Very similar vibe - straightforward moves, little wasted motion, overly macho demeanor belies a vulnerable warrior, a guy who relies a little too hard on his iron chin to get through and it frequently costs him when that iron shatters. Headbutts like a motherfucker. This is a dude whose signature spot is headbutting people so hard he opens up a trickle of blood on his hairline. That right there should tell you whether you will like him or not."

His match with Ishii at NOAH's New Year show and his tag title match with Daiki Inaba vs. Jack Morris and Anthony Greene are two of the most recent matches that I'd point anyone who isn't aware of his work towards. A great storyteller, with a no frills bad ass look and a hard hitting, mess you up move set. Always look forward to a Masa match."

[8.0] "Good intensity and is a pretty overt throwback to his mentor in Masa Saito in how he's not flashy and prefers gritty stiff shots and slams. He can do a good to great match against about anyone half-competent and he's very effective in tag and singles conditions. My main issues are that his size and general lack of charisma make him basically NOAH's version of Ishii: a good, smooth worker that can elevate others without losing credibility but no one is buying him as a actual main eventer whatsoever, and I can see that given his real lack of hook and character in general. Unlike Kaito, Go, or any of the big main event guys, I don't think he's ever had a singular match where he's been sensational in, just a lot of good to solid showings spread all around the place. That does harm him ultimately when going for rankings because he's stuck in that endless backpocket where he's having to get newer guys over or being filler for the bigger stars to run past. That said, I like the guy and think he's got a ton of intensity that just naturally comes off when he's beating down on others or headbutting them to death. Solid but I struggle to put him any higher than where he is right now."

"This guy's way better than he's being rated on here. A great deal of potential, this guy moves like a freight train. Easy to get behind, good babyface fire, he's essentially like a babyface Shingo. Great power junior."

Recently he got 0 points in Global Tag League teaming with Super Crazy although he was supposed to team with Morishima but he retired which is a shame as I would like to have seen those two team in the GTL."
