[7.0] "A really fun character in WWE, one of the greatest commentators in NJPW, and a surprisingly good wrestler in AJPW. He has been consistently entertaining for about a decade so I personally really like him."

[8.0] "I just wanted to go out of my way to say that yes, he was a bum in WWE. Yes, he was a bum in NJPW. But since coming to AJPW he has developed into a really solid hand and has proven he is much better than people try to sell him as based on his previous failures. I always get excited when I see him on a card and that says something about how far he has come."

[5.0] "The very definition of "absolutely average": I think the high point of his career was the terrible injury he suffered in that 2015 match against AJ Styles, which says quite a lot. In AJPW he continues to be absolutely average: not bad but not any good either. In a way he's basically like NJPW's Yoshihashi, but with better costumes and marketing."

[5.0] "Yoshitatsu isn't great, but he isn't that bad either. He works well enough as a mentor to the undercard over at All Japan."

[9.0] "Have always loved Yoshi Tatsu since I was a kid with barely any idea of what made professional wrestling appealing, and he's still got that hold on me as a very solid undercard member of the AJPW roster. Much better than his reputation on here might suggest."

[5.0] "He's never been good, I'd have to admit. Even in his Young Lion rookie days where he was being paired up with sensational talent he was always meh, never really being anything but a good hand that could work, but not to any reasonable extent, just being borderline in every capacity. Went to WWE and jobbed endlessly as a comedy low card talent, which wasn't exactly a waste of his capabilities considering he was still not great in the ring and needed carrying to be even somewhat remarkable. NJPW seemed to be grooming him for a big push when he came back by having him against Styles but he flopped badly in the match as the leader of "Hunter Club" even with Styles carrying him as aggressively as he could, and then not only was injured and put out of action for two years, but then started pretending to be Triple H, which killed anything that really remained of his legitimacy. Currently in AJPW where people have the illusion that he's much better because he's in the ring with guys like Suwama and Miyahara, but if he's not working with at least one of those two then he's usually pretty forgettable. Fine, but nothing more."

[6.0] "Yoshi Tatsu is best known for being a jobber in ECW, and an early version of NXT. However, his career improved greatly joining All Japan Pro Wrestling. Despite injuries, Yoshi can still go and put on good matches, whether it being singles or tag team."

[8.0] "Honestly, this is a guy who got way better later in his career, His run in All Japan is currently pretty damn good."

[9.0] "Underrated! great wrestler! In WWE he did well at frist but made him a jobber. That was so sad. his best was in his native land Japan."

[7.0] "Since joining AJPW Yoshitatsu has gotten better as a in ring worker. His time in WWE was not very good and his brief return to NJPW was okay but nothing spectacular. Since coming to AJPW he has gotten better in his overall ring work and presentation"

[7.0] "Do you rate his current/recent work or his whole career up to this point? Impressive rookie in NJPW who stagnated in WWE and mangled his neck upon coming back home. Goes on to become one of the perceived worst in wrestling by the time he left NJPW in 2017 but becoming one of the greatest comeback stories in recent times by the end of the very same year. Do you blame NJPW for refusing to work with him and making him a geek on purpose? Do you blame Yoshi for perhaps not being motivated during these ghastly low periods which might have led to his bad treatment? Who knows. Regardless, we're a few years into the Yoshitatsu redemption run with him showing himself a good, if somewhat limited, midcarder who has shocking chemistry with some of AJP's top stars and a great tag-team wrestler. His current work gets a 7 from me. His overall career's been such a roller coaster I wouldn't know how to rate it."

[8.0] "Average in WWE, poor in New Japan, but Yoshi has finally found his home in All Japan and has improved so much since he first joined. Now an extremely solid singles and tag worker who can hang with the best in the promotion."

[4.0] "Yoshitatsu isn't a bad wrestler, but he's not good enough to even remotely stand out. And his run in WWE, as well as his run in New Japan after returning, completely destroyed his credibility, so that doesn't help his case, either."

[6.0] "I remember when he first appeared on WWE and I was very curious to where he was going to go, honestly there was nothing to stop him becoming a believable midcarder but it wasn't to be, he has been working in Japan for the last few years and hoenstly I find it a much better fit for him."

[6.0] "Pre injury it would had been a 6 but after his injury, he as been dreadful. Terrible gimmick, sticks up the the place. One of the rare few people that got sent back from excursion due to being terrible. EDIT: The past few months he has improved tremendously. Maybe that's just down to him teaming with Kento miyahara but got to give him credit. Was a 3, not a 6."

