubters and haters of Starlight Kid a couple of years ago. I thought that she was mostly carried by the fact that she's oozing easy natural charisma with her look and aesthetic, which is already completely unique from the rest of the Stardom roster, as well as being easily the best presented wrestler in Stardom, easily. But here we are in present day where I can say finally with complete confidence that she has evolved into a wrestler who's skills in-ring are now easily on par with her look. I was worried when she stopped being an outright heel, as that is where she seemed to excel, but now she is working how own unique character as a semi-tweener and telling the best stories in Stardom today, which only make her matches that much more compelling. Her new role in a non-heel group has also given her the chance to show off some great underdog performances in some of her most recent quality matches. Whether she's flying through the sky or systematically dismantling you limb by limb, Starlight Kid is doing it with a level of finesse and emotion that few can match. If you're new to Stardom, look into her recent matches: they are perfect examples of peak Joshi."

[9.0] "Good Lord, how much do I love Starlight Kid? It's hard not to be utterly captivated by this dynamic performer. She has carved out a space for herself as a semi-elite talent with a unique blend of high-flying agility, technical prowess, and an undeniable aura that sets her apart in any ring she steps into. Her style is fast, innovative, and always engaging. Starlight Kid's matches are often showcases of creativity and resilience, featuring breathtaking maneuvers and sharp counters that keep audiences on the edge of their seats. Beyond her athleticism, her ability to tell stories through her work and her evolving character adds depth to her matches that many wrestlers strive for but rarely achieve. She has grown steadily, transforming from a promising rookie into one of the pillars of her promotion. Starlight Kid's consistent performances and magnetic presence make her a natural leader and a must-watch for any serious fan. A 9.0 rating is not given lightly--she truly embodies what it means to be semi-elite, balancing excitement and skill with a professionalism that promises an even brighter future ahead."

[10.0] "Rating her a 10 purely based on the phenomenal run she's had since winning the white belt at the end of last year. Somehow every single defence has been a good-great match, no matter who she works with. This last defence against Saori really solidified Starlight Kid's WOTY status, and I'm certain that the company is going to put her in contention for the red belt sooner rather than later."

[9.0] "Already achieved so much with less than 10 years experience at time of commenting. Great technician and has the whole package in terms of presentation and character work. A case of when (not if) she wins the big one."

[10.0] "Starlight Kid is such a fantastic wrestler and someone I always enjoy watching, one of the few I still will watch a Stardom show for. I just wish she was booked better."

[9.0] "High speed wrestler with bags of charisma who is able to work equally well as both a heel and a face. Facial expressions are excellent, especially considering most of it is hidden by the mask. Great look, good move set, good selling, good promo - cant really knock SLK. Theme song is great too. Looking forward to her white belt run."

[10.0] "Starlight kid is simply amazing. She's a great in-ring worker filled with charisma and mystery. When I hear her theme song it's like i'm entering a different dimension, I know my eyes are going to be blessed with a performance that's one of a kind, often filled with high-flying moves that top the industry. 10/10 for me."

[10.0] "Immense talent in the ring, big personality, excellent on the microphone, incredible ease in transmitting emotions while being masked, strong on social networks, strong on the media, the perfect wrestler."

[7.0] "I think she's fine. I don't hate her, but I think there are others on the STARDOM roster like Natsupoi and Suzu Suzuki who are better than her. Not a compelling heel, but a fun babyface to watch. Nothing extremely "wow" about her in 2024, but is consistent and serviceable enough to get a positive rating."

[9.0] "She is an amazing wrestler, who elevates her fellow stable mates and competitors alike. She will put newcomers over and help them establish themselves, without taking away from her own momentum. Starlight is likely the next White belt champion, and I am here for it! Neo Genesis is quickly growing into the faction to watch!"

[10.0] "Her and Azumi are a massive part of what opened my eyes to joshi wrestling in general, one of my absolute favorites and one of the coolest looking wrestlers on the planet, top-tier talent with an even higher ceiling, easy 10/10 from me..."

[10.0] "When i started watching Stardom, two people were instantly my favorites: Arisa Hoshiki and Starlight Kid. I always believed in her to grow and win and she is showing that she's capable of being the star of this company. The greatest masked woman to ever step into a ring."

[10.0] "I'm no Joshi expert in the slightest, but she might already be one of the greats by the time she's done. There's been a lot of wrestlers who have made it their gimmick of "being young and already this good." (Cough, MJF. Austin Theory.) But seriously... I can't think of any wrestler, at just 23 years old, who was able to have a body of work like hers. She's had top tier matches that can honestly put her in BITW conversations, and I've yet to see a bad one. For the 'States fans or casuals, who might think she "lacks charisma, " you're also mistaken. She's got a marketable look that I could see a company like WWE trying to make merchandise of. Starlight Kid is seriously underrated."

