[10.0] "He was my favorite superstar, always had great style, a beautiful physique, and his fluid movements were incredible. He truly deserved more in WWE. At least he received the recognition he deserved in other companies. I wish he had one last great singles run in AEW."

"I loved Johnny Nitro. Then he became the goat for me when he upgraded to John Morrison. I became fan of The Shaman of Sexy was from 2007 to mid 2010s. He looks phenomenal and great, really living up to the name The Shaman of Sexy. He is good as a Babyface, but so much better as a heel. Pairing him with The Miz and mocking everyone and the Dirt Sheet was goated imo. I also loved his singles run after splitting from Miz. Also, I can type forever when it comes to his wrestling skills and movesets. He has great wrestling moves and also those creative high flying skills. I have never seen someone for his size that do the things he does with grace - except maybe Rey Mysterio. He is my perfect wrestler type/build. Great height, great weight, and moves very amazingly in the ring. Imo his championship runs are good too. ECW Champ was memorable, but his best was Intercontinental Championship runs in 2009 with all the great foes he faced, Ziggler, McIntyre and many more. He complimented those wrestlers really well and the story they tell in the ring and also the rivalry is chef's kiss for me. He is my goat."

[7.0] "John Morrison, at times, was one of my favorites in WWE. In 2007-2010, he was one of the few watchable parts of WWE. And I think some of his stuff in Lucha Underground was amazing too. There's been some lulls, but he's someone I've always thought was solid but not amazing."

[6.0] "Well, Johnny TV is not for me. I understand how good he was at his peak, however his peak was at Impact which I am not a huge fan off, and Lucha Underground, which I never saw that much off. I can't rate him lower than that, I know how good he was but today we can't describe him with another word besides washed."

[7.0] "An athletic and charismatic career midcarder, someone who remains dependable to this day - Johnny can give a good to great match, but never managed to reach higher levels despite many chances. Maybe if given a chance to work with a Mike Bailey or Will Ospreay we could see him have a fantastic match in this late stage of his career."

[0.0] "I've never liked John Morrison for exactly the same reasons as Will Ospreay. I never understood why he was touted for a push in WWE. He's Ospreay of his time. He has no understanding of how to build an interesting, logical, and memorable match. His moves are random, out of place. Zero charisma. His character is just a guy faking being a cute pretty boy. There's a whole forest of midcard and lowcard wrestlers with such boring gimmicks. His promos are uninteresting, zero promo skills. And for these reasons, in 2020-2021, nobody expected him to get more than tag team belts or a comedic role, especially when Big E could have beaten him with a submission hold. Having watched him in WWE, Impact or Lucha Underground, I see zero talent. His interaction with Sexy Star was the worst thing I've seen in wrestling. And I can't even remember what he was doing in AEW. I see no positives in him."

[7.0] "Clearly had the look and skills and was on his way to the main event scene, in my opinion his moveset and charisma never caught up to everything else and he ended up sliding down the card, not bad by any means but change a few things and give him a bit more luck and he could have been at the top"

[10.0] "Always been one of my favorites! He's wrestled for so many different company's! He's great in the ring and is very charismatic! His promos are always very good!"

[9.0] "Incredibly talented. Huge athleticism and charisma, and genuinely creative highflying. I'm definitely a proponent of Starship pain, and his standing spanish fly is a really, REALLY good finisher. He's a high level story teller too. Plus, he looks different: you never see Hennig in the ring and get confused who that is. His only sort of notable weakness is he can't carry people, and instead if working with a less talented worker, he definitely seems to get weight down into being unable to doing interesting with them, which is kind of a glaring flaw since a ton of people less talented than him are capable of carrying someone to their level. But overall, he's an extremely exciting and dynamic worker."

[9.0] "This guy could do more crazy spots in the ring but he understood the assignment "less is more". It's too bad that WWE never truly believes in his main event status because he could be a main eventer for a short run. Now, this run in AEW is not very exciting, and I kind of miss him in Lucha Underground."

"Such a very underutilized wrestler by WWE, I wish that he had a bigger career right there, he's very talented, I hope he returns to WWE and gets a bigger run"

[7.0] "The most successful Tough Enough winner, and the second most succesful guy from that show (Miz being the clear winner due to winning the WWE title.) Nitro, Morrison, Impact, TV, Whatever you want to call him, the guy was very solid in-ring and is incredibly athletic. The only thing this guy couldn't do was talk. He was completely void of charisma, though he has gotten slightly better in recent years. During his first run with WWE, if he had better skills on the mic he would've been a star, no doubt about it. I really loved his tag team run as MNM, went on to have a good singles run on Raw and then later ECW. Hit his ceiling a few years later as IC Champion. Was never going to get past that midcard status in WWE. Didn't see too much of his TNA stuff, but his Lucha Underground work was fantastic and really put him back on the map in my opinion. Dipped out of the WWE product around the same time he came back, seen a few bits and bobs of his work during that time and it's pretty much the same thing he was going through the first time around. Overall, solid wrestler, great look, bad on the mic, easy 7 for me."

