[7.0] "On his Youtube channel, Stevie Richards picks apart matches in an honest and constructive manner, criticizes dangerous botches & provides advice to those botching as to how they can change so they won't botch next time, holds WWE accountable for poor weekly TV & is very public in taking personal responsibility for his own errors in his own career. Dozens upon dozens of people in this business & numerous human beings in general have done far worse things in their lives. I can name an endless cast of Youtubers whom are far more negative & dangerous than this guy (Jim Cornette, JD From NY, me if I was a Youtuber quite frankly). His in-ring career as a dependable mid carder wasn't particularly noteworthy, but his career as an internet personality is excellent. His passion for the business & active, open wish for young talents to be all they can be could not be more clear."

Then he was fired from DDP Yoga for running his own fitness brand on the side while on the clock and now he runs a shitty YouTube channel desperately trying to appeal to the lowest common denominator with his grift."

[7.0] "I'll only watch his time in ECW because that's all I've seen of him. He was generally pretty good; I really liked him as Raven's henchman in ECW. He was also a lot of fun to watch in the BWO. He didn't have any particularly outstanding skills, he wasn't bad, just average and enjoyable. But his in-ring psychology was something else entirely. He could do everything: comedy, serious angles, lighthearted matches, violent ones. Basically, a wild card anytime, anywhere, and with anyone."

[7.0] "Stevie Richards is the kind of wrestler you can't help but root for, even if you're not entirely sure why. With a career spanning ECW, WWE, WCW, and more, he's like the wrestling equivalent of duct tape--always there when you need him but rarely the star of the show."

[9.0] "Stevie Richards, especially during his Big Stevie Cool run, was ECW's Swiss Army knife. He could do it all. Comedy, serious angles, technical wrestling, hardcore brawling, etc. As the leader of the bWo, he turned what should have been a throwaway parody of the nWo into one of ECW's most beloved acts. Fans didn't just laugh at the bWo. They embraced it. And a huge part of that was Stevie's commitment to the bit. But even beyond the comedy, Richards proved he could go when it mattered. His matches with Raven were brutal and emotional. His rivalry with Sandman showed his toughness. And his clashes with guys like Jerry Lynn and Tommy Dreamer proved he could work a pure wrestling match and hang with the best. Stevie was never the top guy in ECW, but he was one of the most valuable. He bumped like a maniac, made everyone he worked with look good, and constantly reinvented himself to stay relevant. Whether as Raven's lackey, bWo leader, or the hardcore underdog, Stevie always understood his role and played it to perfection. His later runs in WWE and WCW didn't showcase his full range, but in ECW, he was a glue guy who helped hold the midcard together while occasionally breaking through into the main event scene. The fact that WWE didn't give him a push but he made the Stevie Night Heat & storyline with Victoria work speak volumes to his charisma. Big Stevie Cool was the best kind of utility player. He could make you laugh, make you hate him, and when it was time, make you believe in him. A true ECW workhorse and one of the smartest performers of his era."

[10.0] "One of my favourite wrestlers since I was a kid. Very good worker, charismatic performer. Got over like crazy in ECW, and was solidly in the World Championship scene before injuries and money sent him to a short lower card lower card run in WCW (many would follow him). He then had a really longterm lower card career in WWF/WWE (debuting on C-Shows, he wasn't given much of a chance). Over the years, the losses piled up and Stevie lost his potential to be a major star, but proved himself a reliable and capable performer, and he had a lot of fun matches and characters. He would go on to have runs in TNA (Dr. Stevie was a great change of character before he was dragged into an ECW revival) and Ring of Honor in his middle age (at which point he was working a safer style, but still very hardworking and in tremendous shape). On the independents, he had some solid main event runs as the Extreme Rising World Champion and for WildKat Wrestling also. The most major accolades of his in-ring career were the ECW World Tag Team Championships, the WWE Hardcore Championship (for which he was one of the better 24/7 champions), and the NWA National Heavyweight Championship. Now retired after a horrible spine infection, he has a fitness business and a very good wrestling podcast, though people who dislike criticism of WWE or AEW may not enjoy it. Still looks GREAT."

