His output is high impact & he always seems quite unhinged in-ring, which I appreciate. He's better than people like Crimson & Morgan in the sense that his ring work was quite varied, as well."

[9.0] "Trevor Lee is equal parts athlete and entertainer. I feel that he is a lot more talented than perhaps some people would give him credit for. If you only know him for his time as Cameron Grimes in WWE, I highly suggest you check out his recent indie work, especially his match against Cedric Alexander at Unit3d. Trevor Lee is someone who embodies exactly what it means to be a professional wrestler."

[5.0] "Not a fan of his character work at all. He seems to be universally loved, but I just don't see it personally. I will say that he is a good in-ring worker, which saves his grade big time for me, cause every segment I've seen him in has made me want to turn it off."

He made a name for himself with gritty, hard-hitting matches that blended Southern-style brawling with indie innovation, earning respect from fans and peers alike. When he transitioned to WWE as Cameron Grimes, he didn't lose his edge -- he just added layers of character. Whether playing the scrappy underdog in NXT or the obnoxious crypto-rich loudmouth, Grimes proved he could talk, entertain, and still go in the ring when the bell rang. His feud with LA Knight, including the unforgettable Butler storyline, showed he had comedy timing and emotional depth -- something not every indie darling can pull off. Trevor Lee isn't just a great wrestler -- he's the kind of guy who makes others better, and he's long overdue for a real main roster push."

[7.0] "A great worker in the later 2010s but his stint in WWE really stunted his growth and momentum , I've not been impressed with his work on the indies post WWE release."

[10.0] "If we are talking strictly about the modern North Carolina territory, Trevor Lee is the greatest wrestler coming out of not just Cameron, but the whole state. His drawn-out epic battles in CWF, his incredible stint in AAW, his performances in BOLA and DDT4, his run under the helms dynasty with Everett, to-the-moon Cameron Grimes, and now in DPW and West Coast Pro. this is someone that pours his heart and soul out into everything he does, face or heel. charismatic and funny, but amazingly emotional when he needs to be, always happy go-lucky but tragic in many ways."

[8.0] "Trevor Lee was definitely an early favorite of mine during his time in PWG and in his run in NXT as well. He's so great with his in-ring style which match he's Carolina Caveman moniker and has personality either it being confident & cheeky or endearing & uplifting. Since leaving WWE, he's starting to go back into his roots with a more refined vigor and has put on some stellar matches and hopefully gives him more opportunities in more Promotion!"

[8.0] "As the "Carolina Caveman" on the indies he was one of the best wrestlers. I saw him have 60+, 70+, and 90 minute matches that somehow never got boring and were back and forth and exciting. A comment a little further down really nails it by saying they feel bad for anyone who only knows him from NXT. I'm sure he's making great money and probably happy but selfishly as a fan of his for a long time I expected a lot more. It's like Nakamura's run. I'm not saying he was going to main event Wrestlemania but by now some kind of US or IC title run. 10/30/24 update: Now he's back on the indies and seems to be doing pretty well. I'm just glad he's not wearing a goofy hat and jumping in the shower with a ghost in Dexter Lumis' haunted house."

[8.0] "Has found a way to stand out everywhere he goes. Was not given much of a shot in TNA and still his tag team with Everett was entertaining and his X-Division title run was good. In NXT he got a crazier gimmick that he played well and allowed him to survive the 2.0 indy purge and become a highlight of Tuesday Nights."

[9.0] "Who doesn't like Cameron? He's amazing, he blew me away from the moment I saw him. He stands out a lot in NXT and hopefully he'll move up to one of the top brands soon."

[9.0] "This guy is 29 and he has been consistently great since 22. He is tearing it up in NXT and absolutely love everything he does."

[8.0] "Face Grimes is great! He's extremely talented in the ring, and his character and charisma are top notch. At 27, he's still hopefully got a few years before he even begins to his his peak. Unfortunately, I don't see him having much more success in the 2.0 era or main roster, but there are other options now. I've only had two issues with him, and one's been recently corrected. First, I always though he was just a little too, welll, Grimey. Too much body hair, too unkempt hair and beard. The recent story arcs have cleaned him up, and he looks great without losing that back country vibe. Second is the cave in. I just don't like it. Any kind of double foot stomp has to be pulled so much that it looks fake almost all the time (except for Riho, who I think is just so small she doesn't pull it at all)."

[9.0] "Grimes is 27 and already has a very impressive record of exceptional matches. His run so far in NXT has been pretty good, especially in terms of character work, but I feel the full extent of his greatness has yet to be unleashed. If you look at his work especially before coming to WWE, he was having some truly incredible matches and just tearing it up on the Indies. At 27 years of age, I'm almost certain he will be a huge name in a few years if he gets booked correctly. I hope to God they do him justice in WWE, otherwise he should just make the move to AEW because he's world champion material."

[8.0] "He? s a great comedy wrestler. He? s also good in the ring. I haven? t seen any of his indies work, so I don? t know how he does as a more serious character, but he? s been great in NXT."

[8.0] "A rich redneck making references to the Gamestop stock scandal should not have been as successful as it currently is. The fact that Cameron Grimes is as over as he is with the NXT audience with the gimmick, the fact that the gimmick got popular enough to bring in Ted DiBiase and the Million Dollar Championship, is a testament to how charismatic Cameron is. Grimes' has a great understanding of character work and can work well as both a face and a heel, and he's also slowly showing that he is more than just a comedy wrestler and can bring the gimmick to a more serious level. Being a solid in-ring performer is just icing on the cake for him. At this rate, Cameron Grimes could become one of the top babyfaces on NXT, something NXT has been lacking for quite some time."

