Tyler Breeze

[7.0] "My rating might be a little biased because Tyler Breeze was my favorite wrestler back in 2016, 17, 18. I don't know why. He was one of the founding fathers of NXT, and made it legit. He was always such a colorful and flashy wrestler, he could have been massively over but was never used in the correct way in my opinion. He was taken as a bit of a comedy act on the main roster with the Fashion Police, but he was sneaky good. Seeing him at NXT Homecoming got a big pop out of me because (not to sound weird) he has a special place in my heart, reminds me of simpler days. W wrestler overall"

[7.0] "Very solid wrestler and one of those people that is a great creative mind backstage as well. Always felt like he was innovative."

[5.0] "I've never gotten the hype about Tyler Breeze, aside that he can wrestle, I just found the selfie gimmick and The Fashion Police to be very lame. Can't say they were objectively bad gimmicks since he clearly made them work, they're just not for me."

[7.0] "A shockingly good wrestler. Due to his prolonged tenure as a part of Fashion Police, I brushed him off as a comedic act only. But even if his gimmick is a bit rough and certainly not gold material, he is still a solid worker."

[6.0] "When the revamped NXT was first starting out, Tyler Breeze was one of those guys that people thought had a lot of potential. His gimmick was pretty good, in-ring he was good, thought he was really suited for WWE due to them loving a smug, self-loving heel. I just don't think they knew what to do with him when he jumped to the main roster. His gimmick was good, but there was obviously a ceiling. They would never have made him a world champion, his gimmick was midcard at best. The moment they stuck him with Fandango and they became the Fashion Police, was the beginning of the end for him in my opinion. He became a comedy wrestler, whilst that's important in a promotion, I just felt somebody of his talents deserved more. They clearly saw him as nothing more than somebody who could make some people chuckle and still put on a decent-ish match. Such a shame, he really did have potential but was stuck in a comedy gimmick and didn't really find anything that would push himself further than the Prince Pretty thing."

[9.0] "He is the best. Breeze is just the best. If you don? t respect his gimmick or his work. Respect what he has done for wrestling. All of the talent he has and is training. For example Chris Danger."

[8.0] "A lot to like about Tyler Breeze. Was great with his gimmicks and hilarious when asked to do comedy. Was very good in the ring. Was not being given good materials on the main roster early on."

[7.0] "Very talented in the ring and on mic. He was really great as a whole back in NXT, he has a really cool moveset, and in the main roster I truly believed he could? ve been IC/US champion material if it wasn? t for that god awful gimmick of his.. gimmicks like that get you nowhere, especially with a CEO like Vince McMahon. The Fashion Police thing he had with Fandango was entertaining for about 2-3 weeks before it was milked really hard and they were forgotten again"

[7.0] "I never really understood Tyler Breeze until I saw him in 2014-2015 NXT, he was booked great and looked like a star, and worked great as a singles heel. Everything he did after that just didn't work because of booking."

[10.0] "Prince Pretty! Tyler Breeze is a great wrestler with regards to both in-ring and character work. His moveset is cool (I particularly like the Beauty Shot), his attires were flashy and colorful, and he seemed to enjoy his work, whether in NXT or on the main roster with Fandango. He even got to work with Jushin Thunder Liger, which is such a huge honor for anybody in the business. He never got much time to shine while on the main roster, which is a shame, but I still appreciate what he has to bring to the table and I hope WWE will one day fix their previous mistakes. LRLR 4 Life!"

[7.0] "Was a decent member of the NXT roster in that brand's early days. But since they, he has gradually slid down lower & lower on the roster. Never connected when he went to WWE. Had a couple of brief chuckles when he was doing the Fashion Police gig with Fandango. But now WWE has bashed up over the head with that joke so many times that it is just groan inducing today. Unbelievably, they are still trying to run with Breezango & anytime they come on the television, I instantly tune out."

[6.0] "A fairly good hand in the ring: nothing spectacular, but he can work a match like a seasoned heel and is very smooth and will barely if ever botch. I actually think that, while his gimmick works with the far more marky NXT crowd who are more supportive of these cheesy old fashioned kind of styles, it's dead on arrival on the main roster, and he basically has been used as a comedy goof for about 4+ years now while there. That's probably why he's been back there recently working as a tag team. He does have some decent comedy chops and can cut a promo, so there's definitely untapped potential just not being used here. Being as young as he is helps things as he'll be able to build up his wrestling (which is still good, but..... it's lacking that extra kick, maybe it's his weak looking finisher) and creditability as a legit serious contender. Breeze is better than people think he is, he just needs investment and a natural progression away from his gimmick, which screams pre show performer."

[5.0] "Decent comedy jobber with a punchable face. Being the Michaels in a tag team with Fandango is not exactly an achievement."

[7.0] "He's quite good in the ring and you can definitely tell he got some of his technical ability from Lance Storm. His character is your archetypal pretty boy, nothing much to say about that. Very likeable guy outside of wrestling."

