I wasn't the biggest fan of the Susan and Susie gimmicks, but she really transformed into those roles just like she does with Su Yung. In the ring she really struggles. She's not bad in a sense, just boring and uninteresting. Her character work can only take one so far and not everything she does there is a success either. Still, she's passable as Su Yung but I find her average at best."

Her Lucha Underground-type program with Rosemary did no favors for wither of them. Her work outside of Impact (especially with Fest) really shows that she's an incredibly hard worker. Love her moveset & her finishers."

Doing a gimmick like hers (or Bray Wyatts for example) in 2018 is a risky thing because everyone knows that it's not real. Sadly, she just doesn't click for me. In ring, I think she's average. Far from bad but not fantastic either. Her segment with Rosemary/Kiera/Allie at Bound For Glory was the needle that popped my balloon of trying to like the gimmick."

[9.0] "I've been a fan of Su Yung since she was called Sonia in FCW(now NXT for the informed). Su Yung was always very pretty but I can't say her in-ring stood out in FCW, so it didn't come as a shock that she was released after being there less than a year. As with most wrestlers that get released from FCW, I just assumed Su Yung would disappear from the wrestling scene altogether. To my surprise, Su Yung continued to wrestle the indies and she now has a unique character that you really have to see to believe. If having a great gimmick in "The Undead Bride" wasn't enough, Su has improved dramatically in the ring and she is able to wrestle all styles of wrestling. If you haven't watched her work yet, please do so now. She's also recently had a tryout with WWE, so her time on the indies might be coming to an end sooner than later. If Su Yung is not signed by WWE this year, I think she's a likely candidate to be chosen for the upcoming WWE Women's Tournament in 2017."