[8.0] "of all the recent NXT call ups in the past two years this one is my favourite. The sky isn't even the limit for him."

[8.0] "Great in the ring, he was really underrated and produce some great matches in Impact and PWG. Now as a comedy character, he's great in that role as well. No matter the character he's, it always seems to succeed well. It feels sometimes he overdoes things though with his character which can be annoying at times but overall, really entertaining."

[8.0] "Could see him becoming the next big comedy gimmick in WWE. Feels better suited for the MR than for NXT."

[8.0] "He is solid in the ring, but I especially like his new character. The way he delivers it is just perfect."

[6.0] "He gets points for being good in the ring and being able to work well with a variety of people but his gimmicks do not work for me. It takes away some enjoyment from watching him onscreen because the attempts at comedy fall pretty flat."

[7.0] "I was starting to really get behind Grimes as he was slowly ascending through the ranks of the NXT roster. But they recently brought him back as a full fledged comedy character & I feel this is going to be the beginning of the end of him. Sure it has moments of charm right now. But what is the endgame? This gimmick has no ability to be a real main eventer. So they either eventually do a drastic 180º turn & revert him back into a more serious incarnation; or they go all the way & have him doing ridiculous comedy for the majority of his career. And I have news for anyone who finds this charming for now: Just imagine what this gimmick will look like once he hits the main roster & has Vince & Bruce booking him. This feels like a version of Santino. For now, if I consider both his serious stuff alongside the still-new comedy gimmick; I'll give him a generous seven for a rating. But something tells me that in a few years, people are going to be smacking their heads into walls anytime goofball Grimes is hamming it up on Raw."

[6.0] "Don? t get me wrong, Grimes is incredible technically sound. His execution is really great and he puts on great matches. His promo ability is awful. Shockingly bad. He has confidence when handed a mic, but his acting ability is really bad. He pulls ridiculous faces in attempts to convey emotion but they just come out as cringe. When he wrestles I love it, but he needs to get his act together on the mic."

[10.0] "Usually I chear for the heel when they are cool or great in the ring like Adam Cole (when he was heel ) or Jay White but him he is so irritating I want to see him leave my screen forever then when he does he immediately missed me He is perfect in his own unique way truly a special wrestler"

[10.0] "Absolutely incredible wrestler. WOW. He delivers great matches against every opponent, that man is maybe the best WWE in ring performer today. I hope his booking will be better in the future because it makes me angry for some months. Even in the indy scene he delivered awesome matches like against Andrew Everett in CWF Mid-Atlantic."

He should be a way bigger name and it's a crime he isn't classified as one of the best in the world. Did I mention he's only 24?"

[9.0] "Criminally underrated. If you only watch pwg or tna, you may think this guy is really good, but not spectacular. Then you should watch his CWF stuff especially his current CWF title reign, which i think second best title reign in the world just after okada's imo. In CWF, he shows his old school style, works very long match and still keep the fans hot. Definitely one of the best in the world. He can play both face and heel roles very well, too. More jaw-dropping that he is only 24. So much time for him to prove himself."

[10.0] "Trevor Lee is my favourite wrestler right now and has been for the past year and a half. His title run in CWF Mid-Atlantic is legendary. I've never seen a bad Trevor Lee match & I doubt I will. He can talk which is weird because in TNA they would never let him talk, He can brawl, technical savage & a great high flyer. Trevor is a diamond that has only just started to shine at 23 years old"

[10.0] "If you've only seen Trevor Lee in places like Impact Wrestlling, you're missing out. His work in CWF Mid-Atlantic is some of the best I've seen in ages, with one of the best title reigns in the world today. Incredible all-rounder, with particularly great high flying."

[9.0] "It was only earlier in 2016 when I discovered his work in CWF that I was blown away by Trevor Lee. I liked some of the stuff he had done in PWG before that, but he never really had any amazing MOTYC material matches, but then I did discover him in CWF, and man, he is so good. His title run has been absolutely epic there. He is such a good wrestler; can work the spotty, fast paced style & also the long Bryan Danielson/Ric Flair style title matches. Trevor is one of my favorites at the moment. He's great, really one of the best wrestlers in the world right now."

[10.0] "Trevor Lee is exceptional at everything he does, as a heel he is good(PWG, TNA). As a tag wrestler he is great(With Andrew Everett). As a singles babyface champion he is amazing, his CWF championship run is a joy to watch. Lee has a great look and great matches, thee future is a caveman."

[6.0] "Trevor Lee, for his experience level and age, is pretty decent in the ring. With that being said, I do feel he's a tad bit overrated. While he isn't bad by any means, he hasn't really impressed me either. His look needs a makeover, he can be sloppy, and his gimmick isn't very original. He does have potential to do great things in the future."

[10.0] "this guy is really good in the ring, a great mix of high flying ability and technical and power wrestling (with insanely good kicks - up there with the Young Bucks in terms of how good he does them) looks like a wild man - which fits the Carolina Caveman nickname and he's pretty good on the mic although he could improve slightly - just give the lad time though because he's still young, 22 days younger than me in fact). a very bright future for this man if he keeeps up his work i'm sure he'll be a internationally known name."

[10.0] "I have seen the future, and it's a hairy dude from Hardy Boys Country known as Trevor Lee. One look at him and you might not be impressed. But once the bell rings... you'll see things from this guy you've never seen before (a rarity in this day and age. ) He can fly, he can brawl, he can Karelin lift, and he has the most powerful knees since Tommaso Ciampa. He will lead GFW into the next era of professional wrestling. Fear the Carolina Caveman."

After seeing his triple threat match vs Cedrick Alexander and Andrew Everett, I am sure PWG is going to want to keep him on the main roster to continue a producing matches with similar amazing spots.
