"Best known as "Mr. Baseball" (he was more knowledgable about the game than he was successful playing it) and the voice of the Milwaukee Brewers, Bob was an integral part of WrestleMania's 3 & 4. He was the ring announcer for the world heavyweight championship match between Hogan and Andre at WrestleMania 3. Then he came back for WrestleMania 4 to do the storyline thread throughout the show where he was looking for Vanna White, get choked by Andre The Giant in a backstage interview, and to do the color commentary for Bad News Brown's win of the battle royal that opened the show. He also inducted in to the Celebrity wing of the WWE Hall of Fame in 2010. He also had an in with Dick Ebersol who was the president of NBC and the key person behind Saturday Night's Main Event. My favorite thing about Bob though, besides him already being a larger than life personality from his baseball days, was he was never afraid to make fun of himself first."
