Gallows has carved out a special spot in wrestling because of his friendly personality and goofy sense of humor. If he were being rated as a manager or bodyguard type, I might go higher, but taking him in the context of a many time champion across the biggest brands in wrestling, I have to judge the whole set of skills."

"Very average wrestler. Luckily he has Bullet Club clout; otherwise he would have been left behind in the 2000s like Snitsky and Mike Knox."

[6.0] "Gallows is a dependable big man who has carved out a solid career as a tag team wrestler. He is not flashy or particularly dynamic in the ring, but he understands his role and plays it well. His best work has come alongside Karl Anderson, where their chemistry and timing elevate both men. He did well paired with CM Punk as well, and the Festus schtick was over for some time. Gallows lacks standout singles accomplishments and can blend into the background without the right pairing or story. However, his presence adds depth to any tag division. He is a steady hand but not a game changer"

[4.0] "Not a very good wrestler. If it wasn't for the fact he's funny and is pretty charismatic then he wouldn't have had such a successful nor long tenure in professional wrestling. Always has to be part of a tag team because on his own, he's pretty damn bad. To the point where the great Antonio Inoki had to literally come down effing and blinding for them to stop the match because it was that bad. I feel like him as "Fake Kane" would've lasted a bit longer had he actually been decent in-ring. Aside from that though, he's a very lucky man to be well liked by a lot of people and have a career in professional wrestling desptie his lack of ability as a professional wrestler."

[5.0] "A mediocre wrestler. Completely forgettable and bland with decent in-ring work, but there's nothing else to him."

[4.0] "It is quite funny that my perspective of Luke Gallows is "Oh, he's that one guy that just so happened to be there." He's been constantly carried by pretty much everyone around him, regardless of whatever promotion or stable he is in. Very obviously not a bright spot in BULLET CLUB or Elite, but hey at least he's a decent tag team with Karl Anderson, and he can be carried to pretty decent to even good matches. He is absolutely recognizable due to where he has been and has accomplished in the past 20 or so years, but it really feels more like a fluke than anything he's actually done. Still, I'll never be able to get over Festus & Jesse (Biscuits and GRAVYYYY) as well as that ungodly match in Inoki Genome Federation that led to Antonio Inoki storming into the arena to have them end the match and be applauded for it. Honestly, these two things may bring up the score because that's honestly legendary."

"Heck of a storyteller when out of character -- quite a feat, really, considering his role as purveyor of massive amounts of boredom as a worker, a career endeavor he's spent nearly two full decades fulfilling, whether it be as Festus, a straight edge acolyte, the worst member of the NJPW roster, or as the least necessary member of whatever unnecessary throwback group he's been part of over the past five years."

[3.0] "Say what you want about Gallows but you do have to respect the fact he has been absolutely stealing a living for years now. As a background heavy he is perfectly fine but do everything you can to avoid watching him in a rare singles match. In a tag match, count how many bumps he takes, you will not need two hands."

[4.0] "Luke gallows is not good, he is also not bad. I haven't seen anything offensively bad from him, nor anything particularly good. He is the wrestling equivalent of settling for your ex instead of trying for something better. He is the embodiment of grand."

[3.0] "Always made me wonder how he got hired in almost every single big wrestling promotion in the world, carny motherfucker. I guess if I had to describe him I would liken him to a modern day Kevin Nash. Minimum bumps and maximum booze afterwards brother."

[3.0] "He's not very good, but my friends and I have a game where we put an over/under on how many bumps he will take in a match. So for that reason he is one of my boys, but in reality he's a lazy wrestler that never had much going for him even when he did try."

[6.0] "Solid big guy with a history of bad gimmicks. Better as a tag guy than a singles wrestler. Has charisma but a good gimmick is required for it to show. Festus, Aces and Eights and fake Kane have all been failures because of the ideas being bad or bad booking not really on him."

[2.0] "Never been any good in the ring, had a bunch of embarrassing gimmicks, is now a totally forgotten man while back with the WWE and did nothing to justify a paycheque for his return. Don't get why anyone thinks he's cool or interesting."

