Jeep Swenson

[5.0] "I know I might be giving an emotional comment, but really, now that I know Jeep is dead, I can't criticize him harshly. This guy was in his most normal form, had a cool style, but he played the wrong character in the movie, and didn't have any interesting stories or, more importantly, any interesting matches."

[0.0] "I am slightly biased here, for two reasons. One, I am a huge Batman fan, and Bane is one of my favorite Batman villains, so Jeep is on thin ice to begin with for his absolutely dire portrayal in the worst Batman movie - something that isn't really his fault, but it still stings. Then, there's the fact that the only match of his I've watched is, admittedly, the absolutely dire Doomsday Cage match from Uncensored 1996. That being said, nothing here makes me think he's anything more than your typical big stiff. A guy hired solely because Hogan worked with him on No Holds Barred, with no in-ring talent, a decent-at-best barrel chested monster look, and briefly one of the worst gimmick names in history when WCW actually called him the Final Solution, before someone screamed at them all the reasons they couldn't and shouldn't do that. Again, not really Jeep's fault, but still awful. He simply brought nothing good to the table in wrestling. Rest in peace, though, big man."

[1.0] "A mountain of muscle, Swenson certainly cut an imposing figure, but that massive stature also hindered his actual in-ring ability, rendering him largely stiff and immobile, to a point that even Bruiser Brody had his work cut out for him in getting a passable brawl out of him. He could make for an effective bodyguard/enforcer-type figure but as an actual competitor just wasn't able to do much. After runs in Texas he had his most prominent, albeit brief, run in WCW as the Alliance to End Hulkamania's Fi- er, Ultimate Solution. Fans of wrestling movies will also recall him in Hulk Hogan's "No Holds Barred, " while he had his most mainstream appearance in Bane in the infamous "Batman & Robin." Sadly passed young of a heart attack, perhaps contributed to by his reported two-decade reliance on steroids."

[1.0] "Jeep Swenson looked the part but was overall a terrible wrestler who couldn't do more than punch. He will remembered for two thing, his terrible stint in WCW where they gave him a really really bad name that makes me question who thought of that. The second is his role as Bane in the Batman films which is incredible casting."

[0.0] "Not a wrestler by any means. Just a gigantic roid head who, according to the story abused steroids to the point that he couldn't even get in a frigging shower by himself, either by size, or just being an immobile pile of muscle."

"Could have been an all time great. Took time off after a promising start to his career, which of course ended too early. I watched him box when he was much younger. He also competed in rodeo. His dad was known as "Tank" RIP big man."

[0.0] "If i said he made The Warlord look like Kurt Angle, it would be a grotesquely gross understatement and insult to both The Warlord and Kurt Angle. I'll even say Loch Ness in WCW was better."

[3.0] "Was he a good wrestler? No. Could he talk eloquently on the microphone? No. But he fulfilled his role of silent badass bodyguard quite well. Jeep was a huge man with arms the size of tree trunks, and his appearance alone was enough to make people think twice. So for that alone I'll give him a three."
