[8.0] "If you ask me, Slick was a very good manager! He was always fun to watch and he gave something one of a kind to wrestling that I miss. Also, his entrance music was so good! I had it as my ring tone on my phone! Seems like nobody talks about him anymore? He was no Bobby Heenan but he offered something else."

[8.0] "Very fun character, underrated color commentator. I'm a total mark for "Jive Soul Bro". While being taller than Butch Reed was awkward, their pairing came off like a tag team during their promo time (good stuff! ).The character Akeem takes on new meaning when you understand it's Slick if he could wrestle. I did NOT like the Kamala stuff. Was totally ill fitting with Rick Martel, didn't work for Power & Glory because he was taller than both. Meanwhile, Slick worked well with The Warlord, when he shouldn't have. There is some bad but overall this guy is better than most remember and as a bonus, legitimately good fashion sense. one more time: underrated color commentator."

[7.0] "Slick was a fun manager. He isn't as iconic as Hennan or Fuji and his clients did not have near the same level of success as either of those 2. He also had the impossible task of how to get over Akeem the African Dream gimmick. He had a ton of charisma and was great on the mic too."

Slick had charisma but of all the heel managers back then, he never got any titles in his stable. Probably put him above Frenchy Martin who was just a lame manager for Dino Bravo. Slick still has his moments."

[10.0] "In my opinion, Slick is one of the most underrated and barely talked about managers in history today and it's such a shame because in the late '80s and the early '90s, not only was he a great heel as far as harming Elizabeth every time they came across each other, but he was literally one of the most popular managers back in that era, and he really was a great manager because like every other manager at that time, even if one or some of his guys that he managed didn't have the best mic skills, he thankfully had the gift of gab and put over his talent so well and he made you believe that his guys were forces to be reckoned with! Plus, Slick truly did live up to his moniker, him being the "Doctor Of Style", cause this guy just oozed a whole lot of charisma and personality whenever he would get on the mic and talk! What more could you ask for in a great manager? !"
