[8.0] "I will always have a soft spot for "Shaska" no matter what or where. Out freakin standing promo artist, hot damn was he dynamite. One of THE great underrated mic guys - recommended on that front. It's a joy watching him slowly rise in the ranks of the territory system. In Crockett he had a nice trajectory from 84 to 86, then for who knows what reason - the rug was pulled from under him and he never got "it" back. The Jive Tones will always keep me entertained but they never got the on screen time the duo deserved. Vince then hired him and he was firmly placed as enhancement talent, he did the best he could with the role and excelled when against super heavyweights (specifically Typhoon of all people). His career closing enhancement work in WCW was fine if totally unremarkable. I wonder what his career would have been like had his role in Crockett not been so harshly cut down, well that and if he was about 4 or 5 inches taller. "CUZ I BEAT UP ON HILLBILLIES EVERY DAY! He was also known as Pistol Pee Pez Whatley, because of his 90 WWF run and all of his WWF matches were piss-break unless he fought someone else on his own status. Return to Altana in 1996 and was also used as a jobber there. Retired in 1999 and sadly died in early 05 from a heart-attack. RIP Pez Whatley"

Also memorable in Florida, USWA, WWF and WCW. He was great at takedowns, clobbering and holds. A legend for sure in Tennessee."
