[7.0] "Def the better worker of the Acclaimed, I've never seen a match Bowens has been in where he doesn't appear to be trying very hard, & generally speaking, I feel like he has the capability to pump out a powerful & meaningful singles run in AEW; & I absolutely hope he does sometime soon. His physique is super spot-on & chiseled & he moves around the ring with power & purpose. Is always good for a match where he's working from underneath or a situation where he's going tit for tat with someone similarly sized to him. Really the best of both worlds in that he has the capability for comedy magic while simultaneously carrying a fantastic propensity for solid in-ring magic, too. I really can't say enough good things about Anthony Bowens!"
[6.0] "I haven't loved him as a singles guy and I think he needs a little something extra, but his tag run with the Acclaimed was great and I think he can be very funny. The recent bits with Caster have been super fun."
[6.0] "Complicaded case. Bowens was clearly the soul of Acclaimed's ring skill talent, however, he is not interesting to follow at all. His single run didn't had much faith from Tony Khan and it might be the reason why he is working once again with Max Caster. They're better together than separated."
[8.0] "Anthony Bowen continues to impress me. He has a great look, is confident and motivated on the mic, and can really go in the ring. He has some really cool and innovative moves that make him stand out when he wrestles. I know it looks like he'll be tagging with Caster again (which I'm not against) but I do feel like that white meat baby face run could still easily happen with some work."
"Anthony Bowens is hands down the most underrated guy in AEW, and honestly I don't get how more people aren't screaming about it. Yeah, The Acclaimed are insanely over, but Bowens is the glue that holds it all together. In the ring he's crisp, explosive, and tells a story better than most of the roster -- just look at the matches with Swerve in Our Glory where he fought through an injury and still had the crowd living and dying with every move. But where he really shines is social media. Bowens doesn't just post match graphics or boring promos; he actually puts his personality out there. He's hilarious, he's authentic, he's posting TikToks, memes, goofy clips with Max Caster, and celebrating his relationship and his pride without ever feeling forced. That's why fans love him -- he's relatable, he's real. His "I'm gay! " Rampage moment blew up online because it wasn't just a wrestling angle, it was Anthony Bowens being Anthony Bowens, and the world connected with it. He's got the look, the workrate, and the charisma to be a singles star, and AEW needs to wake up and realize they've got a superstar hiding in plain sight."
[6.0] "I like Bowens, but I really just don't think he has the, well, tools to be a big main event player. Frankly, I've always thought he was better as tag act with The Acclaimed, but I do get why they split them up. It was worth a try."
[7.0] "He's a good wrestler with decent promo skills and he has a great physique. Unfortunately he doesn't really stand out much, and his pairing with Billy Gunn seems kind of random. His moveset and matches are solid but I'm not entirely sure if he'll ever be main event material."
[6.0] "The Acclaimed were a great act together and a textbook example of the whole being greater than the sum of its parts. I think now that they've split Bowens has become a little exposed as a singles wrestler. Don't get me wrong, he's not *bad*, just not especially *great* either. If Bowens can work on his promos so that he's not SCREAMING AT THE TOP OF HIS LUNGS FOR THE ENTIRE DURATION OF HIS PROMO, tighten up his in-ring work a little bit, and do something with his painfully generic current "Five-tool player" gimmick, he could definitely be a big deal in the near future. Will that happen? Too soon to tell. I'm looking forward to coming back to this rating in six months to a year once he's had a proper storyline or two under his belt with his current singles push."
[8.0] "Anthony Bowens is criminally underrated and often doesnt get the recognition he deserves for his in-ring abilities. Every time he gets the chance to showcase his skills, he proves he's an absolute standout performer. His charisma is undeniable, and he has a fantastic look that immediately draws attention. Bowens has immense potential, and it's surprising that more people havent noticed how talented he is, especially given his tag team work. Initially, he was only meant to be in a tag team for a short period, but he quickly showed how much he could offer, proving he's more than capable of being a major star in his own right."
