[7.0] "Make no bone about it: his work in NJPW and SWS is truly excellent. He was a great cruiserweight. But after he joined UWF-I he became what I call a "whatever" wrestler. I don't know exactly what went wrong: perhaps his body was already wearing out or perhaps he went Inoki-crazy and couldn't decide if he wanted to be a pro-wrestler or an MMA fighter or perhaps it was just me growing tired of shoot style rather quickly. His long NOAH run was good but below expectations: Sano delivered solid performance after solid performance but it always felt like that something was missing. At this point it was clear he was a good wrestler, sometimes even a great one, but he surely was not a phenomenon like Jushin Liger."