His best work was as an enhancement talent or an underneath guy who you could slot in and help work to get a guy over, he could also work as a stooge/lackey for someone like Victoria or as apart of The Right to Censor. Still, you can't deny his intelligence when it comes to wrestling and wrestling safety and I recommend anyone check out his YouTube channel where he discusses wrestling injuries, botches, and aspects of professional wrestling moves."

[8.0] "His ECW run was soo much fun! His filled the role as Raven's lackey perfectly, his tandem with The Blue Meanie where they parodied other wrestlers almost always brought comedic gold and the bWo was just tremendous, boy oh boy do i mark like a moron for the Blue World Order! We MUST mention his run with RTC, which proved he was one of the all time great mic guys. Outside of these endeavors however he was pretty much just another body/enhancement talent ... not that there's anything wrong with that. If Steven was larger and had a more dynamic in ring skill set he could have been a major player as his character & mic work left almost nothing to be desired! 5.5 rounded up. EDIT! Five point five rounded up? What was I smoking that night? The write up is the same but I will add this: I finally caught his 2003 on Heat. my goodness - he's the MAN, he can work with literally any and everyone. I gotta keep a closer eye on his work that I missed the first time. Now I give him an 8!"

Usually reserved for the crappy hardcore matches and he won the belt about 57 times in one year (I guess that's impressive to someone) and he usually accompanied his story line GF Victoria. ECW allowed guys like Richards to shine more."

[6.0] ""I'll show you... You'll see! " Kind of a shame Stevie Richards never really showed us much in WWE, but he was a heck of a character in the ring. Right to Censor aside, he was always kind of a crazy character in some way and he portrayed it well. He fit in well as Raven's right-hand man in the original ECW and had lots of charisma. His doctor gimmick in TNA wasn't all too bad either and his rivalry with Abyss was intriguing, although kinda sad. He was generally very under appreciated throughout his career, but WWE never really took him seriously, usually making him a mainstay on Heat and Velocity. Could've easily been Intercontinental or United States Champ if they tried harder to make him a character worth investing in for all viewers. Overall, a good wrestler who never quite got the appreciation he deserved."

[6.0] "Stevie was a guy who could cut decent promos and was fun in ECW as the comedic goof who'd get flashes of potential here and there: Heyman knew what he was doing because work wise, he really wasn't anything worth talking about, a fairly good hand but compared to guys like Tazz, Sabu, RVD, he really didn't have anything to stick out from them BUT those comedic roles. His post ECW career had him be basically a low card guy who could be reliably used as filler for battle royals and tag matches but was also a dab hand in singles work as well. I never really seen anything for him beyond the occasional match where he'd be carried to something better than standard by significantly stronger workers than him. Above average, but never on the point where he'd be actually considered "great"."

The BWO never did it for me & the same could be said for Right to Censor. But he still obviously had great mic skills with each group."

He was given a bit more of a chance post-ECW then others but not much of one. He promised to show us but all he showed us is how WWE could mishandle potential. Granted his potential was nothing of big note, but he could have had a bigger part in the product. Paul knew how to use the guy. Vince didn't. At least hes still getting booked in the indies."

He is one of the most underrated Wrestlers of all time."

[8.0] "Always a consistent in-ring performer with an adaptable style, working well with seemingly any type of opponent. He also had a good amount of charisma and, while best known for comedic roles (Raven's flunky, leader of the Blue World Order, Stevie Night Heat), he could also play serious roles when needed ("serious wrestler" run on WWECW; leader of Right to Censor). Still in great shape and can still go in the ring. At this point he's a veteran who would be a valuable addition to any roster."

He's an alright talent but, definitely not top of the line."
