[6.0] "Feels like it's feast or famine with Mina. She's had some great matches, particularly with Mercedes in recent memory, but she has some atrocious clunkers as well. Feels like she has slowed down quite a bit in just a year or so, and even though I find her charming, the cartoonish and fan service aspects of her character can be a bit much."
[6.0] "She's regressed a lot since the formation of the Timeless Love Bombs. Before TLB, whenever she'd come out, I knew I was in for a passionately performed, physically impressive bout. Now, she leans into the hokey comedy stuff way too much & her ring skills have become fairly botchy & inaccurate at times. I'd love to see them put her in situations where she can get a belt & be a force to be reckoned with, because she is capable of those things."
[7.0] "Mina Shirakawa stands out for her charisma, confidence, and presentation. She feels like a star the moment she walks out. In the ring, she's solid and dependable but not a match-stealer, often needing the right opponent to hit another level. Best suited as a strong upper-midcard presence rather than a pure in-ring ace."
[8.0] "She's just a super likeable wrestler. Her work with Toni Storm has been very entertaining to watch and I hope she does get a singles push. Loved her work in stardom too."
[4.0] "Mina Shirakawa, as a wrestler, puts me such in the mind of Hulk Hogan. And I think, to many modern-day wrestling fans, that's a major insult but I don't mean it as one. I mean it in the sense of: Mina has an incredible sense of charisma and even majesty about her when she does promos or makes an entrance... but when she gets in the ring, the match is going to entirely depend on her opponent's ability and the booking because Mina can only do so much. It isn't as if I find her work in-ring offensive, but I've also never found anything of note there either. It sounds like I don't like her, but I truly do enjoy seeing her on my TV and she's fantastic at working her gimmick... just a little underwhelming in-ring, in comparison."
[8.0] "Yet another babyface in AEW that just comes across as so naturally likable. She's fit in great from the second she came over and her Stardom work is extremely fun as well."
[9.0] "I'm going to rate Mina based on the work I've seen on her both before AEW, and in the present day. Mina began her career remarkably late, especially for a joshi wrestler, with her first match taking place just after she'd turned 30. Despite this, she managed to get over with the crowd, prove that she could be a damn good singles wrestler when she wanted to, and worked her way up to taking a run at Saya Kamitani, who was about three-quarters of the way through her incredible run with the white belt. She got injured, of course, but somehow this injury inspired her to become even better of a wrestler, levelling up her game, incorporating the Figure Four into her moveset and casually transforming into one of STARDOM's best babyfaces overnight. In more recent times, she's slotted into the role of Timeless Toni's tag partner, and this is honestly the best thing for her at the moment. One thing I do really dislike about her current presentation is that people have forgotten just how good she is at having balanced, layered matches and telling a great story through them, which is something I've always liked about Mina. Regardless, it's clear that she's having a lot of fun in AEW, and I truly wish her the best as she deserves nothing less than that."
[8.0] "She started wrestling fairly late but in a short period of time she became one of the most entertaining wrestlers in the business, in 2022 she became a really good technical wrestling culminating in one of my favorite matches ever her match against Saya Kamitani at the 2023 All Star Grand Queendom show, I know a lot of fans recently know her for her comedy antics but she's a legit good wrestler, her strikes are legit and she's one of the few wrestlers that actually does good limb work that plays into the finish of her matches"
[10.0] "you know damn well why im rating her a 10. she can put on solid matches, such as both her matches with toni, but honestly you know damn well why so uhhh, yeah she got a good entrance and she is very entertaining got that amazing live show charisma"
[1.0] "If she spent as much time worried about her wrestling as she did her shimmy she might be halfway decent. An ok look (although it feels like this is the exact look of at least 5 other japanese womens wrestlers already) but her in ring is clunky and very charisma based rather than actual talent and athleticism. Fluidity lacks as she has trouble often making things flow naturally. Hits the ropes poorly. Probably too old to get much better at this point."
