318.07.2025bherbert19809.0Sherri Martel was pure electricity. She could wrestle, manage, talk, cheat, and make anyone look like a star. She brought edge, attitude, and chaos wherever she went. Whether it was guiding Savage to madness, hyping up Shawn Michaels, or brawling ringside with the boys, she gave everything she had. She was loud, fearless, and unforgettable. No gimmick was too wild, no moment too big. One of the realest to ever lace up boots or throw a heel in the ring

626.03.2025ICtheFourthColour10.0The finest New Orleans export. Sherri stands out amongst the ever colourful cast of characters circa late 80s early 90s WWF golden era. A women's WWF champion in her own right, Sherri's wrestling was great but her managerial success is what catapulted her to the top. One hell of a combo with Randy Savage. Foil to Hulk Hogan. Also made an impact in WCW with Harlem Heat. A fearless woman who took some gnarly bumps. Sherri was built for the wrestling business, an unforgettable icon and hall of famer.

1804.06.2024Ozzy9.0Good manager, great wrestler, even in the time where women's wrestling wasn't taken seriously, she was a walking legend. Mt Rushmore of women's wrestlers in my book with Alundra Blayze, Mildred Burke, and Trish Stratus, she held up her division with moolah leaving her prime. Phenomenal in any role she's placed in.

2112.05.2024thedman031010.0Not only was Sherri one of the best female wrestlers in the US before 2000, she was also one of the greatest managers in all of wrestling history. Great in-ring, excellent promos, and a phenomenal look, with her dresses and facepaint changing almost every night. She died far too young.

3012.01.2024GAF19.0Okay, I'll admit right off I'm a Sherri mark. But many will admit she was the most well-rounded performer of her time and not many today can match her on that. She was a good wrestler, probably the best manager and female wrestling personality of her time. I would agree with those who commented that she was best utilized.as a manager. So sad she left us so soon. A big loss. She would've been a great teacher for women wrestlers.
3106.01.2024Itayboi8.0I mean what can i say abou sherri that has not been said before. Not super found of her in fhe ring but at ringside she was fantastic. Her time with macho was her best (and i almost prefer macho and her to macho and liz) but she was very good with the milion dolar man and even after that in the new gen era in both the fed and wcw she was still just an exlent manger.
3229.11.2023Bar78678810.0Sensational Sherris importance, uniqueness, and status as a pioneer and trailblazer cannot be overstated. She was as much of a threat to whoever she was managing as her client. I see its been said in the comments before numerous times, and Ill repeat it- Sherri was the greatest valet in wrestling history and she had that magical touch to manipulate the audiences feelings like a conductor. Her often insane makeup combined with her coarse wicked witch like screams were truly terrifying and she would get physically involved in the matches, bump like crazy and was just a heat magnet, extremely perceptive of how to garner particular reactions. Polar opposite of Miss Elizabeth, it was Sherri that Randy would turn on to get the fans back on his side setting up for one of the most iconic and sweet moments in wrestling, Liz and Randys reunion. It was Sherri who took the Heartbreak Kid, arguably the GOAT, to new heights and when it was time for him to soar she took the mirror to the head. And it was her moan that would greet us for years and years after she was gone every time he came out to the ring. Sherri managed to take someone with no experience in Sapphire and pull out a totally exciting match out of her. Some might say that after Andre and Bobby Heenan, that Sherri was the greatest threat to Hulk Hogan as champion. Any woman that wants to become a wrestler should study Sherri Martels career

3414.11.2023Der Galische Krieger10.0One of the greatest wrestlers of all time, she was the complete package. Her ringwork was brilliant and sold like a trooper to men and women. She was at her best as a manager, that maniacal laugh, I love it, the screams of your nightmares creating the ultimate heel. She had a quality promo and everything she did in and out of the ring was legitimate, plus she was gorgeous. I lover Sherri, but sadly she drops a few points from how she was used in the WWF, she should of been leading the women's division there as a multi-year or multi-time champion, but she was left outside the ring most of her career at the WWF. With most of her best in ring work at AWA, you get glimpses of her brilliance in the ring at the WWF. Top notch promo, top notch wrestler, top of the pile woman wrestler, top 5 managers & sadly missed. 9.5*

3604.10.2023Giantfan19808.0Sherri was the overall complete package of Women's wrestler and manager. She could actually wrestle better than 90% of every girl who came down the pike after her times and she had no issue with taking solid bumps from the baby faces who she constantly harassed which made her punishment more satisfying. Sherri was also good at playing the comedic heel like Bobby Heenan and she could pull off slapstick humor pretty well. Watching her get embarrassed was always good fun. Sherri was everything you wanted in a heel valet/manager.

4410.09.2022Conquistador3710.0*slaps Tito Santana at full force* "A Woman's work is never done". She really was the best. She put her EVERYTHING into the sport/business and solidified herself in record time as the pinnacle of women's involvement in wrestling*, and maintained that position for a very long time (arguably still holds it). She introduced me to my affinity for stockings of virtually every and all sorts. Screamed her gawdamn head off. Look absolutely stunning in every phase of her career; standouts would be her run with Shawn Michaels and Harlem Heat, smoking hot! Took bumps unlike any other, she allowed others to play ping pong with her. Gave Hulk Hogan some of his most memorable moments. Hey, remember when Randy Savage turned heel and we all loved him anyway; but he had to make us hate him so the only answer was: Sensational QUEEN Sherri? ! Sherri MADE people, not the other way around - she had the magic touch. The Ultimate Warrior had TROU-BLE at house shows - who saves the day? SHERRI! Did anyone really want to see Sapphire in the ring? No. But there she was, and it took SHERRI to make it actually fun to watch! Hacksaw Jim Duggan wouldn't have had the sympathy heat he sometimes got, had SHERRI not just raked his eyes. The greatest of all time. Could turn chicken sh! t into chicken salad and did it almost every day of her life. The embodiment of an over achiever who gave their all. Their all for us, for them, for everyone. Awe inspiring and a gift to this world. Rest in peace you beautiful nutty soul. I am forever grateful for you Sherri Martel. (*: i fully acknowledge and understand there were better "wrestlers", in the same way Lance Storm is technically a better wrestler than Randy Savage)

