[6.0] "Yosuke Santa Maria was way better at the start of his career. Now he is ok and can be a solid worker but nothing impressive"

[8.0] "I think the gimmick change we've been waiting for isn't coming, but that shouldn't distract you from what Yosuke can bring to the table. She works well in comedy matches (as seen in her matches with Ichikawa), and her Brave Gate run wasn't bad. She seemed great as well during her bout versus Ishida in 2020, but has been pushed down the card a tad in more recent times. The skippable-undercard-tag-match Santa Maria that we've been looking at ever since she challenged for the Twin Gate with Eita isn't really that enjoyable, and she's better off not fading into obscurity in these matches for the remainder of her career."

[4.0] "What's the story here' Who did this guy piss off in Dragon Gate management to get saddled with such an embarrassing and completely career-limiting gimmick' And why does this guy really have such little self-respect so as to accept this gimmick instead of demanding to be treated as a serious wrestler' I've seen him in his early career when he showed off some impressive acrobatics and looked quite promising, all while looking like someone who truly wanted to be a wrestler. He can still show off some impressive acrobatics and athleticism even today, but that all gets overshadowed by his awful character with the terrible makeup, revolting fake voice, and ridiculous gimmick attacks. Maybe this thing works for the audience members who are interested in seeing the attractive top stars get kissed and such, but that does nothing for me. I'd understand if this "Santa Maria" character was just a temporary gimmick to set up a great contrast once he finally breaks free and becomes more serious, but he's had this character for almost 10 years, so we have to accept that DG see this guy as nothing more than a joke character and/or Yosuke is content to rely on 'pageantry' and 'sports entertainment' rather than being a real wrestler. Thank god he's at least not been pushed to any serious degree with this gimmick, and it's a relief that he's mostly left to totally skippable undercard matches these days. If neither DG or Yosuke himself are going to allow him to do anything serious then I have no use for him and I'd happily never see him again. A real shame, because he's clearly talented in the ring but he just doesn't care about being taken at all seriously or having to work hard."

[7.0] "I think it is definitely time for a gimmick change, but in all matches I have seen him in he was effective and over. Great ringwork, good comedy and not too over-the-top, I think he could do more with another gimmick while he is still young."

[7.0] "Yosuke Santa Maria is surely the finest diva in DG and maybe even one of the best diva in the whole world right now. She got the style, can make you laugh at any moment of her match and actualy has some cool moves in the arsenal."

[4.0] "Good enough in the ring but too many antics that get old once you've seen him more than a few times. Also sounds like Doodlebob in the ring which is extremely hard to get out of your head once you've heard it. Extremely limited what you can do with him due to the gimmick and it's hard to really get a great match as a result. Fun but not great."

[8.0] "By all meanings of the word Yosuke can wrestle, and they have strong crowd support, but their antics can get annoying, especially when a great match losses some flow for the sake of some bad comedy. Has stopped the comedy for the most part though."