[6.0] "Gallows is fun to watch, but I think being a tag team competitor suits him much more than as a soloist. Him and Anderson are a great tag team, and although I don't think they should be at the top of the mountain (except in Impact, I liked them as champs there). Gallows just looks better in a tag team, and I hope the Good Brothers never split up."

[6.0] "A more than decent fighter with a career that many of us would love to have for all the places he has fought."

[6.0] "he's not bad just average, he's overachieved, being featured in high angles from Punk, the Bullet club, with AJ in WWE and now the Elite. He clearly picked his friends well, again not bad just average, wouldn't look out of place on any indy promotion as a generic heel. I think BTS he seems like a nicer guy than Anderson and that makes him easy to root for."

[6.0] "Is pretty agile for a big guy but his in ring work has a few issues. Good tag team wrestler, average to substandard singles competitor though."

[2.0] "So boring both in ring and in promo. Some of the worst humor a wrestler has ever had. I wish Antonio Inoki would come out and prematurely end his matches every single time. I would give him a 0 but being so boring of a wrestler elevates all other wrestlers around him, thus giving him some value to an extent so I will settle for a 2."

[9.0] "Tag team specialist and really intimidating big guy. He is avg in the ring in a singles match but is really good when in tag teams. He can talk when given a chance to. He can do some fine power moves and some comedic gimmicks too."

"He is an alright wrestler with decent skills. Nothing to really care about though. He is acceptable but that? s about it."

[4.0] "Gallows is good at is acting like a monster heel at certain points during a match. However, his mannerisms are awkward, and his in-ring ability is lackluster. His tag team partnership with Karl Anderson is by far the best thing to ever happen to his career."

[3.0] "The weaker of a bad tag team. Gallows is a big man with a mean look, yet rarely comes off as intimidating. There really isn't much of an appeal here."

[3.0] "I legitimately cannot understand the appeal of this dude. Not good in the ring, painfully unfunny and obnoxious, I just don't get it. Couldn't hack it in WWE, got signed by TNA who would've signed one of Vince McMahons's literal peanut-studded turds at the time if they could, and lucked his way into Bullet Club because NJPW was bringing in any old gigantic gaijin with a modicum of name recognition. Not terrible as a tag guy I guess with the slightly less boring and obnoxious Karl Anderson but still just not very good at all. Boggles my mind that this dude has remained relevant for over ten years now. His imposing size is literally the only thing he has going for him. I guess he's just good at networking."

[5.0] "Biscuits and gravy wpuld be insanely over in 2021. The man's wrestling is not over in 2021, or ever really but he's not the worst wrestler ever"

[3.0] "An abysmal wrestler who is somehow in the position he is by being friends/tag partners with good workers. Painfully unfunny when he tries to be and just as bad in the ring. The weakest member in every iteration of Bullet Club/Elite he's been in."

[4.0] "Adequate is a perfect way to talk about Gallows. The dude looks fierce and throws punches like he's trying to knock you out. He's also a perfectly obnoxious heel (sometimes to the point of parody) and as a tag specialist has been really solid. That being said, without a partner or without a more skilled opponent, in singles action he exists and isn't outstanding in any way"

[3.0] "He can at times be entertaining as a goof but more often that not he looks clumsy and is too limited to hang with a lot of the people he's put in the ring with."

[3.0] "Gallows is trash. Always has been, from what I can tell. In NJPW he was a "monster heel" who was so tall and so large that he could easily manhandle his opposition, but he was far too slow and far too poor in his move execution to produce any offence which matched his gimmick or his strong booking. It was jarring seeing this guy treated as such a threat yet unable to produce anything remotely intimidating or impressive against any opponent. Any match this guy was in during his NJPW run was automatically ruined by the sudden drop in pace and the lack of impact delivered in the moves. That he was part of the face of the IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team division for so long is a disgrace. His reign as co-champion ruined that division, as fans were made to suffer the same low energy pacing, cheap interferences, and dull brawling sequences over and over again. He was much more of the same in WWE, relying on his attachment to AJ Styles and their faux Bullet Club stable. In AEW, he's yet more of the same. He can't bump, he can't sell, he can't maintain a coherent pace, and he certainly can't deliver any exciting offence. Gallows is where he is because he was lucky enough (or, admittedly, perhaps smart enough) to surround himself with more far interesting characters and far, far more exciting wrestlers. Take away Gallows being in the right place at the right time and this dude would have rotted away in complete obscurity."

