[8.0] "Im not as high on CIMA as most. His matches are very hit or miss for me personally and the way he usually structures his matches sometimes dont work for me. He typically works really slow and then has an insane ending but those ending sequences man they are insane. He has also helped build a generation of wrestlers. Incredible wrestler but some of his matches feel off to me."

[8.0] "Hate to be that guy, and especially to say someone like CIMA is overrated, great guy irl, helped build a generation of wrestlers, etc etc. However, if we really break it down his peak reign as Open the Dream Gate champion, the opponents he is facing and his contribution to those matches, it is rather clear that he is a level below the Big 6. When he is facing Shingo, BXB Hulk, Yamato, etc, they are at their peak in their career. When he faces someone that's a level below like some of the gaijins, he failed to deliver the same level of performance, especially when he needs to carry the match. Iconoclasm, Crossfire, Meteora, that's about it for the finish. realistically, he is never Tanahashi or Marufuji level. He's still good and he has some great emotional moments, so ultimately this entire assessment is pointless but it's intereswting how highly praise he is nowadays."

[9.0] "For all the negatives as his role as the HHH of Dragon Gate, you cannot fault the impact, skill and sheer cockiness of CIMA. Still wrestling today in GLEAT and putting over some new talent (finally! ) He was the original Ace of Dragon Gate following Crazy MAX in Toryumon and his Michinoku Pro days and built the super group Blood Generation with future stars Naruki Doi, Masato Yoshino and Shingo Takagi and trusted veteran Don Fujii. He carried Dragon Gate for a number of years as the mainstay and kept his favourites on top; sometimes to the detriment of future stars like Akira Tozawa. Many were not sad to see the back of him but you cannot fault the talents he bought up and the impact he had. Everyone seems to do a variant of the Meteora it seems! Check out the Super J cup in 2000 for some early CIMA and ensure you drink a Cola for CIMA!"

[8.0] "CIMA is a wild card in all honesty. He oozes charisma as the (former) Ace of Dragon Gate, but his skill level has kind of dropped in recent years. Even when he was on top there was guys on his level or even better, but he still proved time and time again he could hang. Technically proficient and has some high flying ability to the perfect degree, he not only has done so much for Dragon Gate, but left an influence on the American indie scene in the late 2000s."
Zeocrymer wrote on 15.10.2016:
[10.0] "No matter how low or high on the card he is, the simple fact is that CIMA *is* Dragon Gate. Whenever I think of the Dragon Gate style at its best, I think of CIMA. A combination of high flying spectacle and technical prowess that - bafflingly - has gotten BETTER with age. CIMA is a once in a lifetime talent who has quietly been etching himself into the grand tapestry of pro wrestling history for years now, and continues to write that story."

[10.0] "The first and probably the best student to ever come out of Ultimo Dragon's wrestling dojo, CIMA has been the go to man for Dragon Gate (and Dragon Gate USA) for a number of years and has never failed to deliver. On of the finest wrestlers in the world (on the level of Daniel Bryan and Austin Aries) he never fails to impress me every time I see him. Doesn't get nearly enough recognition for his skills."
