[9.0] "A very good proformer who can play cowardly babyface and mniacle heel he also can have great matches with just about everyone. He also has one of the best elbow drops I have ever seen. He also plays a great leader like in Sanity or Violent by Design."

[7.0] "Eric Young is the human equivalent of that one wildcard friend in your group--never predictable, always entertaining, and slightly unhinged (in the best way). Whether he's leading the chaos as the mastermind of Sanity or proving he's "World Class Maniac" material, Young brings an energy to wrestling that's equal parts intense and delightfully quirky. His versatility is his calling card. Eric can be a psychotic heel, a lovable underdog, or the guy who shows up with a squirrel on his shoulder, and somehow, it all works."

It didn't matter if it was being serious, being funny, being the blunt of the joke, being cowardly, he could do it all, and do it top notch. And I think that spreads across all fronts - His in ring work, his character work, his promos, etc,"

[8.0] "Eric Young is good and has been capable of working various characters with a level of believability, between goofy angels to his current VBD it is always good to have a veteran like EY in your roster. As for his wrestling work he's nothing special but ain't bad either."

For a guy who had never really did much comedy before he started the Showtime gimmick, he played the scatterbrained yet good natured underdog role very well. He's almost always a hard worker in the ring and manages to be entertaining, no matter if he is a face or a heel, and can play either role very well. It's funny how one second, he can be this jovial, happy-go-lucky wrestler who's just happy to be in the building, and then the next second, he is a psychotic, remorseless heel (like he is now). Not many wrestlers are blessed with that ability and EY is one of the best examples. I always root for him because the passion he has for the sport is admirable and he has captured the heart of TNA fans for years."

[5.0] "Eric is fine, I guess. I liked him best in old TNA as a goofy but sympathetic babyface underdog capable of pulling out some good performances when required but mostly working comedy angles. Having him be heel and then cycling through decent to terrible gimmicks didn't help him one bit but getting the TNA Championship out of it in the end was a pretty good success. Never seen him as anything more than a good tag hand and enhancement talent, through he's quite good at promos."

[5.0] "For me, he is just average. Robotic mic skills, pretty basic ring skills, so or so of charisma with a good gimmick. Nothing much special for me."

[7.0] "Eric Young is a great worker who has had tremendous longevity. I think his size, look and strained voice has put a ceiling of sorts on his success but that this doesn't take away from the fact that he's succeeded in every role he's been given. He's been a comedy wrestler, an inter-gender star, a tag team specialist, the worker for a makeshift NWO reunion, a faction leader, a World Champion, a C-Show enhancement talent and a many time mid-card/tertiary champion too. He's carried matches, angles and teams in the past. As a 40 year old journeyman, I'm not so sure that he should have been too much more prominent in WWE than he was but I do think he could have been used on RAW more regularly as a psycho heel either for an angle, a tag team/faction or a Champion's weekly open challenge during this talent barren empty arena era. His NXT Tag Team title run offers some validation of his time in WWE. I don't necessarily think that Young's return to Impact is a game changer for them but I have no doubt that he can do whatever they him to do and a second World Championship isn't out of the realm of possibilities."

[8.0] "Great charisma, great wrestling ability, great guy to make everyone look that much better. EY is one of the most reliable workers you can find, and IMPACT will bring that out of him in 2020 and so on."

[6.0] "I remember some older TNA matches with him being very good but everything I've seen in the last 5 years has been very average."

[6.0] "Ran through so many incarnations of characters while in TNA. Some were not bad... others (looking at you, Super Eric) were terrible. As a veteran & moving to WWE, he seemed like he was a really good fit to work as a team player in helping others find success. He started doing that with Sanity & that act had a really great showing at War Games. But once they left NXT, they suffered the same fate that so many do where Vince simply showed no interest & they just started to rot. Now they have killed Sanity (without doing it through a television angle, mind you) and Eric is nowhere to be seen. A shame they won't use him in some capacity, as he's good in the ring & has potential to make others."

[8.0] "Eric Young is a ring veteran that can perform well in the ring and also has the ability to play a multitude of characters well. You just have to have respect for Eric Young. Great talent."