[5.0] "Gallows is a wrestler that is just in the middle to be honest. He balances out with Machine Gun, doing some big-man stuff but he isn't the best, just nothing to most wrestling fans. He's good for tag matches but never put him in a singles match or it's mediocre to abysmally bad. Gallows is just a mediocre wrestler who doesn't have anything that makes him pop out amongst the rest."

[4.0] "While he has shown in spurts that he can be a pretty entertaining wrestler, he's never done it for me, unfortunately. Idk, I feel like Karl Anderson could have a better tag team partner."

[6.0] "Doc Gallows is far from being a technically sound wrestler, although he works well as a brawler. He's capable, but more so in a tag team, which is fine. What I really like about Gallows is that man is plain hilarious. He didn't get to showcase this much when he was with the Straight Edge Society, but I was surprised when he came back with Karl Anderson years later and he was very reminiscent of the a classic wrestling bully. He's able to throw around a trivial insult like 'nerd' and it gets a laugh frequently. His humor is expanded more in his Sex Ferguson character and he was one of the highlights for Southpaw Regional Wrestling. So, while I wouldn't compare Gallows to Daniel Bryan or Bret Hart in terms of technicality, I appreciate his humor and his tag team contributions with Anderson."

[4.0] "The weak link in the Good Brothers. Decent look and a fine hand for Anderson to bounce off of but there is nothing particularly exciting about Doc Gallows and most would struggle to identify his moveset were it showcased to them by someone else. It speaks volumes to me that since appearing in AEW he has largely been used as a resthold specialist during commercial breaks."

[5.0] "Good brothers are not bad but without Anderson hes just another big guy. His early gimmick in WWE as Festus was ridiculous and he didnt really add much to the straight edge society. Made his name in the Bullet Club."

[4.0] "Living and breathing proof that "great in Japan but misunderstood in the West" ceased to be a valid excuse the moment somebody started posting wrestling videos on the Internet. Doc Gallows is a serviceable and safe tag team wrestler, especially when he's tagging along with Karl Anderson, but that's about as far as he goes. He has no charisma or special aura about him, he thinks cutting a promo means shouting gibberish and when in singles settings he's abysmally bad. I am still struggling to understand why the WWE, loaded with talent as they were at the time, even bothered hiring back if not because Vince McMahon had become infatuated with the Bullet Club."

[5.0] "Gallows can wrestle relatively good in a tag team with Anderson behind him, but by himself? He can be average at best, and downright terrible at worst. The infamous example of his poor singles match quality was when he stunk up the joint so badly a few years back that Inoki, the owner, personally came out mid match screaming his head off and actively cancelled it while throwing a chair around. Granted, he's not usually that bad, but it's definitely a sign that he's not really made for singles bouts."

[3.0] "Bad on the microphone, too many gimmicks, was the Jannetty to Anderson's Michaels, serviceable ring tools."

[8.0] "These low ratings are from people that don't watch NJPW, because he was awesome there, sad to see what happened to him in WWE"

[5.0] "He has the size but the gimmicks were awful. From Freakin Deacon to Kane to Festus was horrible. when he was Luke Gallows it match his looks. He looks more like a bodyguard than a wreslter. His moves are decent. His best was in Japan. Doc Gallows great gimmick."

[4.0] "I've never really been fond of any of Gallows' gimmicks. As Festus... I mean... does that one even need an explanation? Him joining the Straight Edge Society felt rushed & out of nowhere. It would have been nice if they did a skit or two with Punk actually "saving" him. But instead he was just kind of there one day. But it didn't matter since he never really did anything with that role worth mentioning. TNA, NJPW, & back in WWE with Anderson... I never really liked any of it. I just see no appeal in this guy. And the "nerds" thing was very second grade."

