A pure brawler, Sailor had charisma and was a close friend of Roddy Piper from what I understand having listened to a number of interviews from guys in the scene. By the time I saw White his out of ring habits were catching up to him. WWE wanted to use him as part of their popular Moondog gimmick. I think White was a little bit untrustworthy to keep his dates and eventually his spot in the gimmick was given to another wrestler. It's too bad because even at this low point in his career, Sailor was still very charismatic and without him the Moondog gimmick was quickly relugated to opening comedy act. |