[7.0] "Johnny Nitro/Mundo/Impact/Elite/TV/Hennigan/Morrison is no doubt an incredible athlete with a fantastic look and moveset. The biggest drawback you have with him is that he lacks charisma and he's not a good promo. He's amazing once he steps into the ring and he's shown himself to be a reliable and versatile competitor whose able to sustain prolonged success outside the WWE bubble. Even within the WWE bubble, he's a 6 time tag team champion with 3 of those being when he was with MNM. He's a 3 time Intercontinental Champion as well as a former ECW champion even though he wasn't originally supposed to win the belt in the first place due to a tragedy. Like Miz, Morrison is a highly reliable and consistent competitor though he's got an edge over Miz in terms of athleticism."

[8.0] "Happy to see Johnny with such a good rating here, I've always felt he was underrated by most. Fun wrestler with a unique style, fantastic look and off the charts athleticism. Sure he's lost a step by now, but that's to be expected for a guy in his mid 40s with such a remarkably athletic style. He really showed what he's capable of as a top guy in Lucha Underground and TNA, despite never getting that shot in WWE or even AEW. Never the best promo in the world but he more than makes up for that with his charisma and presence; pair him with a strong manager (like Melina or Taya) and he's good to go. Good babyface, great heel and - it can't be overstated - a truly phenomenal athlete."

[9.0] "sure he couldn't cut a promo to save his life but eveything is excellent that it's not hard to not gravitate toward him. capable of wrestle a good match by bring a lot of things unique to the table. Have a fantastic look throughout his career and a legendary entrance. Really solidified his legacy in Lucha Underground and IMPACT. to add to that, real likeable guy irl, like he is such an interesting person to follow thatever bs he is up to. sure he didn't achieve something truly great but it's still a remarkable career."

[8.0] "Little before I stopped watching due to TV PG happening, he was my favourite young and active athlete. A underrated talent, sad he didnt' become WWE Champion."

[6.0] "Not sure what it is about Johnny. I know hes a talented guy. He has physical charisma and a great look. That charisma never really translated to the mic in my opinion. It hurt him in my eyes that he has jumped around through so many companies. I really enjoyed his work when he was in MNM as Johnny Nitro, that is probably my favorite iteration of Johnny."

"John is one of the reasons I started watching wrestling in the first place, he and The Miz were surprisingly my inspiration for watching Pro Wrestling after they were marketed on a show back in the late 2000s. His acrobatics along with great character and mic skills made me like him a lot, probably the most underrated and most underappreciated talent in the modern 21st century of Professional Wrestling."

[9.0] "Enhancement: Regardless of the promotion, John enahances the product wherever he goes. He has the look, experience and unique skillset (parkour sp) to set himself apart. He can still perform well, but also doesn't seem to have the ego that drags down a lot of AEW where the same 3 vets are the only ones who do a job (which makes the product far too predictable and boring), almost to his detriment. Teaming with Taya provides some direction and feud with Dalton has been fun"

[6.0] "His gimmick names are pretty much the most entertaining thing about him. He is a perfectly find mid card guy but beyond that I am not really sure what others see in him. Boggles my mind that he has a contract with AEW in 2024 as there really is no more value left on the table."

[9.0] "When a wrestler has worked in WWE, AEW, Impact, AAA, PROGRESS, MLW, ROH, GCW, etc, you know that they're one of the best. Johnny is honestly one of the greatest wrestlers on the indies right now, and as long as he keeps this up, he'll be a legend."

[10.0] "I don't know what to say about John, he has it all. Charisma, High-Flying abilities, looks. He is one of a kind, WWE really missed out on him and he should have been pushed more to showcase his skills but he was used as a lower mid-carder and there were times where he looked like a jobber. AEW need to give him what he deserves before he retires."

[10.0] "Actually underrated. Being used in QTV is certainly coloring his reception now, but just look at when he's given the ball: he was World Champ in AAA, IMPACT, and Lucha Underground, and his chemistry with guys like Ricochet and Brian Cage is out of this world. A guy who introduced a lot of us who didn't watch the indies to more wild moves than you'd normally see in WWE. If you can accept the Palace of Wisdom, you can accept Johnny as one of the greats from that lost generation of 2006-2011 done in by awful Vince McMahon booking."

