[8.0] "Man, Ricky Marvin was fantastic, a real fearless cruiserweight that, while he did wiff a ton of offence and some of it looked dodgy, he was a amazing lucha and a prime candidate for the booming NOAH Jr heavyweight scene at the time and had some very innovative bouts with Kanemaru, KENTA, Terry, basically all the guys you'd be used to seeing. He's a real hidden gem in terms of quality and he can really do it all in the ring outside of the flips. I'll never know why he was never brought in by any of the major promotions at the time but it's a damn waste, because he was beyond a lot of his peers in terms of how much creative he could get."

[10.0] "One of the most underrated workers of the last 20 years and one of the few luchadores in modern times who successfully crossed over into Japan as one of the most exciting Jr. Heavyweights in Pro Wrestling NOAH during their peak. Great flyer, great technical wrestler, great striker; just great all around. I wish he had gotten better runs in AAA and CMLL over the years and the lack of top runs in either promotion will probably keep him from being recognized for how great he is, but those who have seen Marvin can attest to him being a one of a kind, even to this day as he now takes the role as grizzled veteran on the lucha indies. His match with KENTA in October of 2009 remains the greatest sub two minute match in the history of pro wrestling."

[8.0] "Superb in ring performer whether he's playing Ricky Marvin and even when he's playing the masked luchadore Bengala. He is truly marvelous in the ring and I love his high flying work, but better than that is his mat work. check him out for yourself."
