[3.0] "I don't get it. This dude was so freakin' awkward. He somehow managed to be both always monotone and always inconsistent. He never introduced the same wrestler the same way, sometimes omitting random words, i.e. "First, from Such and Such Place, weighing 200 pounds" and then the next guy: "His opponent, Some Other Place (no "from"? ), 200 pounds (no "weighing"? ). Like, why do that? I've never seen any other ring announcer do anything like that. Does he just forget? I'm not asking him to do the same Mad Libs sheet every night but for fuck's sake, at least say "from" every time you're saying where a dude is from. And regarding being monotonous, "monotone" literally means only having one tone. So while he generally sounds enthusiastic, he never changes his pitch, his inflections, his cadence, the best you'll get is he'll drag out the last syllable of someone's name. Could be a TV squash match or the main event of Starrcade, doesn't matter. Same boring inconsistent nothingness. It's so irritating and aggressively banal. I know these are seemingly minor things to bitch about but it's like death of a thousand cuts with this dude. It's ceaseless. I get that there's a certain nostalgia value with this dude but this just ain't it chief."

[10.0] "Loved this guy; nerdy lil thing with a fairly high pitched voice who undoubtedly LOVED wrestling based upon his enthusiasm and approach. Excellent addition to the Jim Herd era of WCW and I was extra bummed when he left and was replaced by David "Sometimes you can't even hear me" Penzer. I can't picture The Great Muta in my head without first being introduced by GMC, the way he would say "The Pearl of the Orient, The Greeeaaat Muuutaaa" was a way of enhancing the talent without ever taking a bump. Top tier."

[6.0] "WCW's equivalent of The Fink. At least up until he was eventually replaced by David Penzer, who Cappetta taught."

[10.0] "The ring announcing voice of wrestling in the dying days of the territory years and the early of years of the expansion era. He worked for Vince Sr in WWWF, Vince Jr. in WWF, Verne in the AWA, Jim Crockett in the NWA /JCP days, and then for turner at WCW. JIm Ross and Jim Cornette always called him "The World's Most Dangerous Ring Announcer". Anyway, distinctive voice, distinctive delivery with all of his introductions/winning announcements, and would go on a mount rushmore of ring announcers if one were ever a thing."
