[2.0] "The "Rayo de Jalisco" mask is iconic in mexican Lucha Libre history, so this man had success waiting for him the moment he continued his father's legacy. He was definitely a decent wrestler in his prime, around the 80s and early 90s, even having a Mask vs Mask match with Cien Caras that became one of the most iconic Apuestas matches of all time in their country. However, he got worse over time, eventually becoming a terrible wrestler, arguably one of the worst in the mexican scene, with an embarrassing moveset and an arguably ruined legacy."

[2.0] "Rayo de Jalisco Jr. is one of the most overrated Mexican wrestlers ever. All he had is his family name. Even in his prime he was so underwhelming at first time he looked impressive because of his height and looks, but at the time of truth he destroys expectations. Rayo never make his rivals and tag team partners look good. The quality of the match depends heavyly in his teamates or rivals. He is too slow even for a heavyweight. His botches are seen around the internet. It is unclear about why he is still wrestling in 2024 in such poor physical condition. He is ok as especial guest signing autographs for his loyal fans, but he is inadecuate to wrestle. He just dances, poses and makes pantomime. If he is still booked is because there are promoters who believe he still sells tickets and nostalgia."

[5.0] "First the positives: Rayo de Jalisco Jr. was at his peak a huge draw (great family name and CMLL pushed him really hard) and had great topes.Kinda like Atlantis he was a CMLL loyalist through and through and that really helped his cause. Now the negatives: he's one of the many guys who rode hard the family name and ultimately damaged it beyond repair by being really difficult to work with and rarely putting over anyone."

[3.0] "He wasn't very good at his supposed peak. I saw him wrestle in 2017 and oh my god, CMLL should be ashamed of themselves for booking him and the other legends who could barely move. It was so sad. Unsurprisingly, Rayo de Jalisco got worse."
