[1.0] "It must be said, this is a true example of wrestling nepotism. Rolles is carried by the Gracie name and legacy, and it's the only thing that really gets him a reaction from the crowd. My understanding is that he was a pretty poor MMA guy, but his pro wrestling is definitely extremely weak. He just works a BJJ-based shoot style, which is what you'd expect but that doesn't make it any good, and when he's not in there with a seasoned MMA guy opponent, it breaks apart really quickly. He also has no real charisma and no energy, lumbering around like a stiff in the ring, and only looks mildly imposing - and mostly just recently-reanimated."

[1.0] "Since I cannot rate the tag team of David and Rolles Gracie as a unit, I picked what I've always felt was the worse of the duo, which is truly something. This guy is the living and breathing proof that a highly successful background in full contact sports and martial arts is not an automatic guarantee of being a remotely passable pro-wrestler, and even with the NJPW training system behind him Rolles Gracie always looked like he had absolutely no clue about what he was doing: he could literally not wrestle at the level expected out of a rookie with zero experience. On top of this NJPW did him no favors as everybody knew the promotion was just aiming for a quick payoff by pitting him against Kazushi Sakuraba to cash on the their martial arts rivalry. One point for one reason alone: he wrestled 4-5 matches before cashing in his check and going back to what he really knows how to do instead of staying around and stinking rings worldwide."
