[7.0] "Edited for embellishments: Evergreen fixture in Mid Atlantic; always there, maybe he wasn't doing much but he was always there. Notable tag team work, especially the thoroughly enjoyable pairing with Sgt. Slaughter. Perhaps invented "the cannon"; where one man holds his opponent up as if to deliver a back suplex or atomic drop and his teammate comes down with a clothesline. High caliber promo skills and that was probably his strongest suit. Heel or face, he was a solid hand for the territory and anytime he seemed to get boring or stale, he knew how to mix his character up enough to stay fairly fresh. 6.75 rounded up."

"I had to come here after seeing that Don was rated #5 most underrated wrestler after 1984 in the Wrestling Observer. Must have been highly regarded back in the day."
