[7.0] "Lance Von Erich was a misunderstood talent. Everyone hates on him now for not being a real Von Erich, but at the time, he was over like Rover and anyone who says otherwise either wasn't there or is just a parrot recycling garbage they heard elsewhere. Talent-wise, he wasn't the best, but he developed into a decent wrestler. he had a good look, and for a while, got the company through some dark days. Stella Ma French wasn't really Sunshine's aunt, either, but nobody gives a shit. It's pretend. I don't care if he was a "real" Von Erich. I liked him."

[5.0] "One of the first examples of "random attractive and athletically built outsider found by an insider and then trained to wrestle". Although the Von Erich family and others crap on the guy, he did fine. Take away the ill advised gimmick and you have an acceptable babyface on the lower end of the spectrum. Later, I'll edit in a particularly dickish move in a match from Kevin Von Erich - who has always gone out of his way to bury Lance. Again, **Lance did fine and well enough**. He fit the scene and is oddly underrated due to the undeserved flak. EDIT! Here's the incident previously mentioned: WCCW Sep 27 86, The main event of the show. Watch how often Kevin pretends Lance isn't even there. From the onset, even before the bell rings his body language is telling us it's a handicap match with just he and Mike. The one time Lance is tagged in, Kevin slaps his hand as if he's pissed Lance exists. From then on, every tag is just Kevin and Mike. You can see Lance is upset - I would be as well, imagine unprofessional behavior like that every time you're forced to tag with a guy."

[5.0] "Not a real Von Erich, he adopted the name(apparently with permission) as a way of borrowing some of the Von Erich fame. He was an OK wrestler, but nothing to write home about. He could do very basic wrestling moves, and joined the real Von Erichs in their feuds with The Freebirds and Skandor Akbars stable. Overall, if he didn't have the Von Erich name, he would be totally forgotten by now."