[8.0] "It will always hurt me personally that John (whatever gimick last name you like best) will forever be the ultimate bridesmaid more than a bride. Sure he's got a few *technically* world championships, but WWE constantly took him for granted and it looks like he's past his prime too much for Impact or AEW's liking at this point. He's kind of just...an after thought now despite how amazing he was. Sure he could have better character and promo work, but his athletics and match performances more than made up for it. You'll always be a top wrestler to me man, or at least in the top 100, which seriously is still an achievement"

[5.0] "He's a talented wrestler, but his matches are still boring, his mic skills are awful, and clearly can't stick anywhere in any promotion."

[9.0] "another underrated talent. he could be a main event star level if he got the right booking. (and he did in multiple companies btw). I hoped he join BC Gold if he signed with AEW. but rather that that he got into the entertainment guys stable"

[8.0] "Johnny has made a name wherever he goes (and gotten a new one everywhere as well). In the ring his athleticism makes him a star and he has a great presence and mic skills as well. Can carry smaller companies and is a great upper midcarder in the bigger companies."

"The guys never made much sense to me; I find his in-ring work to be awkward looking. Even in his MNM days, he was MUCH WORSE that joey mercury, his singles career was forgettable. And heres the real elephant in the room; why all the goofy name changes? He notoriously goes thru every dying company, almost never one with much of a future. Sadly, he kinda reminds me of a modern disco inferno."

[7.0] "A consummate professional John Morrison has a great flair and energy to him, his Royal Rumble spots are utterly excellent"

[7.0] "Johnny has had a really good career. I had a soft spot for MNM so I liked him straight off the bat and his work is really good. He gets the basics whilst having great athleticism. I might be being a little generous with the rating because he never really proved himself beyond the midcard but he's always watchable and the many Johnny names are always fun and a nice little uniqueness he has."

[5.0] "John Morrison, Hennigan , Mundo, drip drip..etc is a great athlete. Thats honestly about all that he has going for him. He has a really good look and moves well in the ring, but he's also stuck in the middle of being a pretty boy and a complete goofy dork. Needs to toughen up his look/facial expressions and maybe someone will finally take him seriously."

[6.0] "a great and unique highflyer, the way he moves is very unique but he never really connected with me emotionally, it never goes past "that was cool" for me"

[6.0] "I fondly remember the promo that Austin Aries cut on John Hennigan by saying, "You look the part". Man, was Austin Aries right, because with John Hennigan all he has is the look. He does flips in the ring, and is not a Ring General, I see no charisma, no presence, no aura, no "IT' Factor, and he constantly changes his name in every promotion that he wrestles for to make himself look like the ACE when he is certainly not. It just goes on & on. John Hennigan is nothing more than a geek."

[9.0] "John Morrison is a very good wrestler. He's super athletic, but unlike other high flyers, he has a good ground game as well. His striking is convincing and he can take things to the mat if need be too. He saves his high flying for big spots, which is what I appreciate about him most. His promo ability was fairly tame for most of his career, but his final few months in WWE proved he has great comedic timing and charm. He's past his prime at this point, and not necessarily main event material, but he can always be called upon to put on a good match."

[8.0] "Extremely talented wrestler and although not always main event material can always be relied on to put on a good match"

"One of my all time favorites from WWE. He is very talented I feel he is being wasted with the stupid drip drip gimmick but that's not his fault. His indy work was amazing. Impact also. I also followed his Mexico and LU run as Johnny Mundo. He is a great high flyer but I feel he can also be a great main eventer and potential world champion but Vince will never see that. He's been everywhere and thrived. He hasn't had a bad run in WWE although he should be doing more"

[8.0] "He is a great fighter who is not having his best moment in WWE, he is missed being a great athlete jumping, now he looks like a clown, however I give him an 8 for the great career he has made in the world of pro -wrestling."

[8.0] "This rating would be lower if one hasn't seen him outside WWE. He's an all around great star. On the mic, he's natural and entertaining and can be comedic like right now which is pretty entertaining. He's great in the ring as well and athletic, which can result in him working pretty much any style. He was a star outside WWE who could bring out great matches and moments but in WWE they don't see him as a main star. As a tag team wrestler though, he's great as well and that helps reduce some of the sting of being mismanaged by the promotion. Really underrated though as his Impact and Lucha Underground runs were a lot of fun."

[9.0] "John Morrison was made for Pro Wrestling. his Athletic ability is Phenomenal! He is one of the most eye-catching wrestlers on the current WWE roster. he has everything you need to be a top guy in pro wrestling. he has great promos with funny and entertaining lines, unbelievable in ring abilities, and his gear puts the cherry on top. very flashy and i love his entrance. unfortunately he is the victim of very questionable booking, but many wrestlers keep putting him over so hopefully one of these days he will get the credit, and title run that he deserves. i recommend watching his work in lucha underground, AAA, and Impact."

