[10.0] "One half of the greatest tag team of all time. And he will probably go down as the greatest singles wrestler that didn't have a singles career in mainstream wrestling (at least, as I'm writing this, on September 5th, 2025). When Nick Jackson has the opportunity to shine as a singles competitor, he always delivered. Some wrestlers are really, and I mean, REALLY, lucky, that Nick Jackson doesn't have an inflated ego that can push himself into a singles run, because he would've put a lot of wrestlers on the bench with how talented he is."

[10.0] "What I said about the Bucks as a tag team, I said on Matt's page. I believe them to be the GOATs. Nick is the higher flyer of the two and is a little bit weaker of a character actor. He has more of the memorable offensive spots while Matt usually takes some of the bigger bumps, I feel. They work together like PB&J and they both deserve a 9+ rating. People also heavily underrate their psychology and storytelling because all they see is cool spots."

[6.0] "Slightly superior to his brother, I've always wished Nick Jackson would have a singles run and stop imitating his brother's bad habits. Unfortunately, after seeing his last run as "Nicholas Jackson" I lost faith that this talented wrestler would ever take his job seriously and shine, especially at his age. All the potential to be a star in the junior division was lost... Nick could have been a "Best of the Super Juniors" winner but he settled for being the "Jannetty" of a dead tag team."
AceHagann wrote on 28.11.2024:
[4.0] "It might be controversial to say, but the Young Bucks feel extremely overrated. You might see one of their matches and think that they are gifted performers with lots of talent. And when looked under a certain light, they are. Your average wrestler surely wouldn't be able to pull several of their stunts like they do with ease. The catch is that they only know one match. The more you see them in action the more you'll see they play the same tune over, and over, and over again. And that's the extent of their in-ring talent. As for their character work and mic skills, both are terrible. They are pretty generic, and their talk only makes me roll my eyes, wishing the show moves on from them as soon as possible."
Saladbagel wrote on 30.10.2024:
[5.0] "You either love the Young Bucks, or you hate them. Their matches always come across as feeling the same, so they can't do much to change a person's opinion of them. More importantly, neither Young Buck can cut a good promo, and their gimmicks have always been generic enough to the point of being boring. Their fans can be insufferable, especially if you don't like their style. Nonetheless, Nicholas Jackson is much like his brother in terms of being a modern wrestler where psychology isn't as important as spots, for better or for worse."

[8.0] "the better buck if you ask me, he's a better talker, better in ring, willing to work singles matches unlike matt, and more charismatic than his brother, but he's still a good hand in the ring, usually more of a high flying spot guy which works very well against other high flying spot guys (lucha bros, private party, addiction etc) he bumps really well against bigger guys who can just thow him around and he works really well as the smarmy heel, the underdog face, and now, with the corrupt evp gimmick he works really well, not the best wrestler out there but i do pay more attention when nick is in the tag match than matt"
JBruce1018 wrote on 13.07.2024:
[6.0] "Probably the better of the two Bucks, but as I stated in my review of his brother, just not my type of performer that I enjoy watching or find exciting. And the Meltzer Driver is the worst finishing move Ive ever seen as well. I do appreciate what theyve done in wrestling for helping AEW become a thing though."
TheDeity wrote on 13.12.2023:
[6.0] "Nick Jackson, much like his brother, is just the usual indieriffic wrestler with overly choreographed matches and lackluster psychology (although their occasional callbacks to previous matches is a nice touch), Being integral to the creation of AEW is a great thing for the business, but Matt and Nick Jackson are honestly just a competent tag team that isn't as entertaining as many of their vocal fans make them out to be."
vertebreaker94 wrote on 09.10.2023:
[10.0] "Nick and his brother Matt are two of the most historically significant wrestlers in modern wrestling, popularizing so many elements of wrestling as it evolved in the 2010s and into the 2020s, and have an influence on nearly every promotion in the world."
NickJammer2221 wrote on 09.07.2023:
[4.0] "I can take them in multi man tag matches as we see them less and they can have some exciting moments in their matches. However, they have 0 psychology, tend to rely on obviously planned and rehearsed spots and have never improved in their time in the ring. In 2023 I don't think they have meant less since they were in TNA."

benh2 wrote on 17.04.2023:

He hasn't evolved much and puts on the same kind of match over and over like he is trying to generate as many 15 second highlight clips as possible. I think he would benefit from having a different tag partner who could provide more contrast to his style."

He hates Nick and Matt and that's fine. I think he's funny and great but the Bucks are also great. Great tag team. Skilled marketers. Draws. Thats what we are rating. Nick is practically the Ricky Morton some matches. He is awesome."
Unright wrote on 29.11.2022:

CutterClub wrote on 01.11.2022:

devwil wrote on 28.09.2022:
[9.0] "He's more athletic than Matt but not as expressive as a performer. It's not like he's a total charisma black hole or anything, but there's a reason that he's typically the hot tag instead of the one selling for long stretches of time."
Matt Macks wrote on 02.07.2022:
[10.0] "Nick should be regarded as one of the greatest athletes in the history of wrestling for his continued greatness. He does high-flying in a crisp, safe style that looks effortless, even if it isn't. He is as fluent as water in some of his move combinations and it's an absolute joy to watch. As with Matt, Nick's career will be forever linked to the success of the Young Bucks, but in the few instances where Nick is working singles matches, he has shown that he can be just as brilliant, just as flashy and just as awesome to watch as in tag team matches."
NoSell wrote on 04.06.2022:

LivingLegend wrote on 23.01.2022:
[2.0] "Both Bucks are basically the same in terms of ring work, but Nick is inferior in terms of mic work and charisma, though Matt isn't much better in those regards either. Typical spot monkey no seller who hops around like a lunatic doing moves just to get a crowd reaction. With a bland and forgettable indie guy look, poor mic work and charisma, and his obnoxious ring work, I can't give him anything higher than a 2."
PhenomenalGun wrote on 22.12.2021:

Nick is incredibly athletics and can do things in the ring that are absolutely insane, being one of the most consistently fantastic high-flyers in the world right now."

They also have some great looks and act well as both faces and heels (even if they can be somewhat obnoxious). Neither of them are particularly good on mic from what I have ever heard, but they don't need it. No doubt, they will become (or are already) an important part of Pro-Wrestling history."
KyleEnjoysWrestling wrote on 07.08.2019:
[3.0] "Hard to talk about as a solo, as pretty much everything he's done has been as a part of the Bucks. As a team, I can't stand 90% of their matches. Pinball video game matches. Doing their part to kill the superkick. Nothing matters except for high spots. Tag rules are thrown out the door in favor of non sensical double team maneuvers. If you've seen one Young Bucks match, you've seen them all. I see potential in them and I was hoping they might change things up with the launch of AEW, but thus far their matches with the Lucha Bros has just been more of the same."

But as a team, it's easy to see why they've become so popular. Spot wrestlers? Perhaps, but no one does that style better."
