I don't know how old he is but I'm certain it's old enough to not be cursing like you were left home alone for the first time at 13 years old and drinking Mountain Dew all night. He takes so much away from the matches he's calling and offers no insight, doesn't call the moves or if he does he's usually wrong. He was the sole reason I stopped watching GCW until they were put on FITE and got some decent commentary. I don't think of myself as a prude but when commentary is swearing every other word it gets pretty old. |

Yes, worse than Mike Adamle, because at least Adamle has the excuse of not coming from a pro-wrestling background. Constantly trying to get himself over instead of the talent, except for when he does *try* to put over the talent and comes off as so overbearing and cringeworthy that it almost has the opposite effect. It does nothing to help the wrestlers in ring like say, Effy as an example, if KG's putting him over like a technical stalwart and a once-in-a-generation talent, when we as fans know Effy is a fun, goofy, mostly comedy act whose technical prowess isn't his strong point. Speaking of Effy, as a gay man myself, nothing makes my stomach turn more than KG screaming about how much of an ally he is to the LGBTQ+ community and how magical being yourself is during a FUCKING WRESTLING MATCH. Alongside various technical issues, Kevin Gill's commentary is the main reason I stopped regularly watching GCW shows, and GCW recently having matches and entire shows without him but instead with actual good commentators like Dave Prazak and Veda Scott has made me enjoy their shows 10x more. |

He is totally doing his thing and yes, it is not for everyone but "worst commentator ever"' To me the worst is that geeky nerd Matt Striker who pays no attention to a match and rather tells story of "way back when...". KG is real good at improvising, plays along very good with Dave Prazak and Emil Jay on commentary and totally completes the GCW product in a positive way for me. Only his "[Matt Cordona] is collection dolls" over and over and over again when Cordona had his first three matches for GCW annoyed me quiet a bit. |
