His method of engaging with the crowd and getting them to hate him is immensely clever and done with an ethos a majority of heels should adopt. He manages to make his opponents look like a million bucks by conjuring this sort of vulnerability - it's great characterization in that you can see the innocent, alleged Ospreay-clone kid he was a few years ago only in these moments of vulnerability, before he regains an upper hand through his despicable heel-ish methods. Great in-ring, could maybe work on the promo skills a bit but I don't care when he's so good with storytelling otherwise. One of the biggest up-and-coming stars in the company and he's not afraid to make himself look like a geek to get babyfaces over every now and then."

I think in a few years, when he is on the top of the world as AEW world champion or whatever he decides to do with his career, his entire AEW output from 2024-2026 will be considered like one of the GOATed runs a wrestler has had in a modern era. Week after week delivering matches that have a floor of "pretty good" and a ceiling of "holy shit". As a heel, he's a brutal monster who doesn't mind stooging and can get literally anyone over. He's a wrestler I feel like became very fleshed out and good in such short period of time, that I can only believe he will continue to get better until he is absolutely undeniable."

Takes alot of dangerous bumps at a young age and may want to watch it. He has good size and a good look and is figuring out his character as he goes and becoming more comfortable. Not a great promo and can get too over the til with his yelling and screeching, but I think he'll figure it out. He's good right now, but I think he has greatness in him."

[3.0] "Actually, I don't think Kyle Fletcher is such a bad wrestler. Among his positives, I can highlight his gimmick -- he really looks good as a heel in the ring; he's a professional when it comes to interacting with the crowd. Of course, based on my profile, it might seem like I consider Kyle the worst wrestler in human history, but that's not the case. That title belongs to Will Ospreay. But the difference between Kyle Fletcher and Will Ospreay is that at least Kyle hasn't shown matches where he hits his woman and acts like it's cool -- that's a plus. And I've seen various interviews with him, and he's a good guy. He explains his stance on completely different topics in different ways and communicates his point pretty clearly. For example, when asked why he wears pink gear, the dude explained that wrestlers before him, who are considered cult figures in the wrestling industry, wore gear of that color, but for some reason, the criticism comes specifically at him. Yeah, his problem is probably his voice. But everyone speaks with the voice they have. For example, I really love Liv Morgan, but back in 2018-2019, even I thought her voice was an issue. But that didn't stop her from becoming an incredible and badass wrestler. Now she's cutting some really cool promos. As for Kyle Fletcher's matches, most of them -- except for one recent match with Briscoe -- are absolute trash. He gets deadly head or neck moves done on him, but he keeps running and jumping. Even in the match with Mark Briscoe, which I liked, he didn't sell the aftermath of that spot on the table and kept running. I didn't rate him immediately when I first came to this site. I'm not fully familiar with his career, and I understand I might be biased or subjective. I waited long enough to form an opinion: when he's done with the TNT title, for example. After he lost the championship, I thought he'd get better, and I was ready to rate him higher. But he keeps showing zero matches with Okada and Bailey. And he's falling into the same trap again. I understand he's young and physically well-built, and maybe he needs the right opponent to bring out the best in him, not Mike Bailey or Kazuchika Okada. But for now, his matches are a huge problem -- not just for him but for entire shows. When their feud with Ospreay was announced, I thought he'd replace him and improve, but in their match at Full Gear, he managed to look even worse than Ospreay. By the way, on one of the wrestling resources, there's a poll for the Wrestler of the Year. And in the same bracket with Kyle Fletcher, there's MJF, who was getting almost the same number of votes as Fletcher. Many people are genuinely baffled by this. Most are leaning towards the idea that MJF had the worst year of his career, despite the fact that he had truly iconic matches with Mark Briscoe and Mistico, which are better than all of Fletcher's matches. He's literally now recognized as the Homelander of all wrestling, or at least AEW. At such a young age, he already has a strong Heel status, which allows him to promote other wrestlers and give them a serious boost, like what happened with Mark Briscoe. And he probably simply outgrew the promotion he's in, where there's nothing left for him to do, just like Jon Moxley. Can Fletcher boast the same right now? The question is rhetorical. Updated assessment as of February 21. This wrestler has become way too irritating after his win over Ciampa. Not because he's a great heel, but because he's arrogant and clingy. I thought he had changed after a solid match with Jon Moxley, but he's basically becoming a problem for the promotion. He's drawing too much attention to himself, having poor matches without selling. And even though the match with Ciampa was good, the fact that he won and ruined Ciampa's hot run with his narcissism just kills the entire match and all the work that went into it."