[9.0] "easily the wrestler i look forward to the most on all the shows when she finally gets her deserved singles push its going to be special"

[10.0] "Starlight Kid is easily one of my favorite wrestlers in the whole world. Her look and presentation is incredible. I love her personality and character, shes so charismatic. Her in-ring is fantastic as well, her High Speed style is very fun. She is now the leader of the new group Neo Genesis, which Im a total fan of"

[10.0] "One of the most remarkable wrestlers in Stardom, Starlight Kid has demonstrated outstanding versatility in both her character work and in ring, from plucky babyface to complex heel, adding a wider range of offense to her high-flying style. She can adapt to her opponent seamlessly, is an excellent seller and expert in-ring storyteller, with captivating rivalities with her eternal foe AZM and her mentor Mayu Iwatani. Already a standout talent, should reach even further heights in the years to come."

[9.0] "A very good and very entertaining joshi who made me a fan of STARDOM. Despite her small size, she has proven to be tough as nails and has also proven to be extremely quick. Anytime she has a big match, I may not be able to watch (since I live in the USA and no channels have STARDOM) but I still hope that she's gonna walk away with a W. If she ever wrestles in the US full-time, it would be a huge treat for all joshi, women's wrestling, and STARDOM fans."

[10.0] "I started following Stardom because of seeing her at Wrestle Kingdom 16. She's great in the ring and her mannerisms are perfect. Definitely a future Wonder of Stardom champion."

[8.0] "Starlight Kid is an extremely talented professional wrestler. She's one of those masked wrestlers that just so clearly stands above the rest. Her recent match against Giula was brutal and very exciting to see them really dial it up and put on a great match!"

[6.0] "shes alright but i gave her 7 orignally but since i gave that rating i think for me personally she has declined a bit"

[8.0] "Starlight Kid has been a fantastic in-ring performer ever since she stepped foot in Stardom. Her moves, whilst hard hitting, are so impressive. She has proven to not only be an incredible babyface, but to also be an incredibly good heel."

[10.0] "Alright time to start a little small, it seems as if Starlight Kid understands what she's doing. She is accomplished and part of a huge part of STARDOM and Joshi wrestling as a whole. She will be the future of wrestling with some help of course."

[10.0] "Starlight Kid incredibly talented wrestler. She is just 21 years old but in this age she is still one of best woman wrestlers in the world. She is just too good as a evil. She will be the future ace of Stardom with her eternal rival AZM."

[10.0] "Her talent is amazing, she is only 21 years old and promises to be the best wrestler in the world for many years. She is brilliant. She is the new Io Shirai!"

[8.0] "To me, SLK has that "wow" factor. She might not actually be one of the best wrestlers on the Stardom roster, but she's so interesting that I consider her matches must-see. The sky's the limit for her and I'm excited to see her get better."

[10.0] "It's obvious Starlight Kid will be the big star in the future. For her 3 years of in-ring experience she's extremely good. She has got a various moveset and knows how using her skills the right way. Kid is entertaining, charismatic and cute. She's good at everything and she will get better time after time. And one day I will rate her a 10. UPD: After turning heel Starlight became the perfect villain with great personality, and it's amazing how incredible she can be as a charming babyface and as a cheeky heel at the same time. And her ring skill became even better. She's still young and has everything ahead of her. SLK is extremely charismatic and talented. There is no reason not to give her a 10."

"A fantastic, high-speed and technical wrestler. Tremendous character work that translates. She also sells really well for others."

[8.0] "In earlier years I pegged Starlight Kid as a future star with unlimited potential. Since her heel turn she won 2 championships, got a lot of popularity and held a prominent position well above the babyface mascot position she held before. She is not yet ready to be in that main event scene with some trouble adjusting to the main eventers' style of wrestling but in time should shake off any botches and be in contention for the White Belt in a short time."

[9.0] "Definitely one of the very best high flying wrestlers of all time! Starlight Kid knows how to make her aerial moves make sense, not just some flippy dippy beautiful thing, but in fact, it works with physics and gravity. She was one of the reasons I binge watched the last two years of STARDOM, and I can safely say that she's in the Top 3 heels right now, she's doing an amazing job as the pseudo-leader of Oedo Tai. Even though she's already great, I can see her improving a lot and bringing many ***** matches in the future. Hope she captures the Red Belt soon. 9/10"

[9.0] "She's my favorite heel in the whole business at the moment. Her in ring work has always been great but ever since the heel turn she just has that edge of agressiveness that makes her even more badass. She's amazing on the mic, charismatic and all around just COOL. Need to see her hold the White Belt sometime next year."