[8.0] "Young is possibly the most underutilized wrestler on the current roster. He's a great leader of Sanity, but I think he'd thrive on his own."

I loved him in TNA over the years, but his role in NXT right now leading the Sanity stable could lead to his best work yet."

He's fantastic at appearing truly unhinged, his intense promos and threats really resonate. He's great in the ring too, plenty of good offense and his bumping and selling is just spectacular. Hope there is another world title run in his future, he has earned!"

[10.0] "Despite appearing to be very small, he has more than earned his spot as a heavyweight title contender. Great on the mic, versatile in the ring, even better as a crazed heel than a sympathetic babyface."

I never once thought of Eric young as main event quality but with his new style of no bullsh*t he has made the transition like water. from being a good part of impact to someone who I can't wait to see Eric young is truly main event, especially since tna has made his piledriver a legit finisher the way it should be"

[8.0] "Has actually improved a lot in recent years. I don't really get the hate. His new heel persona is actually pretty good and a breath of fresh air. He really needed a character overhaul, and this is probably his best character to date."

[10.0] "EY spent many years as a comedy wrestler, and is one of the best in the biz in that role. But he finally got a shot at the top of the TNA card with his World Title win last year and did a great job as the lovable babyface going to the next level. Now that his title run is over, we're now getting to see him in a new light as an unhinged heel, and is knocking it out of the park in that role as well, with a very good feud with Bobby Roode. He's a versatile performer who puts his all into whatever role he's given, and in the ring has an excellent skill set in terms of both offense and selling, including for my money the best flying elbow in wrestling today. Wonderful talent."

[8.0] "Eric Young is perhaps the most under-rated wrestler today. Most used to see him as a comedy wrestler but he is a very great wrestler when he is given the opportunity he can deliver a 5 star quality match. He is someone who became on e the big players in TNA."

[8.0] "I've always thought EY was TNA's Santino. He has great in ring skills and mic skills as weel. He's a charismatic worker and was a good World Champion."

[10.0] "The most underrated wrestler ever. He was a World Heavyweight Contender way before the crappy comical gimmicks. Don't get me wrong, he's good with the comedy, but he has incredible talent. Glad TNA made him World Heavyweight Champion for a while, and hopefully he gets another title reign."

[8.0] "While I am happy that Eric Young won the TNA World Title, there are two things I find wrong with it. One, His title win was a second-hand Daniel Bryan story. Two, this feels as if Young won the title so that he could lose it soon to another heel wrestler, that way Magnus and this other wrestler would booth stay heel. My guess is Bobby Roode. Other than that, congrats to Eric Young for winning the title, and although I feel it will be a short reign, the world champ status definitely boosts Young's image."

[9.0] "I love EY, he's a good wrestler, has a powerfull finisher, he os a entretainer and people loves him, i think it's one of the best "new" champions in the history of the TNA World Heavyweight Championship, hope to see him as a champion long time."

[10.0] "Eric Young is one of TNA's best wrestlers. He is skilled as a technical wrestler and a high flyer, while having more charisma than a good part of the roster. the fact that he has been able to take the corniest, and worst comedy gimmicks, and makes them work so well, shows how charismatic, and devoted to TNA he is. I really wish he would get a chance for a heavyweight title. He deserves it for how devoted he is to the company."

[9.0] "I feel Eric Young is one of the most underrated wrestlers in the wrestling world today not just in TNA but by a lot of wrestling fans as well just because throughout his TNA career, he has mostly had a comedic persona or gimmick especially the persona he currently has now and has had for 3 years which I'll admit I was against Eric's current comedy persona at first cause he came off the World Elite stable and then afterwards he feuded and teamed with Kevin Nash and Scott Hall and he was kind of an up-and-coming star back then, but now I've actually grown to like it more to be honest. He definitely pulls that comedy persona off because he without a doubt can get people including myself to laugh at his antics and though his character may be comedic, at least is TNA is letting Eric Young be the tremendous in-ring performer that he is too so that's one hell of a plus and I think that makes him more and more likable too which is great!"
