[4.0] "Rating on his stint as the Berzerker. Well, at least we will never forget him! And of course his catchphrase. Even my wife knows the glory of HUSS!"

[4.0] "Original Comment left on March 17th, 2023: *sigh* "He's not the "real" Barbarian." is what I would and always will say, even if he probably had the name first. Looked awesome but his work was underwhelming and most of the time he feels like a waste of someone else's opportunity. The territory work is noticeably lousy at times and he could be a real detriment to the product, no matter where he went. For some ironic ~ moronic reason I like "Yukon John Nord" though, so there's a whiff of "saving grace". Soon enough, he became a Bruiser Brody tribute (done with permission at least) and this direction defined his career. Even though the WWF gave him a "new" character in "The Berzerker" he was HUSS! HUSS! still just HUSS! HUSS! paying homage HUSS! HUSS! to his buddy who left us tragically. There are worse but there are no recommendations here. EDIT! After watching his whole career unfold he earns some points. Where he TRULY SHINES is late 1991, he really went for it right here. 4.25"

[4.0] "The only thing he was good at was the way he could portray being a bad guy. What helped him a lot was his height at 6"8. He would have had a bigger push a monster heel but did not go anywhere. Very tall, lanky guy that had no fighting style. He was boring in the ring. Nord the Barbarian was a great gimmick, the Berzerker was terrible. A skinny viking showing off and had nothing. He was treated badly in WCW as a jobber come on! I thoguht he was a hard worker. When I watched a youtube interview of him he was very funny and seemed to be a very nice guy to have a conservation with."

[5.0] "Throughout his career John Nord benefited from gimmicks that emphasized his size and appearance - usually seeing him cast as a Viking or a lumberjack - and was solid enough in the ring to make them work. After working prominently in the AWA and NJPW, he had his most famous run with the WWF as the Berzerker, which was relatively short but quite memorable with his chants of "huss! " and reliance on throwing opponents out of the ring to pick up countouts. After leaving the company and touring with AJPW he resurfaced for a last run under his given name in WCW, but without one of his gimmicks to play the run unfortunately amounted to little."
