Though he left TNA before making an in-ring return, he has worked since then with some regularity on the indy scene and had one match in Ring of Honor. Time will tell if he will get another shot on a major level, or if the lingering risk presented by that neck injury will prevent the big companies from taking a chance on him."

Zudem sieht er auf den ersten Blick aus wie ein 0815-Wrestler in Badehose. Was ihn aber so unterhaltsam macht, ist seine hervorstechende Underdog-Ausstrahlung. Es macht einfach unglaublich viel Spaß diesen jungen Texaner, der seinen Traum verwirklicht hat, auf dem Weg an die Spitze zu zusehen. Das unterhält. Und das zählt."

Im Ring ist Sorensen zwar kein schlechter, aber eben auch fast durchweg von Leuten umgeben, die das ganze mindestens genauso gut können. Abseits dessen bleibt von ihm leider nicht viel hängen - außer dass er aussieht wie Cody Rhodes jüngerer Zwilling. Zugute halten kann man ihm, dass er erst 22 Jahre alt ist. Bleibt also zumindest in der Theorie noch viel Zeit, um am eigenen Charakter zu feilen."

[8.0] "The first time I saw Jesse Sorensen in TNA in that triple threat match against Jack Evans and Anthony Nese, I was very impressed with him and his tremendous abilities! TNA definitely made a smart move by signing him to a TNA contract because this guy is so talented and ever since he came to TNA, he's been performing really well in his matches with the likes of Jack Evans, Anthony Nese, Austin Aries, Magnus, Kid Kash most notably, their matches have been great, I mean this guy can really go in the ring! I wish he would talk on the mic though cause none of us know anything about him other than the fact that he used to play college football and that he obviously is very good in the ring. But Jesse has tremendous abilities and if he talks anytime soon and if he has great mic skills as well, I definitely think he'll be the X-Division champion someday and a believable one at that! I like Jesse, I'm a fan of his and I want to see him be successful!"