5404.07.2021juiceisloose10.0Hands down the best female manager of all time. Probably shares the best manager status along with Jimmy Hart. Was incredibly entertaining, could cut great promos, didn't mind taking bumps from men, actually had a wrestling background and was committed to the business. There really is not one bad thing to say about this woman since she made every wrestler she managed a hundred times more interesting.

5816.03.2021Parts Unknown10.0In the 80's and 90's if you showed up out of the blue with Jimmy Hart or Sensational Sherri then strap on your boots cause you are booked for a title run. As a manager they didn't waste her time with anything but the belt. Macho Man, Ric Flair, Harlem Heat, Shawn Michaels, Ted Dibiase... if you were the top heel at the time and needed a manager it was Sherri. But before that she made sure to snag the Women's championship 5 TIMES! as Booker T would say. Sherri was legit. And as a wrestler she was over. She would play a very weird type of role, starting as a monster heel dominating her opponent- taunting and kicking her, then as soon as she caught any bit of fight back she would switch into coward heel mode, roll out of the ring, hide behind her male partner and complain to the ref like someone did something to her LOL. Great stuff. She used to chain wrestle and use ring psychology, working specific body parts and prioritize veteran ring smarts like foot on the ropes instead of kick outs. As a valet she is known for her screeching laugh, but its out of context by that point. In the 70's/80's as a wrestler she would laugh at her opponents after making them look stupid by winning with roll ups, feet on the ropes, tight pulls, outsmarting them into being counted out, or ko'ing their own partner, etc... She was very much a thinking man's fighter, ducking behind the ref and chastizing him for not enforcing a rule she knew such as a 4 count break or open fist, or some other obscurity. Then when his back was turned she would do it and laugh. LOL classic.

6310.12.2020qveenovhell10.0One of the greatest valets/managers of all time. Sherri had such a distinct personality and her growling voice gave her a unique presence at ringside. Couple that with the fact that she was also a competent, capable in ring competitor and you have one of the best all round talents in the history of the business who doesn't truly get the respect that her legacy deserves. Truly one of the greatest to ever do it.

7010.08.2019KyleEnjoysWrestling9.0While the majority of women in the early days were somewhat reserved, Sherri was a pipebomb. She was not afraid to let people hear her voice & that's a part of what made her so great. She had a longer run as a wrestler than many people remember, especially in the AWA. When she transitioned to being a full time manager, her personality & charisma really took off & she is widely regarded as one of the most admired women of her time.

7221.08.2018pappahouse8.0Von der Wrestlerin Sherri habe ich nie viel gesehen. Als Managerin fand ich sie super sexy und glamurös. An der Seite von Shawn Michaels gefiel sie mir am Besten. 8214.04.2017DanTalksRasslin10.0Sherri was just fantastic. Perhaps most memorable for her managerial work in the WWF, where her brassy personality made her an integral part of Randy Savage's career (most especially his feud with the Ultimate Warrior and ultimately his reunion with Elizabeth), as well as Shawn Michaels. She also made managerial appearances in WCW and ECW. When able to show it, she was herself an excellent in-ring technician, as shown in both the AWA and early in her WWF run (her WWF Women's Title run and one of her four AWA Women's Title runs lasted over a year each). Her in-ring experience did transfer to her managerial work too, as she was able to take bumps of the sort you normally only saw with male managers at the time. Was there anything she couldn't do? (She even sang the original version of Shawn Michaels' "Sexy Boy" song! )

8404.04.2017pazampogna10.0A true legend of the business in every since of the word. If i was a female either in the business, or wanting to be in the business, I would be studying everything this woman touched. Whether it be as a manager, a personality, a wrestler (which I don't think she gets nearly enough credit for). Sensational Sherri, Scary Sherri, Sister Sherri---GOLD. Such a shame she is no longer with us.

8809.07.2016Colt10.0Die Mutter aller Divas!
9020.02.2016Phenomenal918.0Her rival for Randy Savage's affections, Miss Elizabeth, was cool, calm, and delicate. Sensational Sherri was brash, in your face, always waiting with a cheap shot, screamed at every opportunity, and could back it up in the ring when necessary. A great valet, sorely missed.
9112.11.2015La Trina10.0Sensational Sherri Martel is someone every young lady trying to get into the business should always look up to. As a manager, a valet, a personality and an in ring competitor, Miss Sherri had it all.

9621.05.2015zzzorf6.0Personally I have never been much of a Sherri fan, mostly because she was so good at her job of being a heel valet that I always wanted her to get what she had coming to her. Now that I have grown up and know better I have a great respect for her that she could garner that sort of reaction from a young boy but it has left that dislike ingrained in my very being and I am having trouble dislodging it. As for her wrestling ability well I have only even known for the last few years that she even wrestled before her managerial duties and haven’t seen a great deal of her work that my opinion is neither here nor there at the moment.
