[9.0] "From my observations of JC Bailey, he is similar to Danny Havoc in that he was fearless, relentless, creative, and charming, but there is a significant difference in what drove Danny versus JC. While Danny Havoc was driven by love of the craft and creative genius, it seemed JC Bailey was driven by something darker. There was an air of desperation about him in his matches, like he was running from something. Perhaps whatever gnawed at him was also what drove him to alcoholism, drug addiction, and, ultimately, his untimely death. JC was, at times, seemingly almost manic in his ring work, hitting spot after spot like his life depended on it. Yet, behind it all was a man who was deeply thoughtful, intelligent, compassionate, and dedicated. He did not hesitate to throw himself into potentially lethal amounts of glass, barbed wire, and thumbtacks, nor did he hold back on his opponents. He took a lot of abuse and kept going, swinging like a cornered animal. Taking all of this into consideration, I believe a 9 is fitting for him."

[9.0] "JC always had problems, drug issues, arrests, but he was an incredible person and wrestler. I especially like his unique style, always fast, fierce, and resilient. But it's still hard to watch because all those qualities I mentioned were due to substance use. JC never showed any physical pain or wear and tear that he may have carried over the years (perhaps because he was still young and/or because of his addictions), but he must have been exhausted by the abuse he suffered. JC could entertain, he could put on a good match, but at what cost did he do all that? In his matches, he was never the most athletic or technical, but he did show considerable skill in all the basic areas. It's also worth noting that he was, at times, completely unhinged, dishing out and receiving punishments and blows as if they didn't matter. However, behind that madness and explosiveness, there was a very good guy, who was a victim of circumstance."

[7.0] "JC Bailey was a truly captivating deathmatch wrestler, and his style drew inspiration from pioneers like "Sick" Nick Mondo. His willingness to risk everything for the thrill of the genre reminds me of the high-flying antics of Jeff Hardy and the hardcore edge of Mankind from the old WWF. While he might occasionally display a disregard for his opponents' safety, his matches are consistently entertaining. Whenever I hear Linkin Park's "Faint, " I can't help but think of JC Bailey, as it was his most iconic theme song. RIP, JC-B."

[9.0] "One of my favorite deathmatch wrestlers of all time. Bailey was one of the most inspirational and loved wrestlers to step foot into CZW. He's had some incredible matches with Drake Younger, Necro Butcher, and many other deathmatch talent. It is such a shame that he was getting paid with drugs by Ian Rotten and passed away due to that. RIP JC. You will be missed."

Other small guys who crossed over to the deathmatch style (Mondo, Webb, Younger, Havoc etc. ) could at least wrestle pretty decently -- Bailey was quite a ways below any of those guys. Wrestling, drugs, jail and early death ? a true Kentucky white trash life and death"

The CZW wrestlers from yesteryear are pretty much judged on how much stupid shit they were willing to do to themselves. Bailey took a lot, so he's usually remembered with much fondness. Unless they evolve the way Moxley did, most people who competed in backyard wrestling back in the 2000s played a hand in making wrestling worse."

He was a guy who put everything on the line, day in and day out. His matches were always entertaining because there was always something special about him. He did the things other people wouldn't in death matches, and I am not talking about new weapons. He was very talented without all the goodies. Rest In Peace, J. C. The deathmatch family misses you."
