[7.0] "My previous rating of Shun Skywalker was actually a 10 and it was less than a year from his wrestling debut but he surely has fallen off which is strange for someone with his young age"

[10.0] "My best wrestler in the word, he put me with a subscription for dragon gate, that's how important he is for me."

[10.0] "Since finally getting into Dragongate, one wrestler in particular stood out to me. Shun Skywalker has held the promotion's top title three separate times, the trios belt four times, and the tag belts once. His actual wrestling ability is immense, with some of the best high-flying I've ever seen, and a set of excellent signature moves, with the SSW and Blaster being particularly great looking finishers. His character work is on another level. His work with the Masquerade storyline is some of the best long-term faction booking I've ever seen, and the way he creeps and stalks his way around the ring is so so good. 10/10 for one of my new favourites."

[10.0] "When it comes to character work there may be no one in wresting better than shun. He seems like one of the few people in the business who truly cares about every aspect of his appearance and attitude both in the ring and outside of it. Even the stuff he post on social media is different than other guys as it feels all deliberate and very planned out to tease or give hints towards his next move or build up feuds. All this has made Shun one of the best heels going today. Not to mention being absolutely great in ring with the way he has been able to evolve his style by still keeping a lot of his high flying moves from the mochizuki dojo day while over time becoming more aggressive and bulking up physically. Its crazy to think about how much he has already accomplished with only being about 9 years into his career and not even being out of his 20s yet but I still think there are even greater heights and new ways for him to develop as he keeps cementing himself more and more as the top guy in DragonGate."

[10.0] "THE man in Dragongate. Shun has outlived expectations not only in-ring, but also in-character, as almost all of Dragongate's current scene is linked to Skywalker's past actions since 2020. Shun's development as a wrestler and a villain can be noticeable over the years: 2024 Shun, who loves disrespecting by headpatting his opponents at the start of the match like they're his dogs, is not the same guy as 2022 Shun when he started as a heel. There is the Reiwa Big Five of Kikuta, J, Yoshioka, Ben-K, & Minoura... then there is Shun Skywalker. The best heel in Japanese wrestling today, and it's not even close."

His mysterious gimmick has such an aura about him its impossible to see him as anything but an instant main eventer. Fortunately he also more than lives up to the expectations in the ring! His moves are crisp, his transitions seamless and his ability to keep the crowd hanging on his every move flawless. I watched him bring an uninterested crowd back to life and they were chanting This is awesome by the end of the match."

[10.0] "No hyperbole, Skywalker has been a strong contender for "best in the world" since 2021. Since the beginning of MASQUERADE (which in itself was one of the best factions of the decade, ) it's been career highlight after career highlight for Skywalker. Seriously, his catalog of incredible matches is pretty wild considering how short the amount of time has been since his return from his excursion in Mexico. However, that's not even the best part. Skywalker's storytelling ability and acting are some of the most engaging stuff I have seen in pro wrestling, especially considering how unique yet accessible to follow the storylines he's involved in are."

[10.0] "Shun has consistently outperformed his peers and continues to look more and more like a Dragon Gate legend. From his early days in the super stable Mochizuki Dojo to his Leadership of Z-Brats - anything of note in Dragon Gate involves Shun. He's been part of the great Masquerade falling apart, his heel turn, his surprise Dream Gate win after his excursion onto looking like the most dangerous psycho in DG. Whether he's champion, recruiting or generally gaslighting wrestlers, he's the most solid in the ring, entertaining and consistent wrestler in a long time in DG. I'd hate to see him leave but I'd love to see him get his roses outside of Japan. Of all the Mochi Dojo wrestlers, Shun is the real hidden gem and looks set to be the measuring stick for any faces in DG for the future."

[10.0] "One of the best in the world and I truly mean that. Shun caught my eye during his few months in America after many of my friends told me how good he was and they were right. Shun's character work from over the past 2-3 years is almost one of a kind. Masquerade was very fun and I wish it could've lasted longer than it did but the story was just so good. While his last Dream Gate title run wasn't as fun, this one is starting to look up after his defense against Strong Machine J. There's so much I can say about Shun - he's just very talented."

[10.0] "While it might seem like I'm hyperbolic here, it bears mention that Shun Skywalker is one of the best wrestlers on the planet today. Not only is he one of the best in-ring wrestlers right now, but there are few guys who can tell a story better than the former leader of Masquerade. He is a supreme talent"
wanderingobscurity wrote on 08.03.2022:
[10.0] "While Shun Skywalker's babyface run yielded some great matches and a very strong Dream Gate championship run - as well as his leadership of Masquerade, the coolest unit in Dragon Gate - it was his gradual heel turn and descent into madness toward the end of 2021 that has made him one of the most interesting characters in wrestling. Before then, his character work was fairly limited, and the focus was on his high flying style and ring work. But now he's a fantastic heel, complete with delusions of believing Masquerade still has a chance to reconcile even with everyone else refusing, following his betrayal of Dragon Dia and membership to R.E.D & Z-Brats. One of the best told storylines and heel turns in wrestling, and that's coupled with a ring ability that showcased two MOTYC-level matches on two consecutive nights at Kobe World 2021. Shun's got it all."

[8.0] "Shun Skywalker is finally not as incredible as I expected. After he won the Dream Gate title, I would have give him a 9 or a 10. But his Dream Gate reign is not as good as a world title run should be, especially with the level of the reigns of Yoshino, PAC or Eita. Two injuries happened in his defenses, and he has a very poor selling in my opinion. However, he did some fantastic stuff in the ring and I can't deny it, but hopefully he will become incredible again, maybe the pression of his first reign is too high so I don't want to be hard."

His match against Ishida @Champion Gate 2021 was absolutely fantastic, nothing short of a classic. He can fly, he can brawl, he can sell, fantastic look, great unit, this man has everything going for him."