[3.0] "The overused phrases lack of psychology, only good at gymnastics etc is wrongly used against certain wrestlers in recent years that can perform to a very high level, but is certainly the case for Morrison. Incapable of having a good wrestling match, very awkward on the mic, zero charisma. Can only sell by flipping about, ala Ziggler. Overshadowed by likes of Melina and Miz throughout his career, had a decent run in Lucha Underground where his style could work in that setting, but has done nothing worthy of high praise outside of that. Suitable only for memorable spots in a gimmick match such as a Royal Rumble or Ladder match."

[10.0] "Morrison deserves better. He does not deserve to loose for 8 months straight and then win 2 handicap matches, followed by another straight month of loosing, and finally wining in another handicap match. He looks like a jobber and I hate it. People say he is too old, but styles, orton, etc are in their 40s. But you do not see them loosing for 8 months straight do you? The moronic logic of some of these people are crazy! They also say he got his push in 2010, and that he doesnt need another push anymore. That? s like saying taker got pushed in 1991 so he should not be pushed anymore. That is like saying oh well aj won the title back in 16 so he should stop winning and drop matches left and right. Like No, your logic is stupid."

[3.0] "This guy is a turd compared to what his rating suggests. His run in mnm was good and he looks like a winner but other than that his matches suck and I can? t for the life of me think of something he? s done that? s worth going back and watching. Im not sure what else to say about a guy that is absolutely generic to his time period. Im not sure how much I? m supposed to say because I deviated this far from his rating but I just want the record to show that I think this lame gets way more credit than he deserves."

[7.0] "There's no doubting that Morrison/Nitro/Impact has a lot of upsides: looks like a million bucks, moves well in the ring, innovative in his high flying, etc. The main problem/barrier that keeps him from the main event is his lack of mic skill/charisma: not saying he's incapable of cutting a promo but he's just not very good at talking and that was covered very well by him being in a tag team with The Miz, whom could play off him very well. When he was a singles guy he kinda dropped off after a while and his lack of character (he's a guy who does flips..... that was it) didn't get him very far. I haven't kept up with his work in Impact and WWE but he doesn't seem to have massively improved from that aspect, and I personally feel that his Lucha Underground stuff was the only real time where he seemed like he could be a main event guy. Solid tag specialist and a decent heel with Miz, but he's very limited from everything outside of the ring."

[10.0] "By far one of the best wrestlers in the world right now. His move set is pure perfection, he's got the body and the ring ability to be a good heel WWE champion but unfortunately, Vince never pushed him. He prefers wrestlers with 2 moves like Orton, Cena, Mahal, Braun, Roman, and Miz. Only his mic skills are kinda weak but he has improved even on that the last year."

[7.0] "John Morrison is an exceptionally skilled, talented and willing performer; it really is a shame he can't or doesn't possess the necessary personality-depth to be a major player in the American big leagues."

[6.0] "John Morrison has never really done it for me. He was at his best in WWE as part of MNM, and although his Lucha Underground run is pretty solid from what I've seen, everything after that is fine. He's dependable in the ring and he has a good look. Parkour's stupid, though."

[10.0] "One of the most underrated superstars of the wrestling. John Morrison should have had a stronger career at WWE and be a winner, for example, the MITB."

[9.0] "I look at Johnny *insert current name* as the biggest all-rounder of his generation after AJ Styles. He's successful worldwide and yes, he did have a lot of impact in the WWE even without a world title run. Though his character doesn't take a lot of changes throughout his international career, it's still great how he excels in every role. His wrestling is great to see, especially since his high-flying is not just visual beauty, but it has meaning for the match's storytelling. He's a charismatic wrestling lover who probably a lot of workers love to work with. No matter, if his road goes to WWE, AEW or somewhere else: Johnny is one of the most impressive wrestler to ever step foot in the ring."

[9.0] "Nitro/Morrison/Impact/Mundo is really a gem to watch compete. I love his style and his look. I wish he would have had a run with the WWE title for a short time, but even that he didn't I still think everything he's been a part of post-WWE is better if he's involved. He was one of the key players in getting Lucha Underground off the ground. He's been solid in Impact. I wonder if he'll be AEW bound once his Impact contract runs out. Johnny Elite is not a bad sounding name. My one big criticism is that Starship Pain always looks terrible. He never hits it. And it is so obvious that all he needs to do is position the downed opponent more towards the center of the ring. I don't get why he doesn't fix it. Maddening!"
