nWo Sting

[4.0] "He was never great, but he carved out a weirdly memorable niche with the nWo Sting gimmick. Solid look, decent size, but below-average in-ring work and charisma. Felt like a guy promotions wanted to do something with, but he just never clicked beyond the novelty. A footnote in wrestling history, but not a totally forgettable one."

[3.0] "Every gimmick he had sucked and was very mediocre in the ring. Low level talent with a decent look who was given numerous chances to at least stay mid card and failed."

[3.0] "Came to WCW as Cobra and was quickly destroyed by Sgt Pittman in their match at Fall Brawl when he was supposed to be the baby face (don't get that logic) and then did nothing of note until becoming nWo Sting and occasionally wandering out with the nWo for mic night. Heard he did better in Japan but I haven't seen it."

[6.0] "Damn this site is tough on nWo Sting. Sure he was not great but he was no slouch either. A satisfactory wrestler who got to show what he could do in Japan and did it admirably, where he could batter the younger and smaller wrestlers all around the ring."

[4.0] "nWo Sting/Super J really isn't as bad as some are making him out to be. He had some decent success in Japan while being pretty much nothing in WCW."

[4.0] "NWO sting or Fake Sting was not a completely terrible wrestler but compared to real Sting, he was not very good. He played his role well and got some attention in Japan which was nice but also kind of weird. Don't get the hate for this guy, maybe because he's not actually Sting."

[6.0] "I realize you have to watch a lot of 1997 and 98 NJPW TV and undercards to appreciate Jeff Farmer, but he was kinda good most of the time. He was a notch bigger and taller than the real Sting and he was pretty good at beating up on the younger and smaller Japanese talent he'd meet in the undercard. Never had a great gimmick, never had any singles matches where he was asked to shine, but his New Japan run deserves credit."

[5.0] "Seems quite unfair to rate Jeff Farmer a 2 just because of his lack of success in America (which was mainly due to creative). He was a solid worker and over as hell in Japan, he did his job and that earns him a 5"

[6.0] "This guy is very underrated. I loved the Jeff Farmer as wrestler aka. nWo Sting. Especially in Japan this guy was awesome. He was better in japan through than in america."

[6.0] "I've been watching some New Japan from the late 90's recently, and what stood out to me was that Jeff Farmer was really good in the NWO Sting role. Sadly it just never really translated over in the West, but in Japan he was a core part of the group and regularly wrestled well. He looked so much more impressive over in Japan too, looking like a monster when going up against some of the smaller Japanese wrestlers. I really think he gets a bum rap sometimes that he doesn't deserve"

[2.0] "They did so little with this, it's hard to rate. I actually kind of liked the idea, having an imposter Sting & all. But the execution was poorly carried out."

[5.0] "Jeff Farmer could work in the ring and he did his job. I don't know how people can rate him a 2. He's not an all time great, but he wasn't a poor performer or inadequate at his job. He's not incredibly memorable but when he was there, he did his job."
