[3.0] "Stevie Ray was the clear lesser half of the Harlem Heat tag team. His ring skills were atrocious, and his mic work and charisma were also inferior to that of his brother Booker T. The main thing that stood out about him was his look, but outside of that he was your typical wrestling big man with a very basic moveset."
[3.0] "Ray is a WWE Hall of Famer and part of one the greatest tag teams of all time. But, with that said, he is still not that respected for someone with this resume, and it's easy to see why. It is often said that Ray dragged down Booker T, not being able to keep up with his brother and often being clumsy in how he performed. As a solo competitor, he was not much better. But, he did give me a lot of funny memories as a wrestler and commentator, albeit most being unintentional. For that, I will never really dislike Stevie Ray."
[4.0] "Worked fine with his Brother Booker T as part of Harlem Heat, possibly the best tag team of WCW in the mid 90's. But once they split up and he started going singles and even joined the nWo and later became leader of the B team? He needed Booker to carry him because he wasn't made for carrying matches."
[3.0] "The insomniacs favourite wrestler. Credit where credit is due, Harlem Heat looked cool as hell even if there was only a small period when they were any good and that was thanks to Booker T"
[6.0] "Good tag team wrestler when in Harlem Heat. He had good charisma and worked well with a partner who could cover a few of his flaws. His matches singles were not that great, but he was not the worse wrestler in WCW at the time either."
[3.0] "Stevie Ray was a pretty bad worker. He had great size and would have been a giant in today's world but he had no charisma and couldn't work a match. He was passable for a time as the power guy in tag wrestling and had a decent diss promo in him now and again but that's about as much as you'd get out of him."
[7.0] "Big Stevie was always a good promo/ trash talker. I loved him as a commentator in the dying days of WCW for that reason. A great tag team wrestler as a part of Harlem Heat. He was all business when he got in the ring. However, I think him being more serious is what hurt him too , and why he never broke out any further than being a tag team guy."

[7.0] "I was certainly team WWE over team WCW, but during the mid 90s, Harlem Heat was my favorite team in the biz. Intense & intimidating -- they were to the 90s what the Road Warriors were to the 80s. Stevie didn't have the longevity that Booker had, but he was a solid team member & helped Booker find his footing."
[4.0] "Stevie Ray had his greatest success alongside his brother Booker T as half of Harlem Heat, a truly awesome tag team that claimed a whopping 10 reigns as WCW World Tag Team Champions. In that team Stevie provided the power base while Booker handled the more flashy offense. After that team split, Booker rocketed to stardom while Stevie had a bit more of a tough go of it; his ring style worked in a tag setting but didn't translate well to singles action. An attempt to "reboot" Harlem Heat with Big T (the former Ahmed Johnson) to feud with Booker failed, and he struggled to catch on as a single, ultimately landing a role as a second-stringer with the by-this-point overinflated NWO. He spent the last part of his WCW career as a color commentator on Thunder; once the company folded he toured Europe and Australia for a bit before hanging it up in 2002."
[2.0] "Stevie Ray was lucky to be the brother of Booker T, because without that connection, he never would have stayed in WCW. Ray was dire in the ring, and he was awful, absolutely awful on commentary."
[7.0] "I fondly remember him mostly for being a member of Harlem Heat with his brother, Booker T. Even during that era he never had the charisma or entertainment value of his brother."

Zeigte ein paar sehr schöne aktionen, und auch Power Moves hatte er, jedoch war er der uncharismatischere von Harlem heat und auch die Ausstrahlung hatte wohl eher Booker abbekommen. Für einen erfolgreichen Singlesrun hat's niemals gereicht, und er landete im nwo B-Team und an der Seite von Ahmed Johnson (Big T), was ziemlicher Müll war. Steht in jeglicher Hinsicht hinter seinem Bruder, dennoch eine Tag Team Legende, er hielt den WCW Tag Team Gürtel ganze 10 mal. Rekord für die Ewigkeit."
[3.0] "Als Teil von Harlem Heat wirklich gut-das Duo war schon klasse. Aber was danach kam war wirklich schlimm, weil er ohne seinen Bruder wirklich verloren im Ring wirkte. NWO B-Team war ja unwichtig wie sonstwas und Harlem Heat 2000 mit Big T katastrophal. Micwork war eig immer im sauberen Bereich auch wenn da jetzt nicht wirklich relevante Promos dabei waren. Alles in allem zu wenig von eben allem um gut benotet zu werden. ZU eintönig, unflexibel und auch nicht mit viel Talent gesegnet bleibt bei Stevie Ray vor allem eins im Gedächtnis : Langeweile."
[7.0] "Definitely the power of Harlem Heat. Not quite as athletic as his brother (nor was he as successful as a singles competitor) but the two of them were one of the best tag teams in WCW history and all of wrestling history."

Und dann sein Singles Run und Versuch mit Harlem Heat 2000 haben Grauen und Schrecken verbreitet. Grundkenntnisse vorhanden und ich hoffe bemüht, aber ehrlich gesagt deutlich bescheiden in seinem Wirken."
[3.0] "An der Seite seines Bruders Booker T war er überzeugend, doch als Einzelwrestler unbedeutend und langweilig. War an der Seite von Ahmed Johnson zum Ende der WCW in Harlem Heat 2000 ein Grund den Fernseher abzuschalten."
[5.0] "Die Punkte erhält Stevie Ray auch nur für seine Harlem Heat Zeit mit Booker, denn alleine war er sehr langweilig und eher unbegabt. Doch im Team konnte er überzeugen, da er über seine Schwächen hinweg täuschen konnte. Achja, ein Teil der nWo Version 100 oder so ähnlich, also dementsprechend unbedeutend."

[2.0] "Da man dank der Tag Team Datenbank das Team Harlem Heat seperat bewerten kann, bleibt für mich nicht viel Gutes an Stevie Ray. Er war zwar ein anständiger Tag Team Wrestler und seine Schwächen sind mir damals nie so aufgefallen, aber seine Auftritte nach Harlem Heat waren für mich alle eine absolute Tortur. Seine Matches konnte ich schon damals in meiner markigen Jugend nicht mehr ausstehen und das will was heissen. Wenn ich mir heute nochmal was von ihm anschaue, reicht das höchstens noch zu Gnadenpunkten für seine Tag Team Fähigkeiten."
[5.0] "Hat mir mit Booker T zusammen als Halrem Heat sehr gut gefallen. Alleine war er dann doch schlechter als sein Bruder, weswegen er für mich leider nur Mittelmaß ist."
[4.0] "Mit Harlem Heat Teil eines legendären Tag Teams, wobei er dort neben Booker T natürlich stets der schlechtere Teil war. Profitierte so zunächst von seinem Bruder, ging aber spätestens ab der Jahrtausendwende dann auch völlig in dessen Schatten unter."

Potential wäre da gewesen, um ihn in der WCW in eine Fehde mit seinem Bruder zu stecken, denn als Bösewicht hätte er durchaus getaugt, an die Popularitätswerte seines Bruders wäre er hingegen nicht mehr rangekommen."
