325.05.2023Giantfan19804.0Only saw 2 or 4 of his WWF matches. Early 80's jobber, was great at bumping and making the bigger names look like a million dollars.
407.05.2023face painted legend9.0Rodz was kind of like a box of chocolates when it came to his matches because you never knew what you were going to get. Some nights you may see him do a traditional wrestling match, other night's he might take it off course quickly, and have it turn in to something else. Which is why he got the nickname "The Unpredictable". The opponent played a big role in the version of him you got as well. Because if you had it and Johnny felt you had it, he would make you look like a million bucks. If Vince Sr or Jr was up in the air about where someone was as a talent, Johnny was who they put them with. If the opponent was a problem in the back and they needed something done with him, they would put them with Johnny so he could stretch them and make them scream. Usually "enhancement talent" gets thrown around when his name comes up, but he was a shooter, he was the real deal, and a real gate keeper in the early days of WWF/E under both McMahon's.

704.01.2023Squared Circle7.0Quality jobber. Good look, good personality. Took all the bumps. Significant trainer, which adds a point. Editing this as I've been rewatching some of his later stuff. Adding one point.
807.05.2022Conquistador379.0Mr. Unpredictable was one of the best (and sometimes only) reasons to watch the McMahon product pre national expansion. He could make almost any match entertaining because you never knew if he was going to wrestle a standard affair or would come off the rails almost immediately. What's in a name yknow? Very fun tag team matches with Jose Estrada Sr. as his partner. Forced something enjoyable and certainly watchable out of some real SLOTHS. So underrated it's almost disgusting. His training of D-Von Dudley must also be commended, D-Von implemented fundamentals better than anyone in his era or since. Too bad Johnny Rodz spent so much time in New York, cuz it was never really my style. A 9, because he really was the lone saving grace on too many shows!

1223.01.2021Brett19805.0The unpredictable Johnny Rodz who predictably always loses. Has got a good reputation as a trainer which bumps him up a point.
1327.02.2020JEK 199110.0He seems fine as a wrestler. What I give him credit for is how hard he worked in being a jobber during his career. One of the best jobbers of all-time. Another thing I give him credit for is training ECW Legends like Tazz, the Dudley Boyz and Tommy Dreamer. Being in the WWE Hall of Fame is questionable but I guess he deserved because of the 20 years he was with WWE (WWWF).