[8.0] "Imma be honest, wasn't big on her in 2021, but seeing how she progressed with her technical prowess and execution throughout 2022/2023 and later getting over with American crowds made me change my whole thought about her. She's the hottest Japanese female performer in the USA right behind Iyo Sky. She's fun, charismatic, tough, intense, charming, she can go on the ring, she can speak english and she's ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL, you got your next big star from Japan in Mina Shirakawa. She's a perfect Babyface to market. Get it done"
[9.0] "Everything I look for in a female talent especially a babyface a fun and exciting talent. She has improved drastically in her workrate which early on was her only weakness. Her vs Athena proves she deserves a top of the card position on any show and hopefully we keep seeing her since she is paired with Toni Storm."
[9.0] "I hope Mina is very proud of what she has become, she has everything and keeps on improving day-by-day, to see how much she grew on many people tells about how incredible Mina is. It's really rare to instantly love a wrestler like that, but with Mina it felt so natural, i'm absolutely rooting for her on any show, ple or whatever"
[9.0] "I think that people who gave Mina a poor rating a while ago should reconsider their rating now because Mina has become quite an impressive wrestler since resigning with AEW. She has been putting on great matches and has been wrestling very consistently across different promotions. With Mina you have a unique presence, very strong charisma, good striking and submissions and solid fundamentals that lay the groundwork for exciting matches. Even her promo work is better than many native speakers."
[9.0] "Mina grew on me real quick. Amazingly charismatic, great in the ring, just an all around rock-solid talent. Hope she has a bright future on both sides of the Pacific."
[10.0] "Mina Shirakawa is hands down one of my all-time favorite wrestlers. Her run in Stardom was nothing short of phenomenal, constantly evolving, full of heart, and packed with unforgettable moments. She's got one of the coolest gimmicks in the game, blending glam, confidence, and intensity in a way that feels totally authentic. Her charisma is off the charts. From the second her entrance music hits (which, by the way, is an absolute banger, makes you want to get up and dance with her), she instantly grabs the crowd's attention. Whether you're watching live or on screen, it's impossible not to be drawn in by her presence. In-ring, she keeps getting better and better. Her technical style, especially her smart focus on the legs, adds a really fun and layered dimension to her matches. It's always entertaining to watch her work, she mixes flair with psychology in a way that makes every move feel purposeful. And honestly, she 100% deserves a major title and a strong, meaningful reign. Mina has proven time and again that she can carry a division, not just with her talent, but with her energy, connection to the fans, and undeniable star power. She's more than ready to be the face of a promotion. Mina's journey, growth, and dedication to her craft make her one of the most exciting names in wrestling today. She's not just good, she's special. Can't wait to see what the future holds for her."
[9.0] "To be honest, I knew her by bikini modeling before wrestling, but once i saw her wrestle, I thought "DAMN! This is 1 tough model! " Mina is without a doubt a great wrestler and has a sweet personality that belies her toughness. She even was able to pull strings for a bikini match in Japan, which is not something i expected, but enjoyed. Mina just has some factor that makes her hard to dislike. Like other joshi, she can kick butt and make it look severe despite wrestling matches being worked. She's getting to the part-time era of her career as she gets older and seems to be making her home AEW until she does finish her career, but until she retires, I will make sure to keep an eye on what she does. Maybe we'll see her as a HOF competitor in some echelon of Japan or wrestling. If so, she's deserved it."
[8.0] "#Wewant(ed)Mina. What wrestler makes you smile every time you see them? I was a mid-range early adopter. When Guilia left Stardom (the way she did) my heart was broken. I thought I would never love again. Then, I saw Mina. After that I have increasingly cherished the energy Mina brings. Every room she walks into comes alive. As far as ring skills, she's advanced so fast. But she is a polished Joshi product. That means something. She's more hardcore than you'd give her credit for. And she's one of the hardest working, most generous talents I've ever seen. Man, she was near the end of her Stardom contract, I caught her between matches, with a wretch in her hand. Not as a gimmick. She was tightening the ring. That's Mina. Japanese 90's Tokusatsu. Mina is my Salsa dancing Sailor Cutie Honey Moon deshou? Mina, don't change a thing and even if you change your music, keep yourself the same. Don't let America change you, faster than you can change it. And us. We needed you Mina. Don't change a thing."
[7.0] "She's slightly above average ish in the ring, on the whole? I think that's pretty accurate. She is extremely charismatic. Yes, part of her charisma stems from being almost unfairly good looking, but there have been plenty of beautiful wrestlers nobody cares about. She has flair/charm/personality in spades. That's what sets her apart on the charisma front."