[7.0] "Bowens has shown me a lot of upside to believe in the future. I've really appreciated his selling and his can-do attitude. He's the Michaels of the Acclaimed by a longshot."
[6.0] "Bowens is a solid wrestler and showed a lot of times that he can easily have a solo run, because he has the abilities, and is in my opinion by far the most charismatic and talented guy in The Acclaimed, I really enjoy his work. The fact he is openly gay is also incredible and encouraging, it's very important to have a guy like him out there, I believe he inspires a lot of people, and mainly, is a very reliable and capable worker."
[5.0] "A good solid wrestler who's started to understand how to work a lot better in the last couple of years. He works well as the babyface in peril and has good charisma to go with it. Certainly a lot of upside here, especially if he continues to develop his promo game."
[7.0] "The Vigilante has found his place as a great tag team specialist, where he can bring his brand of energy and charisma, as well as play the babyface in peril spot. Whether as a worker or character, his association with Max Caster is perfect, as they complement each other rather well and hide each other's weaknesses. He doesn't have the most polished skills in the ring, but can do everything he needs to do in tag action to get the fans behind him, or the fans to hate him as a heel."
[7.0] "Incredibly charismatic wrestler who can work in the ring. He definitely is a good tag specialist with Caster. Can give a good match solo. Makes his money on the mic and everybody loves the Acclaimed."
[5.0] "I never really understood this popularity of Anthony Bowens and The Acclaimed, it's entertaining, but in the ring, I don't find them at the level of the best teams."
[7.0] "He's had a rise that can only be described as "meteoric". He was always the more talented member of the Acclaimed, and he seems to be the guy who's poised for singles stardom. As it stands, he has a fun gimmick and busts out very good matches."
[8.0] "Not many people, if anyone, is more over than the acclaimed at the moment. Their segments are enjoyable for sure but I quickly lose interest in their matches to be honest. Bowens is the better wrestler for sure though. He has some nice moves and is more charismatic than his tag partner as well."
[6.0] "A moderately good worker and an EXTREMELY charismatic talker and character. He's capable of playing both an obnoxiously arrogant heel or a very sympathetic and hype babyface, which is quite an impressive range that few people can effectively pull off. His work in The Acclaimed is very good, even reaching greatness territory ever since they started getting a serious push. As a singles worker he's probably still charismatic enough to work, but he's undoubtedly far better when partnered when Caster. Who knows, though. Maybe he turns on Caster, gets mega heat from that because of how beloved The Acclaimed are/were, and then begins to show off how great of a singles heel he can be."
[8.0] "I think he's actually a much better wrestler than his tag partner Max Caster. His injuries kind of derailed his and The Acclaimed momentum, but I do feel he has just as much charisma as his tag partner has in his kind of ok rapping promos. If he can stay healthy the workhorse of the Acclaimed will bring them much success and I see him as the actual breakout singles star of the team eventually."
[9.0] "I view Bowens as the most underrated worker in AEW. He has it all, the look, the mic skills, the in ring skills, he is an amazing wrestler. The Acclaimed are one of the most over acts in wrestling, and Bowens is the in ring specialist while Caster is the charisma guy. I love Bowens, he is a great worker."
[8.0] "Probably the most entertaining thing on AEW right now along with Caster. Love their alliance with the Gunn's, incredibly entertaining. Only problem is how injury prone he is."
[6.0] "I honestly think that, when it comes to charisma, Bowens depends on his partner's rap skills, because he's funny and all with his facial expressions, but not that could catch everyone's attention. But, when it comes to actual in-ring performance, well I believe that Bowens is pretty decent."
[3.0] "Bleh, nothing much to see here. Has a look, that's literally all I will give him. Caster is pretty annoying himself, but at least he has some mic skills and can actually make it as a singles star. Bowens on the other hand just kinda sucks in every facet of his wrestling ability, sorry not sorry."
