[9.0] "Probably one of the strangest decisions to let someone go from Dragon Gate was Ishida. He'd grown greatly since his heel turn and joining RED. He was showing ring skill, charisma and while not the finished product, he got better with each appearance and had a great covid era feud with Okuda over the Brave Gate. I strongly expected him to leave RED and to become the next challenger for the Dream Gate. The spot went to Yoshioka out of nowhere and I guess sealed his fate. His work in GLEAT is showing great promise and hopefully he can either excel there, move to NJPW or eventually return to Dragon Gate for the run he was expected to get. He's not just a KICK BOY anymore."

[9.0] "He was a true standout in his years in Dragongate, but Ishida is one of the few examples I can think of where DG seriously dropped the ball by not pushing him into the main event. I almost wonder if it was some kind of vicarious punishment to push him down the card, since he was close with the ones who left for OWE. Fortunately, GLEAT seems to know what they have, and are putting him straight into the title feud. He seems better off where he can really shine, and where his friends are."

Amazing legwork, strong character and undoubtedly has a great future ahead of him. EDIT: the Dream Gate match vs. Skywalker @Champion Gate 2021 cemented Ishida's position as one of the top guys in Dragon Gate."

[7.0] "While DG has a lot of great young talents, Ishida is one who you can easily see being a top guy in the company within the next 2-5 years. His kicks are absolutely fantastic, making great use of his kickboxing background, and he also carries himself like a genuine fighter, which is the most important factor that makes me so confident that he can be a top star. Maybe he won't be a multiple-time Dream Gate champion or anything crazy like that, but he WOULD be if I was booking things, and he should at the very least be part of Dragon Gate's next "Big 6" iteration (or Big 4, or 5, or whatever the exact number ends up being). As a heel, he now puts his warrior's 'edge' toward being a cocky prick, and he works extremely well, coming off as very hateable not "in spite of" his impressive offence, but "especially because of" it, since his offence shows that he clearly has the skills to win matches cleanly, which is what he was doing prior to his heel turn, which makes it all the more tragic that he *chose* to turn heel instead of doing it out of necessity, which would at least make him a bit more sympathetic. Here, we have a wrestler who truly doesn't need to cheat, but retreats towards doing so whenever he gets panicked, reflecting perhaps some doubt in his abilities, despite us fans clearly seeing that he shouldn't have such doubt because his offence really is enough to get the job done. I can't wait for the day that badass babyface Ishida is back, since I really want to be able to cheer for him instead of getting worked by him cheating to unfairly beat my other favourite DG wrestlers. Regardless, I can still really appreciate Ishida's efforts as a heel, and his offence hasn't lost much of a step, even while he's had to add more heel shenanigans to his arsenal."

[7.0] "He`s just a kick boy. A very promising, good looking, obviously talented kick boy. In my opinion he has a little lack of charisma, but now he is in R. E. D, so he probably will progress a lot. I absolutely sure, he will lead DG one day. I don`t think, he could possibly surpess Mochizuki level of kicking, but he is still really-really great. Future top star."
