[8.0] "[8.0] Really fun to watch. As far as shoot work he goes, he wasn't the absolute peak in terms of quality, but what he lacked in matwork, he more than made up for by being an absurdly entertaining, cocky asshole, and threading the line between that and coming off as a legitimate killer so expertly that it hasn't really been matched since. His asshole antics may have extended further than kayfabe, looking at his infamous attempt at dojo storming Rickson Gracie that started UWFi's death spiral, but Anjo's career extended far past that after UWFi folded and was still a joy. Extremely underrated guy."

[9.0] "I wouldn't say he was even in the top tier of shoot-style work, but Anjo makes up for that in spades because he's a shit-talking asshat who killed the entire UWF with his antics. That's also why he's awesome, because he's just such a ass that he can make any random match doubly better because of it. Random 3 minute match with a 50+ Abdullah the Butcher? Sure man, Anjo can make that fun. Teaming up with Kendo Kashin a lot as a buddy-cop tag of two dudes that don't like or respect the other? Easily done. Fighting Mitsuyaman to a actually pretty good match in a random Champion Carnival outing? That happened. Handling the Iron Sheik in a weird work turned shoot match? Was done and dusted. People tend to ignore anything beyond his shoot-work, which is a shame because Anjo has a very respectable post-prime career where he's just having a lot of fun. Even his retirement match, which is mostly him just getting battered by everyone else involved is a entertaining match. That aspect to his general match quality just lifts everything up, even the bad stuff (which there's a decent portion of) but I think he balances annoying prick and legit dangerous threat seamlessly well with the other in such a unique way that hasn't been done before or since. Always a blast to check out, which for me is the high-mark of a wrestler."

[10.0] "Mr. 200%. Anjo was an absolute blessing on the wrestling landscape, combining genuinely great in-ring ability with an insane amount of charisma, resulting in one of the most easily watchable shoot style wrestlers in history. I'll never forget watching him vs Tarzan Goto for the first time, seeing Goto in his usual cross-armed stance before the bell before the shot changed to Anjo doing the exact same pose with the smuggest grin on his face. His work with Yamamoto and Takayama in Golden Cups was just so much fun as well, and when Anjo wanted to get serious he could very easily turn from the little prick he usually was into an absolute killer."

[9.0] "Yes, Anjo's attitudes weren't the best ones, but at least the man had the decency to apologize when he did wrong. Anyway, a mixture of charisma with skills, Anjo was an amazing shooter that helped the newer generation to grow into the style and was around every time the UWF existed. He, Yamamoto and Takayama had a funny chemistry together as Golden Cups, but also they could be a serious tag team in front of other tags like ChoTen. In general, he wasn't the best around, but was always a highlight of what Maeda's boys meant with the word "innovation"."

[6.0] "Yoji Anjoh was decent at the worked shoot style, and was capable as a real fighter. But that didn't mean he could beat anyone of note, and his antics helped spell the end of the UWF-I."
