[8.0] "Not just a WCW jobber. Arguably the best member of Los Villanos, one of the most important families in lucha libre history. His rating on here is sickening. A part of some legendary matches and feuds. Someone who should be studied by people wanting to become pro wrestlers."

[10.0] "A member of one of the most important wrestling families in Mexico: "La Familia Imperial", AKA one of the greatest stables in lucha libre history, Los Villanos. Villano V certainly wasn't on the same technical level their brothers Villano III and Villano IV were, BUT that doesn't mean that he wasn't a great connoisseur of the mat. He understood timing, pace and how to keep the crowd's attention. Also an excellent brawler, who developed a charismatic character that embodied the representation of everything a rudo should be in lucha libre, while being capable of performing very good promos (which is usually missed by many people, because of the language barriers here). His Mask vs Mask match with Blue Panther in 2008 is one of the greatest lucha libre Apuestas matches in history. Another jobber from the WCW cruiserweight division, as many other incredible lucha libre talents that were treated like clowns when they actually were excellent talents."

[9.0] "I came into this page after learning of the untimely passing of Ray Mendoza Jr. looking to see some of his old bouts that I had not just yet watched so I could go ahead and do so. That plan was paused right on its tracks when I looked at the rating of the man known as Villano V, an absolute travesty sitting at not even a 6. Quite frankly impossible to understand as a wrestling fan, how a worker with so many good matches and such importance to the business could be ranked so low. Villano V was never as good as his brother Villano III but he is still extremely talented in comparison to most other wrestlers just like all his other brothers were. He was part of that famous Villanos vs Brazos match, 6 masks on the line between two families in Monterrey a match that if I am not be mistaken can be watched in rather poor quality on YouTube. Also wrestled against Blue Panther in an apuesta on the 75th Anniversary of CMLL, a match that I cannot reccomend enough to any fan of this sport, an absolute masterclass between two masters of the sport. Just like his brother before him, Mendoza Jr. went out and had one of the best apuestas of all time. Incredible worker, in one of the most improtant stables in all of wrestling that changed the game forever. R.I.P."

[4.0] "Another WCW cruiserweight jobber. Just another body in the division to put over guys like Mysterio and Malenko. Occasionally got a win in the 6 or 8 man tags but that's it pretty much."
