[10.0] "Undoubtedly one of the best technical wrestlers ever, and still has some fuel left in the tank. Very much a homage to the UWF-I or RINGS style of work, but can also play a pure pro wrestler very well. He is one of very few workers I would call "slow" in a complimentary sense, he has a very nice sense of pacing and struggle in his ground game and grappling and he's very able to keep you engaged for a 30 minute bout, which not a lot of guys who work his style can do for you. Even now, he does a great job working a, ironically enough, King's Road style as a tag guy in All Japan. All Japan has generally had one of the best, or at least most underrated tag divisions in the world, and Suzuki's work is a major part of that. Realistically, there are few guys who have the versatility that Suzuki has as a worker, really going back to guys like Kawada, or more fittingly, his trainer, the legendary Billy Robinson. Even in his mid 40s, Suzuki could have a run with the Triple Crown and he could restore some prestige to that belt."

[9.0] "Eye ball test on Hideki Suzuki is average, in-ring never a world champion type of wrestler but psychology and athletic paralysis is bar none. Jovi to the diamond mine and more stronger with REAL. He is the favoured candidate to spa with or take the time to pay train for a MMA contest like his battles with Laughter 7 founder Kazushi Sakuraba in 2023. As a pro wrestler he cannot go in depth anymore but in a fight, do not judge his performances until you face him yourself. This man came from the connection of the original tiger mask and Billy Robinson!"

[5.0] "A lot of people have a fondness for this type of pro wrestling and I can see why. It's gritty, realistic, serious, and entertaining if the person is good enough. Hideki was trained well in this style so he definitely checks that box while he's wrestling. The issue I have is that this catch wrestling is so outdated. Hideki wrestles like it's Pancrase 1996 and I'm not sure if anyone's noticed but time has passed and grappling has evolved. Seeing him preserve this style and doing it against other wrestlers just makes me shake my head. It makes me wish we had more black belts in jiujitsu and judo in pro wrestling to really change the game. Instead, I'm looking at a guy do stuff from the past and it all looks good but I'm engaged because I see other people do it better and I just wish a guy like Hideki would adapt. He doesn't emote much, and his selling ain't the best when he does. In that regard Thatcher his brother from another mother has him beat. Though Hideki does throw a far crisper strike than Thatcher a nice mean elbow and shoot headbutt. I should like him more than I do but I just can't seem to find it in my heart."

From bell-to-bell, he is probably the most refined, and sophisticated wrestler outside of Bryan Danielson. His psychology, logic, storytelling, cool composure, selling, & timing all suck me right into his matches. I have been amazed at his 2022 NOAH N-1 Victory matches. This is someone that probably should be considered for a GHC Heavyweight Title reign in the near future."

[10.0] "An acquired taste is the best way to describe Hideki. If you aren't into him grappling guys to death and only losing to shooters he's not for you and never will be. You can tell from the first lockup he's a Billy Robinson student and I love it. Stiff striking and smothering grappling on top of being a scary ass presence in ring. I adore Hideki and his unique take on wrestling in the current era"

[10.0] "Bumping my original 11. 11. 2018 rating of 9 to a 10. Suzuki is one of the best technical wrestlers in the world right now. Hideki is an old-school type "hooker" who generally does nothing super flashy but just wears his opponent down. That said, it's a real shame on his ability that he went to WWE where he is so far at most being used as a manager. Hopefully he is able to show his strengths somewhere in the next 10 years"

[10.0] "Hideki Suzuki is the best technical wrestler in the world and i think more people need to start seeing that. Every match i've ever seen of his has been a technical masterpiece and he's had some incredible matches against the likes of Go Shiozaki, Katushiko Nakajima and Daisuke Sekimoto among others. I hope Hideki comes back to japan soon because his presence in NOAH is greatly missed"
Friedsteak wrote on 02.01.2021:

Awesome technician, awesome suplex throws, a cool demeanor that can turn ugly very quick, and a genuinely nice guy who seems to enjoy his role as 'godfather' to the BJW youngsters. My favorite guy to watch in the ring."