[8.0] "From one performer that didn't do a lot for me, to one of my favorite. How she improved since she joined STARDOM is amazing and she took a main eventing sopt by herself. Great entertainer, great performer."
[9.0] "Mina is much more then her good looks, she can go in the ring. Her styles fits her perfectly and it seems she can branch out into other styles. She has natural charisma and adapted very quickly to the American and British style of wrestling and I would hope that Tony see's that (assuming she goes to AEW when her contract is up with Stardom). I quite enjoy her and I think she got a lot of people (if she didn't already) with her match with Mone at Wrestle Dynasty. Overall Mina is great and it's good she is finally getting the credit she deserves, she has a great styles, uses her good looks to her advantage and the crowds seem to love her. Shame she started her career late but she has grown quickly into the star she was meant to be."
[8.0] "Really, the only downside Mina has is that she started her career so late. I mean, can you believe she only started her career back in 2019 at age 32 (same year AEW started) and is already 37 now? That's kind of crazy. Regardless, she's absolutely beautiful in terms of looks alone, but on top of that she quickly became very talented and had at least a few good years left in her. She's actually very good at playing either a heel or a face. The only sad thing is that she probably already has only a few years left in her career due to such a late start, but regardless, I have to give her credit for what she's already accomplished and all the memorable matches she's managed to put on in such a short timespan."
[8.0] "Mina besides from glamorous looks can go in the ring! She has energetic vibe surround her can goes for a technical style that catch you off-guard with hard-hitting strike on top of that! Great to see Mina whenever she's on screen cause its a treat!"
[7.0] "Not a great wrestler but also not a bad wrestler, Mina is fine in-ring. However, she brings energy, and entertaining character work, she is a very fun performer to watch, and that's the thing, she is an amazing performer and an average wrestler. She is also very pretty (not factoring that in to the rating)."
[6.0] "Overrated these days. Not a bad wrestler at all, but not the wrestler AEW fans make her out to be either. Well, i don't think AEW fans care much about her wrestling anyway, more about how she looks unfortunately. She's become very cringe since going to the US more and i can only hope that she decides to let her contract run out at Stardom and join AEW full time, because i have no interest in seeing Mina anymore, which is a shame because from 2020-2023 i actually liked her quite a lot"
[7.0] "I really like her, solid wrestler and a very likeable character. The thing that ruins it for me is how fans sexualise her a lot, I know that she uses her sex appeal herself and Im not entirely against female wrestlers using sex appeal. But Its similar to how I feel about Rhea Ripley fans, I want to focus on her wrestling & other in ring abilities but people just reduce her down to sexy Japanese woman. Because shes very pretty but she is actually talented & can go in the ring."
[9.0] "Good but not great wrestler. Basically all of her matches consist of working the legs, which is fine because its well executed but it gets repetitive. She definitely makes it up with her huge personality. Insanely entertaining. Whether its in Stardom or AEW, she always gets your attention because of her natural charisma"
"From the moment I started watching Stardom last year, I was hooked by Mina Shirakawa. Even though I don't like the sexualized aspect of her persona, I think she's a very good storyteller, and an amazing underdog: her road to the White Belt was really touching, from the struggles she had to get to the top, being in Tam Nakano's shadow, to finally realizing her dream and ending Saya Kamitani's (very lackluster) reign. It felt genuine, what wrestling has desperately needed. If only her reign lasted longer... She's definetely not the best in the ring in Stardom, but she definetely stands out in their roster. I'm almost certain AEW will sign her before 2025, and even though I hate the idea as it may just kill her career immediately, considering her age, that's probably the best thing that can happen to Mina."
[7.0] "Mina has improved by leaps and bounds in the past couple of years to the point where she's a credible upper-midcard/main event wrestler in Stardom. She's also somebody who has international appeal, owing to the fact that she just oozes charisma and on-screen presence. I still think she needs to step up her workrate to be a truly elite wrestler, but she has everything else that she needs. Mina seems very driven and could be a huge star."
[10.0] "Mina Shirakawa is a next level performer, her moves in the ring are smooth, she is so charismatic. The matches over this weekend alone show the level of performer that she is. She's talented, she's personable. I'm excited to see where she goes with her career. She is a great wrestler and a great entertainer."
