"Hirotaka Yokoi was a skilled shoot-style wrestler who transitioned from judo and MMA into professional wrestling, making a name for himself in promotions like Pro Wrestling ZERO1. Known for his grappling expertise and hard-hitting style, he brought a legitimate combat sports presence to the ring, often utilizing submissions and heavy strikes. In addition to his work in puroresu, Yokoi competed in major MMA organizations such as PRIDE, facing some of the toughest fighters of his era. While he never reached the top championship level in professional wrestling, his reputation as a credible and dangerous competitor earned him respect in both disciplines."
