[5.0] "Perhaps he should have just stuck to his music career. I like him, but it's very clear that despite being a professional wrestling fanatic, booking a professional wrestling promotion isn't his strong suit, especially given his experience in TNA during 2016 (let's not forget about him having back-and-forth fighting with Dixie Carter over ownership of the company)."

[2.0] "It pains me to give this rating, since I'm a very big fan of The Smashing Pumpkins... But this is William Patrick Corgan the promoter, not Billy Corgan the musician, and the man sucks as a booker. While he may not be the worst, there is a clear vision he wants to go for when he tries to book NWA... But it just doesn't click, he is unable to book a wrestling show, let alone be a promoter. It's weird how NWA has pretty much went down the same route that TNA has gone. Once good promotions (while I may not be the biggest TNA fan, they were at least good during the mid to late 2000s) that fell off, try really hard to pick up momentum, but bad decisions left and right keep happening and ruined any chance of being a credible company again and just become the butt of wrestling jokes. Oh, and this man booked Tyrus to be the NWA Champion, 'nuff said!"

They were ok in 2021 but then he made Tyrus champion to the delight of no one instead of Matt Cardona when he returned from injury. It wasn't even a token "thanks for signing" brief reign. It was a looooong reign with not one good match to show for it. The 2 points is for that lightning in a bottle time in 2019 when Power was arguably the second best weekly show behind the then new Dynamite."

[2.0] "Way to alienate the remaining fan base for a 3/4th century old promotion in 1/75th of the time. Tyrus was never good, and he certainly was worse at the end of his career, both in that fact his ability has only degenerated, as well as the fact his public perception/reputation is considerably down the shitter. Putting that guy at the top, and defending it despite obviously being the dumbest idea you could do is beyond insane. Not to mention a bunch of other idiotic booking decisions that have only costed NWA more and more as time as went on, like Samhain. I appreciate old school, and a lot of what NWA and Billy Corgan has tried to do, and I can tell that he does have a passion for wrestling. But dude, stick to your music and your weird ass beliefs, don't book NWA to the grave *again.*"

Funny how he had a bad falling out with Dixie Carter when he is, in fact, exactly like her. You look at NWA programming and you see him act like the hundreds of rich marks who bought a promotion only to play promoter and put themselves on television. He has no vision, no grasp with what's current and doesn't seem to have any self-awareness."

[2.0] "I appreciate Billy Corgan has a nostalgic certain style of wrestling that he prefers, and that he wants to bring something to the table that isn't really on the entertainment-to-workrate spectrum the rest of North American wrestling operates on, but he really doesn't have the necessary vision to do it justice, so it just feels like a poor tribute act more than anything. And as a booker? Well, he gave Tyrus a lengthy world title run, so that really tells you everything. He deserves credit for having a philosophy, but not so much as to fool you into thinking the execution is any good."

[5.0] "Everyone hates this man for making Tyrus world champion and trust me that was a stupid decision and the fact that he defends it constantly is arrogant , But he seems like that a lot when talking about the NWA, when he says stuff like "if you don't like the NWA" you don't like Professional wrestling, it is a very stupid statement, his booking choices overall are very poor like all of his champions being long reigns and fairly forgettable as they never really make any major impact, he brings in forgettable awful midcard guys and let's huge stars leave. Main reason he gets a 5 is because he is the reason the NWA is even still running and is clearly passionate about the industry and speaks well about it in interviews."

"It's hard to rate William Corgan as a promoter because the NWA's books aren't open. He claims that they're financially viable, which at least means they're not losing more money than he's prepared to put into the company. Some of his promotional tactics are controversial but it's clear that he is trying to go out and get a new audience (or at least a lapsed audience) to expand wrestling, rather than competing for the fans still watching. As a booker, he has some definite strengths and definite weaknesses. His "something for everyone" philosophy means that the NWA showcases some unusual talents who wouldn't get much spotlight elsewhere. That's great. Unfortunately, it also means that these shows have "something that annoys everyone", too. Based on the change in booking after Dave Lagana's departure, I get the feeling that Corgan books in big pictures and outlines and relied on Lagana to translate that to the screen. Without that kind of details guy, his NWA stories often sound OK to good in a summary form, but the final product can leave a lot to be desired."

[2.0] "I stopped watching TNA way before Corgan was in charge, so I'm rating him purely on what I've seen, which is modern NWA. Thanks to AEW, ROH, and NJPW, those three programs got me back into Pro Wrestling. After that, I was exposed to NWA because it was on YouTube, and I enjoyed the wrestling. Seriously, I did. It was really decent wrestling, and always kept me entertained. It wasn't until Corgan decided to make Tyrus a main event wrestler, that I stopped being a fan. That being said, Corgan is a terrible booker. Having Tyrus being your main guy? Complete nonsense. Wanting your main base to be Fox News right wing idiots is unbelievably stupid. He was definitely better back in the day, but right now? Corgan is an awful booker. Much respect to Smashing Pumpkins, and also I respect him for being such a big fan of Pro Wrestling. Rating him as a booker, end of."

Back in 2016 people hated so much Dixie Carter that wanted basically anybody to take over the company (even Jeff Jarrett in his worst state (the global force era)). I have already given NWA a 2 so you know how much I feel about that company"

[0.0] "Awful man and an awful booker, his TNA run was very short amd not very good, I only liked the Grand title. Also his NWA is terrible, it was alright at first, I never got a PPV, but I watched Powerrr as it was free and short enough. However after covid it went down hill and got so much worse, they lost their partnerships, and most of their good talent, and replaced it with shit like Tyrus. A crap promoter, who really only has a good women's division, which he treats terribly, he deserves much worse ratings"

[6.0] "I can't help but feel his reputation is very circumstantial at this point. To be sure, he did some good things with TNA, like give Matt Hardy the freedom to book his own character, but he also introduced some very lame concepts, like the Grand Championship. I also have to look at his many years booking Resistance Pro and the news, or complete lack thereof, to come out of that promotion, which failed to garner any attention whatsoever. It must also be said, as an on screen character he left a lot to be desired. Very awkward as a public speaker and would often take up far too much air time, and completely failed to characterize himself as a face or a heel, often making decisions seemingly at random to help one side or the other without explaining himself well. I will give him a six since he was clearly liked by those backstage and OBVIOUSLY was a far better creative force than Anthem and Jarrett, but I think his drawbacks have to be recognized as well."

I have a ton of respect for that. TNA fans love him too, since he has already made the company significantly better since he got there. I really hope he buys TNA and makes it live up to its full potential."