[7.0] "What a waste man. Some said he could be the next Shawn Michaels, in his 4th year on the main roster he turned out to not even be the next Dolph Ziggler. He's a very solid wrestler and his gimmick was pretty cool too, but they never had the balls to develop it and make it more serious, and they failed at doing something with Breezango despite the duo getting over, which is a shame."

[5.0] "Back in nxt, he was one of the most promising guy there. Quite solid in the ring, have some decent charisma, decent promos as well. Then he moved to the main roster, it was a disaster. He was treated like a comedy jobber, lower midcarder at best. Now on SD, i still don't give a fuck about fashion files. I think that gimmick was trash, uninteresting. Sadly, he is very promising, but wwe dropped the ball so quickly."

[10.0] "Tyler Breeze is probably the best wrestler on WWE's main roster that isn't being pushed. Hopefully, he can find some success sooner rather than later."

[6.0] "I like Tyler Breeze, but I'm going to echo a sentiment I see all over the comment section -- he's almost certainly doomed to spend what could have been a promising career as a jobber. That's his gimmick's fault, of course; the man behind the selfies is a talented athlete who put on quality matches against the rest of his NXT class. He never rose to the top level of the promotion, but "you're not Sami Zayn" is no insult -- it's just a testament to NXT's caliber of competition. Breeze is charismatic, he's got good facials and psychology, he's got a flashy but not unrealistic style, and he's a hard worker. The only things hampering him are a doomed gimmick and, in my opinion, poor acting skills. He could use a bit more work when it comes to really inhabiting a character; often he comes off as cheesy and it's clear that he's just putting on a gimmick. Six points for a very respectable prospect who I wish could have been something more."

[5.0] "Breeze is decent on the mic and has decent charisma, his problem is his gimmick. His gimmick won't ever get over with the WWE crowd. If Breeze had a different gimmick he'd be booked differently and would have a brighter future."

[9.0] "Oh god, what a terrible sequence of events that happened after beating Ziggler. Breeze had it all in NXT, above average worker with an amazing super entertaining gimmick. He could've been the next Shawn Michaels, no exaggeration. Just got booked into the ground when on RAW"

[7.0] "Oh dear, who would want to work for a boss like Vince McMahon. Big intro to the main roster then quickly pushed down to jobber status, and even worse made to work with that walking disaster area Summer Rae. Shame i was quite impressed by him in NXT, plus he has quite a good gimmick and move set."

[8.0] "Tyler Breeze is on the cusp of having what it takes to making a proper impact on the main roster but he's already been hampered by Vince's interference in what should have been a solid transition from NXT. There is a synergy between his pretty-boy model gimmick and his moveset, which is generally executed really gracefully. It's such a shame he's not been given the proper main roster introduction he has proven he deserved."

[8.0] "A good wrestler, with his fun gimmick and wrestling ability's. The only reason I am not rating higher it seems he only to seems to have as good of matches as his opponent though."

[8.0] "As Mike McGrath/Dalton, he was always insanely talented (as students of Lance Storm are prone to being) but had an utter lack of personality. He seemed destined to be consigned to the "fun to watch but boring to listen to" category. But when he transformed (and I do mean TRANSFORMED) into Tyler Breeze, he finally became the total package. He plays his character perfectly. Plus he LOOKS like a model. Combined with his excellent ability in the ring, I have no doubt that Prince Pretty will set the WWE Universe on fire one day."

[4.0] "Over rated a wannabe Shawn Michaels and a pretty ugly guy to portray himself as a model, just don't get it lol"

[8.0] "He's got an excellent gimmick. Similar in ways to guys like Rick Martel and an early HBK, he's got his own twist on the classic vain egoist character. He does what many fail to do today and that is make you hate him. People forget these days that you're supposed to boo heels, too many heels are getting cheered because of the cool factor. Breeze, however, plays that classic heel so well and really makes you hate him and want to see him kicked in the face. He can definitely pull out a classic too when he needs to, just watch his matches with Neville and Zayn. This guy isn't just a pretty face!"

[10.0] "We've seen various heel male model gimmicks but no one ever as unique as Tyler Breeze! From his music, to his entrance, to his attire, to constantly looking at himself in his iPhone in the fuzzy case, the whole 9 yards! And it is amazing to me how much he has gotten OVER with the NXT crowd since the character change from Mike Dalton to Tyler Breeze! I'm so proud of him for how well he's been doing too since that change! I feel like changing his character to become Tyler Breeze was what he needed to do to become successful all along! Now he's one of my most favorite wrestlers to watch on NXT and especially after he got his own entrance music (which is like his own version of HBK's theme) and had that awesome match with Sami Zayn at NXT Takeover, it has made me have faith that Tyler Breeze will be a great success eventually when he's on the main roster too which I really strongly hope that will be the case!"

[7.0] "Breeze is still developing as a wrestler. He is very talented, and wrestles a strong match, however, the matches are typically too short. His promos, and interviews however are pure gold. The gimmick could be worthless if it weren't for that."