[6.0] "Mina Shirakawa has improved so much, from being a pretty face in wrestling to somebody who can actually wrestle and put on a good match is a true testament to her as a performer. Still, I can't really rate her higher than a 6 because she's not incredible and is clearly below the level of somebody like Mayu Iwatani, but it's unrealistic to expect all Joshi wrestlers to be on that level."
[9.0] "One of the most entertaining and exciting wrestlers in Stardom today, she may never be the world champion. But her storytelling and work rate make you cheer for her. Massively improved in a short time since she first joined and formed Cosmic Angels. Since then has held multiple titles, formed her own faction and is seen to be a main vent talent. Very popular among fans worldwide, I look forward to seeing what's in store for her in 2024."
[8.0] "For me to get invested in a wrestling promotion, I need at least one worker that really captures my imagination. When I was getting back into WWE as an adult in 2011, it was CM Punk. When I heard that Punk cut a crazy shoot promo at All Out 2022, he got me back into wrestling and watching AEW. And now that it's easier to branch outside the American mainstream than ever before and I'm more willing to branch outside the American mainstream than ever before, Mina is that worker for me when it comes to Stardom. She clearly feels comfortable performing her gimmick mannerisms, doing crowd work, and simply moving around the ring in a way that honestly outclasses all of her peers within Stardom with the exception of, like, Giulia. I don't know if that comes from her previous work as a gravure idol or what, but what I do know is, for my money, it makes her work easily the most natural-feeling and watchable on any given Stardom show. Stardom in general just doesn't really click with me as I have a very difficult time wrapping my head around the "idol performance" vibe they are going for, so I would love to see her come over to AEW or DPW or something on a brief (6 month - 1 year) excursion to see how she performs in an environment with a presentation I enjoy. As it stands, I am BEGGING Rossy to put the Red Belt on her. Not that I expect her retirement to come any time soon as she's currently not even close to 40, but that's the bare minimum of what she deserves before she decides to hang up the boots."
"I am looking forward to watching more Mina Shirakawa matches and getting to know her style. I have a few Stardom Talents I would like to see more of and she is one of them."
[7.0] "Ever since I started watching STARDOM, I always saw the potential of Mina Shirakawa. She always displayed some amazing psychology and character work, and last year she improved A LOT, not only in the aspects I mentioned, but especially when it comes to the in-ring work. I'm really eagering to see how she'll work with her next storyline of having to crawl all the way back up to the top after losing her White Belt to Tam Nakano, 'cause let me tell you, she really knows how to make a story dramatic and interesting. I can only see her getting better and better with time. 7.5/10"
[6.0] "She's very limited in-ring, and have some of the most botched matches ever, and she has one of weakest improvements of latest batch in Stardom, that's for real. But she's make very well her role as a crowd master. She's very popular, have a very peculiar beauty, and it's the best with the mic. But, I don't see her like a individual top-tier name, she's far lower on skills in comparison with the big names, even with some of middle-card names. She could be great as a transitional champion from times to times, and works a lot better on tag division. Not being rude, but, she have more fan heat than wrestling skills to show. 6 for her, but, don't get me wrong, I really like to see her on the ring, not on a overestimated way, just like she really could done. Stardom just gives the crowd what they wanted making Mina the new White Belt champion, makes a moment more like "sports entertainment" than "pro-wrestling""
[10.0] "Mina Shirakawa has been wowing me ever since her last 5GP run. You can tell how much she has improved ever since. Her white belt reign is off to an excellent start."
[10.0] "Mina become on of the most interesting stars in Stardom this year, her progress and in-ring skills grow up and now from the woman that I think just not a bad storyteller she became one of my favourites.UPDATE:Mina became a great wrestler which is now one of the best Stardom's top players, great macthes, great character and her own stable finally made her one of my favourites, so happy for her."