[2.0] "YoshiTatsu is just not a good wrestler. At one point he showed potential, had some good matches as a Young Lion, then he went to WWE, didn't accomplish much of anything, then returned to NJPW, took a bad Styles Clash, broke his neck, and got worse. He kills crowds when he's in the ring, has the least believable offense on the NJPW roster, and just isn't good. Thankfully he's stuck in undercard tag matches that are easily skippable."

[4.0] "Yoshitatsu's neck injury happened at a horrible point in his career. He was always solid enough to have a good match, and since his return from a botched Styles Clash, he hasn't been the same."

[2.0] "I kinda feel bad for the guy. He obviously loves sports entertainment but I think he would have had better success with a different career choice. He was never great in ring but lately he seems to have gotten worse. Maybe its just that NJPW hasn't given him a chance to shine but the few times he was given something of a chance he didn't deliver, and in one instance ended up getting his neck broken. His kicks look sloppy, his psychology is virtually nonexistent and he doesn't even have a good look. Hes like the polar opposite of the total package. At least he was pretty athletic early on in his career."

[4.0] "Not good, not bad. IŽve seen him in wwe and in njpw and he fits better with the comedy underdog jobber than anything else. NOt very good athleticism, not a lot of charisma, not flashy movies, bad promo."

[3.0] "Yoshitatsu was always a decidedly average worker, and it would seem that he's been taken down a few pegs by his career-threatening injury. At first I thought it was ring rust, but he's had plenty of time to shake that off. The HHH parody gimmick is super cringe-worthy as well."

[4.0] "He's ring skill in WWE was good, but in New Japan he got worse. now he is mocking Triple H's entrance and moves, even his finishing move (pedigree) and Not impressive of his gimmick, he called himself against bullet club known as "Hunter Club.. ? " that's stupid thing I ever seen.. hope he change he's gimmick as soon as possible."

[6.0] "I have only seen him in WWE and not Japan. In WWE he never received the proper push he deserved. He could easily have been Intercontinental Champion. He had a good move set and a good look but he was very frequently used as a jobber. Overall he could have had a better carrier in WWE but I hope he is doing better in Japan."

[4.0] "Seit seiner Rückkehr bei Invasion Attack vor zwei Monaten einfach nur noch schlecht. Sein Triple H rip off ist lächerlich, seine Moves sloppy und hölzern, er ist botch-anfällig, die crowd ist gegen ihn geturnt und er ist nun in einem Stable mit Captain New Japan, was glaube ich alles aussagt. In seinem aktuellen Zustand für New Japan absolut kein Gewinn, wenn er im G1 auftauchen sollte, und ein Yoshi-Hashi beispielsweise nicht, wäre das einen fetten facepalm wert. Vielleicht kriegt er nochmal die Kurve, habe da im Moment aber wenig Hoffnung. Für seine frühen Jahre in der WWE, die ja durchaus ordentlich waren hätte ich 6 gegeben, jetzt würde er gerade mal 2 bekommen, insgesamt noch die 4, auch wenn diese nicht die grausame Verfassung widerspiegelt, in der sich Yoshi momentan befindet."

[3.0] "Yoshitatsu's career is unfortunate. There was a point where he had potential to be a solid midcard act who you could count on for solid midcard matches, but that part of his career was squandered. Once he was finally put in a position to succeed, arriving in NJPW, he got injured, and lost years of his career. Now he's back, and being pushed somewhere between the midcard and the upper-midcard, but between age, rust, and injury, he's just looking terrible. His offense is ugly, he looks completely blown up even after sitting out most of the match, and his selling has been pitiful. And that's not even getting into his Triple H tribute/parody gimmick, which is just baffling. I shouldn't be surprised; given the relative creative freedom of being on a C show with nobody in the brass watching, he feuded over an action figure. His ideas are at least unique, but not compelling. The Triple H gimmick, aside from being bizarre, is performed with such a lack of passion that it's almost depressing. And Yoshi is just not any good at Triple H's signature moves. I've never seen a worse spinebuster in my life. I really hope Yoshi can shake off the rust, power through the injury, lose the bad gimmick, and find it in himself to have a good run in NJPW while he's still got his push. But it's not looking likely."