[9.0] "At first I gave that guy an eight, but man, he is being for me the best TV wrestler in the entire world. He is so great, so incredible, and has been like that since his tag Aussie Open with Mark Davis, only got improvements more and more, we can't hide it anymore. He deserve to grow up one more spot for me, I really love his ring style, agressive at the same time it is intense and fits pretty much well with the american style. Huge talent, have still some itches that he need to fix and he surely will, he is young and good enough for that."

Great wrestler, great promos, great character, nice ring gear... That heel turn against Ospreay literally made his career, which is rare in an environment today where most undercard guys just coast along and rarely make a name for themselves outside of their cult followings."

Since then, he's become ROH World TV Champion, TNT Champion, and challenged for the AEW World Championship in the main event spot on a PPV. Sky is the limit for Fletcher at 26, as he continues to improve match by match and promo by promo."

As it has allowed him to show the world what an amazing singles wrestler and my breakout star of 2024, From his 4 matches and amazing feud with Ospreay which ended at Revolution in a Star making performance for him in a MOTYC to his series with Mark Briscoe and his Work in the Continental Classic he has shown he is not an Ospreay clone but in fact he is the real deal. He has the in-ring ability along with his lethal top rope brainbuster finish, the look and the charisma on the mic to go all the way to the top of the industry and hopefully he will get his first AEW singles gold in the coming months, I have rated him around an 8.5 but that will only continue to rise as he goes from The ProtoStar into the Big Star. Right i am back to this post All out and this man has just gone to another level that includes his TNT title street fight win vs Dustin in one of the best TV matches of the year. He is 26 years old and showed on saturday why he deserves to main event any shiow in wrestling and i would say he made a certain former lower midcarder with a shit podcast look very stupid. I had Kyle around an 8.5 back when i first wrote this but he is easily a 9.25/10 now and the scary part is i see him becoming the complete package and a 10/10 beofre the end of 2026"

His matches are spectacular, his presence is perfect, he reminds me of a young Randy Orton and honestly, in the ring (if I may) he's even better. One of the main reasons to watch AEW."

I thought Aussie Open were one of the best tag teams on the UK scene early in his career, but he never really stood out for me as a singles guy. The work he's put in since moving to the states doesn't go unnoticed. His physique is fantastic, he has a great look and carries himself with real main event level confidence. I think he is a brilliant heel but can easily see him being top babyface somewhere. His in-ring work is excellent, he can hang with the best of them (which is regularly does). Give him a few years and I see this being a 10."

I'm sorry, I wasn't familiar with your game man. Fletcher has been knocking it out the park as a heel. He has a great look and is in the best shape of his carrer physically. He's a good heel as the Ospreay feud really made him hated. The matches with Ospreay and the Trilogy of Excellent matches he had with Mark Briscoe proves that Fletcher is a star for the future. Sure he's solid in the ring & I appreciate the fact that he got very in shape since becoming a singles wrestler. But the area he lacks is in natural charisma. To me, it feels like so much of his push has come thanks to using the rub from Ospreay. And don't get me wrong, getting the rub from a coworker is not a bad thing. But I just don't find that rub paying off in a way that it hopefully might. I also tend to think his matches are overbooked & almost always go too long. This is again, an area that fans in attendance always go crazy for. But it's not always the best for making a complete television show. I also hate his nickname of the "Protostar". It comes off as a dork who's trying too hard to sound cool."
