[10.0] "The most evil wrestler ever and lovingly the biggest shitbag ever , truly incredible grappling and submission skills paired with a unrelenting spirit which made him one of BattlArts' best and his older work FuTen is incredible . true legend of Bati Bati and a BattlArts greats list is incomplete without Ono being mentioned"
[10.0] "What a vicious skinny bastard. Takeshi Ono stands out from a lot of shooters, plenty of dickheaded charisma from him, the baby blue gear with the combat gloves, dude had a man-bun in '96. His punches are great and fast like lightning. Although saying all that, he might be my least favorite of the Battlarts founding fathers. Ikeda, Otsuka, Ishikawa, Minoru Tanaka, Katsumi Usuda, and then Takeshi Ono. It's not that I view Ono less, it's just cause those dudes are super mega talented. But I still say Ono is one of the best ever, his matches in Team Taco are awesome, His first match with Mitsuya Nagai is a fantastic out of character babyface in peril performance, and his super in character performance against White Moriyama in Moriyama's original retirement match is sublime. I will say though, sucks that we haven't seen his final match at Futen Bati-Bati 48, him teaming with Fujita "Jr" Hayato sounds like the most brutal tag team of all time. It kinda sucks that Ono never really got shown off at a big stage like his contemporaries (barring two matches in AJPW), but I think that just adds to his mystique, that he's this dude that showed up at mid-low popular promotions, got in, punched dudes hard as hell, and left."

[9.0] "There are many things in life we should not forgive, for example allowing historic football clubs being used to sport wash murderous middle eastern regimes, my fashion sense in the early 2000's, the times and crimes of Vince McMahon, the music of Nickelback, the politics of the Tory party and the commentary of Mark Madden We need to add to that list that modern wrestling doesn't have any long limbed murderous goblins with a kink for punching their opponent in the fucking face. Viva Takeshi Ono and all who sail on the good ship Team Taco"
[10.0] "Maybe my personal favorite Battlarts wrestler behind Ikeda. Ono was a total menace in the ring, throwing straight punches and disgusting kicks constantly while putting on deep submissions just as much. He was crafty as hell too, busting out some really unique and creative combinations and constantly keeping a steady flow of action going by just throwing in a knee drop or a punch whenever he could. Above all else though, Ono was unbelievably charismatic, coming off as such a sleazy asshole with the biggest shit-eating grin whenever he was able to get a good combo in. His tag work with both Ikeda as Team Taco and Orihara as the Tompachi Machine Guns was amazing, with the Team Taco matches especially being the usual highlight of the shows they were on. Even late into his career Ono never lost a step, having awesome matches left and right in FUTEN until his final match in 2013."