[5.0] "Yoshi Tatsu had excellent start in ECW back in 2009 with being super over with the crowd from the beginning. Unfortunately, a cheery, full of life persona like himself will only take you to be lightly in the long run. From 2010-2014 he was basically reduced to jobber line status fighting in matches on Superstars with little growth or character development coming from him. If only the guy had some more oomph to him, he could of been something special. Alas, he was criminally wasted by the WWE."

[10.0] "Yoshi Tatsu Is a Very Underrated Wrestler. He made his debut in New Japan and had a good run there until 2007 when he left New Japan and Joined WWE but after than he had a good run in ECW. But after when ECW was Removed. He became Jobber coming time to time in Raw and Smackdown and losing the matches and became largely a enhanced wrestler in Superstars before he was released from WWE and never got a chance to show what he can do. Not his mistakes i think wwe don't know how to use Japanese wrestlers. But after than he came back to New Japan and had a strong showing in his match vs Aj Styles at Power Struggle 2014. But he was injured from that match and out from months now. Hope when he come back He get a chance to prove himself."

[10.0] "One of, if not the biggest waste of talent WWE has ever (ehhhhhhvvvveeerrrrr) wasted, He improved in every match and his English was getting better. His match vs AJ Styles at NJPW power Struggle was a showcase of his talent."

[9.0] "Yoshi Tatsu has amazing in-ring skills and has a great character. He didn't have the best mic skills, but that's understandable due to lack of English. I'm disappointed in WWE for wasting his talent, but now he's off to do better things in NJPW and the independent circuit. I'm looking forward to what he is going to accomplish. His match with AJ Styles at Power Struggle 2014 proved that WWE wasted a potential star in their company. He looked amazing."

[6.0] "Durch und durch solider Wrestler. Beherrscht sein Werk, ohne dabei besonders hervorzustechen oder unten durchzufallen. Als stereotypischer Japaner in der WWE natürlich nie am Mic gefragt oder mit Ernsthaftigkeit ausgestattet worden. Das kann man demnach aus der "Wertung nehmen". So bleibt ein solider Wrestler."

Ich mag seine Stil im Ring und würde ihn gerne mal wieder häufiger sehen, aber ich sehe auch das Problem. So ist auch er ein Jobber ohne Worte und immer vom nächsten Cut bedroht."

[6.0] "Yoshi ist ein 0815 Wrestler. Klar er ist gut im Ring aber irgendwie finde ich ihn trotzdem langweilig und muss ihn nicht unbedingt sehen."

[7.0] "Es macht Spass, ihm im Ring zuzusehen. Er sollte aber wirklich aufpassen, dass er Funaki als Japan-Jobber nicht beerbt. Es wäre schade um ihn."

Er hat in der größten Liga der Welt definitiv seinen Platz gefunden - es mag keine schöne Niesche sein, die Yamamoto füllt, aber sicherlich eine gut bezahlte."

[8.0] "Ein Wrestler mit sehr viel Potential. Für ihn wäre es gut wenn der Cruiserweight Titel wieder eingefürht würde, da er ein Top-Kandidat für diesen wär."

[4.0] "In japanischen Ligen wird Tatsu bestimmt mehr reissen können. Klar es geht wahrscheinlich um das Geld aber ein Superstar wird aus ihm in einer Promotion wie der WWE nie gemacht."

[5.0] "Yoshi Tatsu ist ziemlich gut im Ring. Außerhalb des Rings unterhält er mich aber kaum. Sein Wrestling-Stil gefällt mir aber sehr gut."

[6.0] "Muss sich noch beweisen, im Ring hat er aufjedenfall schon jetzt mehr drauf als Funaki. Was ich in dem ersten Jahr Tatsus gesehen habe war ganz in Ordnung, sehe aber in ihm nicht den zukünftigen World Champion."

[8.0] "Ich will Yamamoto wieder zurück! Yamamoto war ein klasse NJPW Wrestler, der es in NJPW definitiv noch weitgebracht hätte, aber dann ging er doch zur WWE und wurde "schlechter. Liegt natürlich darran das sein Movesetein wenig "gekürzt" wurde. Ich hoffe das Yamamoto zurück kommt. Die WWE setzt ihn zwar nicht SO blöd ein, aber bei NJPW wäre er definitiv besser aufgehoben."

[8.0] "Finde ihn sehr toll. Solide Technik und gutes Wrestling. Ich finde sogar sein Gimmick sehr gut, das gespielte (? ! ) schlechte Englisch und sein freudvolles herumhüpfen kann mich sehr gut unterhalten."

