[6.0] "Final Edit? First and foremost without mincing words, he was much better suited for territories as opposed to the national spotlight of the WWF. By the time he joined the WWF, he became very large and even slower and he was never fast moving to begin with. Mostly Ron Bass is a guilty pleasure type of wrestler for me, was a heck of a promo but could be rather boring once in the ring (also, he was a better promo in the territories). Never really "did much" but I enjoy the team with Black Bart (even if they totally stole the 'Long Riders" moniker). I also liked the "carving up Brutus Beefcake" angle & feud fine enough. Sometimes he looked out of place but sometimes he was right where he needed to be, it depended on any number of variables. Some say he "invented the pedigree" but it was more like the prototype for the maneuver, a bit far from the finished product. In many ways, its hard to explain why exactly I like Ron Bass, some of his stuff can be awful ... maybe it's his eyes (like staring into a beautiful lake). 5.5"

[5.0] "Outlaw Ron Bass was a fine mid card heel. He had the brawling cowboy gimmick that was familiar, and he played it well. He didn't have a lot of memorable singles matches or feuds for me in his career. Not very familiar with him on the mic"

[5.0] "Had a mean look and had the size in the WWF. A plus note was that he used Triple H's pedigree as a finisher without hooking the arms. Spent his WWF tenure wrestling lower-level guys like Scott Casey, Lanny Poffo, Jerry Allen, Sam Houston, Koko B. Ware, Hillbilly Jim, Brady Boone, Outback Jack, and Tito Santana. Never really was interested much in Ron Bass besides that he used the pedigree and whooped his opponents with a bull-rope."

[4.0] "Yet another brawling cowboy gimmick. Lower mid card heel who spent his time fighting guys like Sam Houston and Koko B Ware. His biggest achievement in the WWF was screwing Beefcake out of the IC title. Brutus eventually won the feud and Bass left a few weeks later. Perfect for the territory days, did not stand out in the big leagues."