[9.0] "She is an amazing wrestler with a lot of charisma and a special/own way to entertain fans. And now since she joined Oedo Tai she gained even more charisma making her one of the biggest attraction in joshi today in my opinion. She is the future"

[9.0] "Starlight Kid is awesome. Mastered Babyface psychology, has already mastered Heel psychology, is a top worker in the ring, rivalry with AZM was great, her feud with Mayu Iwatani may go on to become legendary for years to come. Her recent Heel turn has made her one of the coolest overall characters in pro wrestling, men & women combined. I have nothing but good things to say about SLK, and I am excited to see what else she accomplishes in the future. She is off to a great start after turning heel, as she finally captured the High Speed Championship. Many more championships should be coming her way in the future as well."

[9.0] "She's already one of the best in Stardom and I think there's still even more untapped potential for her yet. The recent stable change and everything that comes with it has really elevated her to the next level and it's clear there are big things for her in the future."

[9.0] "She's so young and yet so great already. A bundle of positive energy and really good in the ring. A big star in the making."

[9.0] "I don't think there is another girl in pro wrestling who can sell as good as Starlight Kid. She always takes the heaviest beating and often makes an epic baby-face "comeback" in her matches. She's great a grappler, striker, high-flyer and technician, basically a perfect combination - the ultimate wrestler."

[9.0] "Just like her eternal rival, AZM, Starlight Kid is a supreme in-ring talent who will undeniably be one of Stardom's biggest stars for years to come. She's not just the mascot of Stardom, she's one of its best overall performers."

[8.0] "She is great as a babyface and a great character for the midcard and it's cool to see her rise to upper card level recently. It also show how great she is that she so seemlessly made the transition to higher card positions. Now she just needs to finally win one of the bigger titles after she previously held the Future Belt already and was pretty good as a champion. She is also a very good tag team wrestler and has excelled in pretty much all of her teams with her stable mates, most notably of course as a part of ShiKid and MK Sisters, her two more permanent tag teams. I hope she rises through the ranks of Stardom some more an can soon capture a bigger singles title (White Belt, SWA Belt) or the tag titles alongside Mayu."

[10.0] "Starlight Kid is amazing; maybe my favourite current Stardom roster member. I'll admit I am biased towards her, but if you watch her today I think most people will see she has become really good. In her recent title match with Giulia in February 2021 she was absolutely incredible. She obviously plays the underdog baby-face role extremely well and her matches are usually at least very good. Her move-set is beautiful and makes use of her small size and speed; she also finally did a top-rope Moonsault at Sendai Cinderella (I think this was the first) which looked really good. She is really good at selling as well (which is beneficial to her as she gets beat-up a lot). I love her gimmick/costume and hope she never unmasks. She is pretty charismatic and has a really big voice for such a small woman. She should get more wins though."

[6.0] "She's a tremendous natural babyface, you just cannot but cheer for her even when you are 100% sure she'll get squashed in minutes. A very endearing character and also surprisingly sound in the ring. Over the past year she has improved a lot as a performer and now can be even trusted with promos as she's better and more confident than many others. I don't know how old she is (18? ) but I think like with many other wrestlers she'll start to get seriously pushed once she completes her education and decides whether to become a part-timer or a professional. Best wishes to her in whatever she chooses to do with her life."

[7.0] "I'm not as high on her as most people seem to be, but I cannot deny that her growth has been impressive. She is definitely above average in relation to her level of experience, considering that, more often, inexperienced high flyers can range from dreadful to scary to watch. She reminds me of a young Dragon Kid, and if she can grow out of the last of her somewhat common mistakes like he did, she genuinely may become exceptional."

[7.0] "Considering she's still so young, I feel like we've only seen the tip of the iceberg. She's fun to watch & seems to have a good persona. I do think she needs to drop the mask sooner or later though. I think we're missing a lot of emotion from her without being able to see her face while she's in the ring. In time I hope she progresses to a top Stardom star. For now, she's about a seven for me."

[10.0] "Starlight kid is ridiculously fun to watch and she's also super cute. Really excited to see where she goes. I don't think I've seen a bad match with her in it, even if she has to carry someone."

[8.0] "Arguably the most charismatic member of the Stardom roster; her pre-match promos and interactions with other wrestlers are always entertaining. In-ring wise she has improved leaps and bounds in the last year or so and considering her age I only expect her to get better in the coming months."

[9.0] "With only 18 years and 3 of them of in-ring experience, we are looking at the next Ace of Stardom. She has a varied moveset with some technical and some high-flying moves, she can make her opponent look like a million bucks and can work both comedy-oriented undercard-y matches as well as main event title matches looking believable. Her promos are good and the mask adds a mystery component to the mix. With some more experience we could be talking about the next Io Shirai or Io Shirai 2. 0."
