| 1 | 20.02.2012 | TAWPTierJustin | 6.0 | I think Rodney Thomas was the 2nd person to sign with WWE who was trained by Lance Storm and when he got released back in October, I wasn't really too bummed about it. I mean it would've been nice to see Rodney's in-ring talent more than just the one time I saw him wrestle on FCW TV in that handicap match against Richie Steamboat, but at the time, I didn't really care that much. But with that being said, I'm not saying Rodney Thomas is a bad wrestler at all. Sure I only saw a smidgen of his abilities inside that ring cause Richie Steamboat had control of most of the match, but from what I saw of Rodney, I think he's actually a pretty decent wrestler. I can see that Lance Storm taught him well on how to apply holds and reverse arm holds and all that and Rodney also did a good headlock takedown as well, but those were the only moves I saw out of him as far as wrestling holds go, but as far as his punches go, he needs to work on making them look like they hurt the opponent cause when he punches, I'm not convinced that they hurt his opponents, but other than that, I think he's decent overall. Like I said, I didn't really care too much for his release, but at the same time, I bet for Lance Storm, it's sad to hear that even one of your students didn't make it to WWE, but hopefully Rodney can find work in wrestling elsewhere. |
