He worked mostly behind the scenes in Stampede Wrestling, occasionally stepping into the ring and also serving as a referee, booker, and part-time trainer. His strengths leaned more toward the operational and promotional side rather than being a standout performer. He was reliable and knowledgeable -- a steady hand in a family of big personalities -- but his contributions were always more background than headline. He played a role in keeping Stampede running during turbulent times and helped with the development of some younger talent. Still, there's not much that stands out about Ross on a broader wrestling scale. He didn't hurt the legacy, but he didn't move it forward much either"