[10.0] "Original comment (16.10.2022): Mina is certainly the main progress of this year, but I really love her matches since the end of 2020, when she first showed a very cool match with Momo, that controlled the audience and seemed very correct and interesting. Shirakawa was still not an ideal employee, she was looking for herself, and basically her good work depended heavily on the opponent's experience, and because of this she had an extremely mediocre match with Unagi Sayaka, but mostly she was just very stable, and developed even faster than Kamitani. But 2022 was a year of crazy progress, and she was my MVP of the recent tournament with Hazuki, her matches were interesting, variable, and she very suddenly mastered strikes and technical stuff, and the endings of her matches are almost as cool in terms of tension as Keiji Muto's, and this is an amazing result for a person who started her career at an age when many women are already retiring. I can consider myself an enjoyer of Mina, and I'm pleased to see how more and more people are convinced that she is awesome, and this is doubly amazing, remembering how some people a year and a half ago constantly underestimated the ratings of her matches, mentioning that she is a former gravure model, as if her previous experience, and also, natural beauty should negatively affect the current course of events. It's possible that Shirakawa got her job because of the external data and because she was suitable for Nakano and her conceptual stable, but it's silly to deny that she is trying in a way that probably no one else has tried in her place. UPD: She was able to become even better and achieved success, which a year ago I couldn't even think about. Perhaps Mina Shirakawa is the best performer of all who debuted in wrestling after 30."
[9.0] "For a long time, people continued to refer to Mina as an engraving model who is not so good at wrestling and can only help Stardom with her popularity on social networks. But this 5STAR has changed it decisively. I don't thing it's even nessesary to explain why Mina's 5STAR Grand Prix 2022 run is so great. The fact as right now she seems the biggest star after it, even thought she got just 10 points, is enogh. She is awesome right now and keeps on killing it on every single show. If she keeps her leg targeting on a permanent basis, I will definitely give her a 9 very soon."
[10.0] "Mina has improved leaps and bounds since her debut in Best Body Japan. Proving that she is not just a bikini model, she improved her skills inside and outside the ring for years in BJJ and kickboxing, which she shows off in all of her matches. Now breaking out as the leader of Club Venus, in the two Wonder of Stardom title matches, she proves that looks can kill. Her new finisher, Figure Four Driver, is the most unique move we have seen in years. Even she started late in her career, she will shine the brightest in Stardom."
"Mina Shirakawa is just wonderful. She isn't an elite top tier in-ring performer, but she's really freaking good in the ring. Her presentation and personality is also so fun and entertaining. Club Venus is the perfect faction to showcase her character and elevate her status as one of the most prominent wrestlers of Stardom."
[9.0] "The hottest Joshi of all time! Some people seem to think that means she cannot be a good pro-wrestler for some reason? Anyways; I am rating late 2022/2023 Mina a 9/10. She is a brilliant wrestler, extremely entertaining, absurdly charismatic with the look of an absolute superstar. She had a cool move-set in TJPW but in Stardom she has modified and added to her repertoire with some awesome strikes, a submission game and a top-tier new finisher. I am really happy people are seeing her as 'improved' recently. Though, for me, it's just as much a case of Mina altering her wrestling style so much that it is unrecognisable to when she first appeared in Stardom. One of my favourite wrestlers for sure! Her entrance music is one of the best as well."
[8.0] "One of the most improved wrestlers of 2022, one of the most charismatic wrestlers in Japan, sadly now they are trying to sell her as a pseudo heel with all this bullshit of Club Venus, that was only created to kill her momentum and popularity what she gained with her injury promo, that was one of the Best babyface promos of last year. Now relegated as a "manager" because instead of looks like The leader of the other 2 members, she is basically the presentator, i hope this CV crap finish soon because it's only killing Mina popularity with Japaneses."
[8.0] "Mina was one of the most improved in 2022. It's going to be an interesting 2023 with her as a leader of her own faction, and her rematch with Saya Kamitani for the white belt in the future."
[10.0] "Trying to strike a balance between how much you like someone vs how actually good they are, can be tough in these ratings. So on this occasion, I'm going to throw all that away and go purely on favouritism. Don't get me wrong, Mina is a very good (and underrated) as an in ring wrestler but she's not 10/10. However, she's so entertaining as a character with such obvious dedication and passion that I have enjoyed watching her to an irrational level from the moment I saw her. Makes every match worth checking out because you'll always get good wrestling from a naturally likeable and engaging babyface and you're also fairly likely to get some funny comedy hijinks on top of that"