[8.0] "Er gefiel mir vom ersten Moment an sehr gut. Manchmal etwas zu ausgeflippt, aber er ist gut. Er müsste zwar noch an seiner Technik feilen aber im großen und ganzen ist er durchsetzungsfähig. Ich fürchte allerdings, das er bei RAW wohl nicht über die Rolle eines Edeljobbers hinauskommen wird. Deshalb kann ich ihm keine bessere Wertung geben."

[8.0] "Für mich der beste Highflyer der WWE, für mich ist es verwundernd das er noch keine Anfragen von RAW oder SmackDown! bekommen hat"

[6.0] "Ich hätte ja niemlas gedacht, dass Naofumi Yamamoto die Anlagenn zu einem "WWE Japaner" haben könnte. Wenn ich mit sein Auftreten anschaue, erinnert er mich schon ein wenig an Funaki - zumindest, was die Fanreaktionen angeht. Er ist sichherlich kein Greenhorn mehr, muss aber noch an seinem WWE Stil arbeiten."

[5.0] "Ist ein guter Mann. Bei der ECW Show bringt er regelmäßig eine gute Leistung. Zu viel hat er es aber auch noch nicht gebraucht."

Weder sein Auftreten, noch seine Kämpfe sind interessant. Technisch nicht herausragend, aber auch nicht schlecht, ... allerdings einfach nur charakterlos - ganz wie sein Aussehen auch."

[6.0] "Warum nicht mal öfter einsetzten. Er kann als reiner Wrestler mit Exotik Bonus fester Bestandteil des WWE Rosters sein, zumal das Gerücht, er hätte Sheamus verprügelt, einiges an Standing sowohl bei Fans als auch bei Offiziellen bringen könnte."

[7.0] "Ich find ihn einfach klasse ! Er unterhält mich perfekt ... irgendwie ! ?"

[6.0] "Als Wrestler ganz klar, mind. ne 8, aber sein Gimmick ist total panne. Wie er im Ring grinsend rumhüpft geht garnicht."

[4.0] "Ich sehe zwar ein gewisses Potential in ihm. Das Gimmick des dauergrinsenden, hyperaktiven Japaners ist allerdings unerträglich."

[2.0] "Solider Techniker und High-Flyer, dem allerdings jegliches Charisma fehlt. Mehr als ein Platz in der Midcard wird für ihn nicht drin sein, allerdings denke ich, wenn er noch 2 Jahre in der WWE mit dem Gimmick überlebt, kann er sich glücklich schätzen."

[7.0] "Habe erst zwei Mal ECW mit ihm gesehen fand ihn aber von den reinen In-Ring Leistungen nicht schlecht, am Mic bzw. am Englisch muss er noch sehr hart arbeiten. Außerdem hat er ein zu farbloses Gimmick. Sehe in ihm aber potenzial"

[7.0] "Zeigt in den letzten Wochen nach und nach immer bessere Leistungen und auch mehr Moves, gute Moves, am Anfang mochte ich ihn nicht so und hielt ihn für overrated, aber konnte mich dann doch mehr und mehr überzeugen. Bin aber immer noch kein Freund von kicks als Finisher."

[7.0] "Sehe in ihm ein bisschen das "Kofi Kingston-Potenzial" - ein exotisches klischée-behaftetes Gimmick, "fun to watch"-wrestling-stil, findet auf anhieb anklang beim publikum und erntet schnell Sympathien. Cooler Name, sehr gute Entrance-Theme. Muss sich aber noch langfristig bewähren, eindeutig zu früh ihn definitiv zu beurteilen."

[7.0] "Unfassbar wie starke Reaktionen der Fans er hervorruft und auch im Ring nicht schlecht."

[6.0] "Hätte nicht gedacht, dass er es jemals in WWE TV schaffen würde. Hat hart an seinem Körper gearbeitet und gefällt in seinen ersten ECW Matches ganz gut. In dieser Form würde ich ihn auch gerne wieder bei NJPW sehen. Aufwertung: 4 -> 6 Punkte."

[5.0] "Überzeugt micht noch nicht ganz. Hab zwar schon etliche Matches von ihm gesehen doch seine Kicks sind mir einfach nicht stiff genug. Hat zwar ein paar schöne Moves drauf doch die bringen ihm nichts wenn er sie nicht hart genug ausführt. Meiner Meinung nach hat er den Spot im Main-Roster (noch) nicht verdient, also lieber wieder zurück zur FCW."