[6.0] "A man of a thousand gimmicks, "Super Festus" has carved out a niche for himself as a tag team specialist and heavy for several high-profile stables across various promotions; notably the Straight Edge Society in WWE, Aces and Eights in TNA and Bullet Club in NJPW. On his own, Gallows is a somewhat underrated brawler and can alternately show intensity or a certain off-the-wall personality. The tag ranks will likely remain his primary forte, as he's found success with several partners and has spent the last several years teaming with fellow Bullet Club alum Karl Anderson in NJPW and then WWE."

[4.0] "I had Gallows rated a fair bit higher than this because I find him very likeable as a person but as a wrestler he is just the bare minimum acceptable big guy wrestler."

[4.0] "I give Gallows a lot of credit for surviving and bouncing back from gimmicks like Festus and Fake Kane. As a tag team wrestler, he's solid. On the mic he's passable when in the right angle (EX: Straight Edge Society & The Club with AJ Styles). As a singles wrestler, he just doesn't cut it, however. Very slow and boring which is also true in tag matches but he has 3 other guys with him to help him look good."

[6.0] "Great as a tag team worker or as part of a bigger stable. He is overall a good worker. Not a lot of people could come back stronger than ever after the Fake Kane and Festus gimmicks."

[2.0] "He was never a good wrestler in New Japan and of course in wwe. Without karl anderson, he is absolutely nothing. Very dull, uninteresting to watch. His tag team work with karl was the only thing worth watching. And even that, i am not very much impressed. His tag title run with karl wasn't very good at all. Many bullshit outside interferences, some shit storylines like the feud with The Kingdom in 2015 for example. I agree that he has some good tag matches with goto/shibata or GBH, though. In wwe, it is even worse, a total comedy jobber/lower midcarder. Overall, i am definitely not his fan."

[5.0] "Gallows has been the wringer through his time in the WWE, from debuting as Fake Kane in a truly terrible storyline then transitioning to a Of Mice and Men Lenny-esque character Festus, to then becoming a heavy for CM Punk in the Straight Edge Society. Gallows got show his stuff in NJPW with friend Karl Anderson made their name as an ass-kicking tag team as apart of the Bullet Club stable. Upon his return to the WWE, the "good brothers" followed up a solid debut program with some pretty poor booking and bland tag team matches. Gallows is never going to be anything special in the ring but he has a weird charisma that comes out with Anderson. The Club's booking has been stop/starts, and it's clear they aren't meant to be a comedy team (the Old Day segment) but ass pure ass kickers they can regain lost momentum in 2017."

[1.0] "Big LG has to be one of my favorite wrestling personalities outside the ring - every time he appears on a podcast it's a must listen. He isn't very interesting to watch in the ring though, he's really never had a memorable singles match & his tag work w/ Machine Gun is pretty spotty at best."

[5.0] "A big man who comes off like either a buffoon or a bad comic. His reputation of being so over in New Japan has not impressed me. I find him and his tag partner Anderson completely generic and boring with bad comedic timing. I think this guy would have done better in ECW back in the day."

[8.0] "Gallows is tall and big, but moves pretty quick for a guy his size albeit he is not technically sound in the ring. He hits hard, just like a brawler, and could go in the ring whether as a singles or tag team competitor."

[5.0] "Gallows never impressed me. He was always bland in the ring, always had slow-paced momentum in matches, even for a giant and changed shitloads of gimmicks in the meantime. The only good run he had was in NJPW, but that was about it. Still pretty solid for a brawler though."

[8.0] "Seeing him as Festus and Fake Kane was horrid, but the change to Luke Gallows has made him more interesting in my opinion, I love the Bullet Club and wouldn't know about it wouldn't it be for him and A. J. Styles, Thanks to him I see a lot of other names I haven't heard of before, his stint in WWE is not as good as it's supposed to be, and I believe he only has 5. 19 currently because of that stint, he truly deserves more than that."
