[4.0] "I gotta respect the man for going through with what he was given, but that will not stop my rating. His entire gimmick was that he is a gay nerd that was a manager for the tag team "The Johnsons" who were dressed up to look like exactly what their name is."

[2.0] "This manager represented gay panic before the whole world woke up to it. Mortimer apart of the Johnsons which was the worst looking team. Awful television next to by far the worst manager in TNA history category. He can carry a match but cannot make it entertaining in a good way. Maybe he was a nice guy but AJ Styles didnt need him as a manager. Killer cricket bat though."

[6.0] "Mortimer Plumtree is mostly known for his work as a manager on early TNA. He also worked as a road agent for the same company until mid 2003. His work as a manager was entertaining, as he played the role of a nerd heel quite well. At first, he was managing the infamous Johnsons, but at least it lasted only a couple of shows, cause that gimmick was horrible. Then he begun to appear on some X Division matches, scouting talent to manage. First he made a deal with Ace Steel, but that didn't last long, and then moved on to manage AJ Styles. Following his trend, he didn't played that role for a long time, but a least he had a funny confrontation with Jerry Lynn, who call him nerd. After AJ joined the heavyweight title scene he left Plumtree and we didn't see much more of him on the PPVs. On his last appearence he did some annoucing, replacing Borash and at the end of his last show they showed a message thanking him for his services. He was a decent talker and his segments were good, it's a shame he left the wrestling business so early, because he could have more better things and continue improving."

[7.0] "Plumtree was given a lot of wrestlecrap to work with in TNA (most infamously The Johnsons), but he was actually pretty good as an arrogant nerd heel manager. Pity his run didn't last longer."

[7.0] "After kicking around the indy scene for the better part of a decade, Mortimer Plumtree found his most prominent run when appeared as a manager in the earliest days of NWA-TNA. After a few false starts managing the Johnsons and Ace Steel - all of whom were released after a few shows - Plumtree got his most prominent role as manager of AJ Styles in 2002, who was just moving into a featured role. A good talker, Plumtree brought a lot to his "rich nerd" character, and could have become a truly standout manager. Unfortunately, the run would be short-lived - Plumtree was also working behind the scenes as a road agent, and - allegedly - was caught in the middle of backstage politics, which led to his departure from TNA in early 2003. He only appeared in wrestling a handful of times on the indies before hanging it up for good in 2005. Had he stuck around TNA, he easily could have been a major asset in helping to get talent over in the fledgling company."
