Obviously, that's a huge dent. It's always a difficult question, because do you just auto-rate creeps like him and Grizzly Smith and Chris Benoit (among many others) with a flat zero? Ultimately, there are too many awful people in wrestling for me to write them off entirely due to their out of the ring activities - but I include it in my personal rubric. And for Otani, that's enough to drop him down to the bottom, because he simply doesn't have enough going on. A passable wrestler but without anything interesting, a kind of cringe gimmick and presentation even when you don't know he's a convicted pedophile - it's not good. He's got a decent crowd reaction, at least at the tiny shows I saw him at, but the best thing I can say about him is that he's a passably generic pretty boy with a selfie stick and honestly even that would make me want to roll my eyes back into my head if it wasn't for the other stuff. You're missing nothing."

He is a convicted pedophile and having him in promotions where children are in the audience (and even some of the wrestlers are underage) is an astonishing oversight. But even ignoring all of that Joji is at best, mid as hell. He doesn't sell, his offense isn't remarkable, and he is outshone in every match he is in. PPP is a fun promotion, but I can not support it as long as the keep booking this monster"

He has had bodies of work with indie promotions in Japan that hold some actually incredible talent, and he so has to plague those said promotions and their rosters to make their bodies of work unwatchable whenever he is on the card. As KVR216 pointed to, it really does not matter how good Joji is in terms of his work ethic and his prowess as a wrestler, what he did outside of the ring and what he still has on his fingertips is absolutely vile, and to think he is still getting bookings means that even still the lowest of the low will still get bookings (i.e. Hajime Ohara & Hiroshi Hase, to name a few). Fuck him."
